very useful I have a universal cd player that has composite out but newer TVS don't support CVIS composite anymore so to see the menu of my player I use this device it s just a little messy with the cable situation . Better to go directly with one cable but sometimes that cant be possible. Thanks for sharing your video.

I just bought it to use today. it really works It is capable of displaying both 720p and 1080p. I bought it to convert video recorded on Mini DV tapes to video files through OBS on my computer.
How did you input the hdmi on your computer?

Looks like I should be able to connect our Wi game to our new TV which has no AV inlets , only HDMI ! The folks in my senior building were disappointed when I told them I couldn’t connect our old Nintendo Wi to our newer TV! Now I know it’s possible!

One thing that confuses me about these is that they advertise to both support pal and ntsc but then output resolution is only in 60 frames? Or is that just maximum and they are actually capable of detecting and outputing 50frames too?

the av device is not 480p. it's 480i or 576i
Funny thing is you don't need to use the usb cord to power it up. I was in a rush and forgot to plug it in and it still worked

Recently, the one I’ve been using for a while has started to rotate between a black screen, the game I’m playing, and rarely, the monitor looking for a signal, and I’ve tried moving the device around, but it still rotated between the game and a black screen. Is there any way to fox this, or has it run its course?

I had the same problem, but once I changed the hdmi cord to a different one, I unplugged all the av cables from the box, turned my Wii on and off before plugging in the av cables one by one from the audio to the video it worked. Sorry this was a lot hope this helps.
Just brought one for my ps2, as I have a Samsung Odesa g7 monitor so let’s hope it works just as fine :)

Hi. You made that look simple. We tried to help parents (and husband and I are old so that’s telling you) we purchased an older replacement VCR/DVD player for them we unhooked everything and plugged in the new one and display say “device not found”. From your video I see that we did not have it plugged into usb for power! Could that be why. Grandpa tried to assist and unhooked it before we got there. What do you think? (I want to also add the cord freeways behind the tv etc was insane. But I didn’t want to go there.)

hey man as you know the PS3 has HDCP protection
So if use an Av cable the use the AVTOHDMI Converter with it will the HDCP Problem go away?
use ps3 ypbpr component cables with a ypbpr component to hdmi converter & set the console to 720p

The issue I have with this one, is that there's interlacing and weird spots that appear whenever I use it, and it kind of hurts to look at.
I have gone from AV to HDMI to DVI and it works perfectly on 720p as my old monitor doesnt support 1080p. One problem is i dont have any audio

So that the sound produced is good, choose the Coaxial - optical converter or Hdmi arc - optical converter?

I bought this 2 days ago for my Phillips smart TV. It plays only sound but video is scrambled. Mind you, I tested it with a smaller TV and I got pictures but not entirely HD mode. Looks like something out of the 90s. What do I do?

Look it up online, the colors are different, but they're still the same ports. Later ports changed the colors.
