Relatively new subscriber to your channel. Thanks for the content. I'm new to Ons and I just got my CF4s last week. I like them so far. I haven't had issues with the laces like you have. I double-knot them, but I do that for all my shoes.
I love the looks of this cloud flow, but the peg is considerably cheaper, and in my opinion looks good also. What I'm debating right now is if I should get a shoe the color I like enough to use after its running live is over or get a shoe on discount with a odd or wild color.
I can’t argue with that at all. It’s a very good point. Price is always a key driver for me and I must acknowledge that I’m in the privileged position of having these shoes gifted. I do agree with you that the peg is cheaper but for me personally, that’s it, any other advantages go the cloud flow 4
Another great, honest shoe review! What a beautiful shoe!! ❤ How has the Surfer 7 held up over time? There were a few reviewers thinking the new wave design might collapse over time?
Do you know if it competes with fast shoes like the Adidas Adizero Adios 8, or is it more inclined to compete with a Nike Pegasus / Adizero SL ? Thanks.
Lots of great videos lately, Aubrey. Keep it up. I owned the Cloudflow 1 and am currently enjoying the Cloudflow 3. I like the light weight, stability, and versatility. Cloudflows are nimble and fast. Quite back-to-basic. As a light-weight runner, I do not benefit much from lots of cushioning, which is something other shoes offer much more of. Downsides for many On Running shoes have been the high prices (and lack of discounts) and the outsoles that pick up pebbles. Based on your review, it seems I need to pick up v4 if I don't want to expand my rocks collection.
Unless of of course you plan to venture into archeology. If not, then I’d say definitely get the v4. For me personally, it’s so much better than the v3. Thank you so much for the kind words too!
I used a pair of CloudFlow in 2020. I am not sure what version it was as On at the time did not version their shoes on their site at the time. Probably v1 or v2. It was a very nice-looking shoe, but durability was terrible. Normally when I retire the shoes the upper is in great shape. My pair was badly beaten up. The upper on my pair of CloudFlow tore, the rubber on the heel wore off down to the cloud foam. I have to admit a didn't have a big rotation of shoes back then (so I used the pair frequently) and my mechanics were worse than but compared to other shoes in that era it was one of the lest durable for me. I hope On has improved the durability of their materials. Oh, I agree with you on Grip. I was dancing in the slightest wetness on the road. Picking up pebbles was a routine occurance as well so it was only suitable just for clean dry road surfaces or great at the gym use.
I can’t argue too much with you. This is what I found in earlier models of ON shoes. I particularly hated the stone collection but they seem to have heard us about things. On shoes now are starting to really perform like running shoes and not just shoes for the catwalk 😂😂😂 Genuinely speaking, and not just as a fan boy, on now make some of my favourite shoes and I have found that they are competing with the likes of Nike/Asics in some of the categories. Thanks for your comment, always great to have balanced views
@@AubreyRunning I am seeing positive developments with CloudSurfer and CloudEclipse. I will wait for 100km/mile reviews in the community however. I might grab one of those models at some point (hopefully with a discount). Currently too many shoes in my rotation but I have been able to increase my weekly mileage to 50 miles so I will be going through shoes at a faster pace than before.
Great to see your subscribers continually growing Aubrey!! Yeah that happens that we gotta change out the laces on shoes, sometimes gotta swap out the insoles too, and yeah these look like real stone grabbers again from ON ... I thought they had moved away from that!! Yep, I do LOVE a nice rocker though, that's for sure!!
@@AubreyRunning CloudMmmmonster!! 😋Yummy!!! Me, I'm into distance/volume so they are right up my alley!! Actually Aubrey, I was celebrating today as I surpassed 5000km for the year on Sunday!! 😃😊☺ So chuffed!!💪🏻🏃🏻♀💪🏻
I think On Running should be going with the same midsole as they have on the Cloudsurfer 7, that is one of the best out there, think these will be too firm for my taste. Now I'm not marathon training any more, I need to actually use the umpteen pairs of shoes that I have!
Heheheheh I hear you, have you had to rent another house to keep the shoes in? I’m with you on the midsole, the cloud GRC phase for mat is amazingly comfortable and they should definitely bring out other shoes with that style.
@@AubreyRunning Cloud 5 waterproof. It has better inner padding, but slightly heavier. Imagine if i didn't choose the waterproof version, it might last only 3-4months. disappointing really. i was expecting more for its price point.
Mate, those Cloudflows looks awful painful. Why am I dreading a speedboard in that thing? OH well. Someone out there will be the right fit for that shoe. I
I gotta say…your lighting and shot really shows the shoes very well!
Thank you so so so much! I truly appreciate this kind of feedback
Wakanda run, good one Aubrey!
😂😂😂😂
I feel it like the best running shoe to buy avaliable today. Thank you for the video.
Glad you like them! You’re welcome

I don’t really know why it happened and certainly hope it was user error but I know it should have happened 6 times 🤷🏾♂️

I honestly have enjoyed mine. They are great shoes and still finding them amazingly comfortable for easy and long runs

I’d say probably the latter. I say probably because I haven’t ran in the other shoes you mentioned

Much improved from previous versions for sure. It’s a really nice shoe apart from the issues I highlighted. What’s your favourite ON shoe?

Is the mid section wide enough for flat feet? is the arch feel prominent?
I have “standard” width feet so I would not be accurately responding. If I was to go one way, I’d say it is more narrow than it is wide.
0:26 Love my Cloudsurfer 7s.
Great shoe for sure
On is in FIRE
They are doing amazing and I’m excited about the next releases from On
🤣wakandaaaaa! ....Thanks for the video

I promise you it’s much better than previous versions in terms of comfort. The version before was what you just described
