Leon Ware was a smooth as silk soul brother! I love that work that he did on Quincy Jones' "Body Heat" album, and my favorite song that Leon co-wrote on that album is "If I Ever Lose This Heaven". However, my favorite overall work by Leon Ware was his collaboration with Marvin Gaye on Marvin's "I Want You" album. This entire album is excellently written and produced by Leon Ware!

I had the pleasure of interviewing he and his wife before he passed. Wonderful man and very funny. It was right before Christmas and he nicknamed himself Sensual Santa. Wonderful person and greatly missed.

Thanks, WBPTV for this story on Leon Ware. I had never heard of him but some of the music he penned are some of my favorites. His hand was behind some classic cuts. If I Ever Lose This Heaven, being one and a personal favorite of mine. I love AWB version (will check out the other artists version) as well as, I Wanna Be Where You Are song by Michael Jackson. He really had the gift for writing and was indeed an architect.🌹
