    The phrase in English is "to kill two birds with one stone" (I didn't know the Spanish one but in Czech it's "zabít dvě mouchy jednou ranou" = "to kill two flies with one hit") 😄 The differences between languages are funny 🙂

      Haha amazing! So that saying is universal. Just in a different language then. 😂 Thank you for sharing how it is in Czech! Love it! 😄

    I love parabolic softboxes and umbrellas because they are fast to set up, I have a couple of softboxes that I have to assemble every time, so they take some extra time, but they are awesome as well. I also don’t like the rectangular/square ones!

    Right now I’m using the godox system mainly because they are more “affordable”. The first “big light” I got was the LA200D, after that I got my first flash, the AD300 pro. I use both for photography. I’ve just purchased another LA200D, I really like these lights!
    HOWEVER, they are quite bulky compared to these ones from zhiyun you just showed, I really liked the 300 one, it’s more powerful than the ones I have but much smaller. Maybe in the future I can sell the ones I have and invest in the portability zhiyun lights offer.

      Thank you so much Gabriel for sharing your current gear! Godox is great! I was using Godox for a while as well. But now Zhiyun is innovating so much and after getting used to such tiny, compact and light studio lights, I got used to them. 😄 As you said, keep with your current gear if you’re happy with it. And maybe in the future whenever you want to upgrade, you can try these. 🥰

    For my use i like having more focus on strobes, which i have a few of (also one speedlite), but i also have 60W LED i can attach strobe light modifiers to, and also 3x 6w RGB LEDs. I also have color gels to change color of strobes or the 60W LED. I very rarely use the LEDs, but they are good to have just in case i need video, and also they can do some cool stuff if combined with strobes, like freezing with flash, but having light trails with LEDs using longer shutter speed. Also if i do video, i dont do video of large things, so i can keep the LEDs very close, lowering the requirement of power.
    But somoene focusing more on video should definitely invest more on LEDs. Still having both gives most versatility, but whether someone needs the versatility, well they might not and might be ok with only LEDs or only strobes, but only strobes means no video.
    I would argue that parabolic soft boxes are bullshit. They dont differ from octabox of same diameter at all, the depth of it is not effecting anything at all. Actually working parabolic lights are very different from these "parabolic" soft boxes, and soft box saying its parabolic is just a marketing scam and waste of room. For something to actually be parabolic and get some difference from it, you need to take off the fabric softening the light, and also you have to be able to adjust the position of the light inside the light modifier to focus the light properly. There are videos on youtube testing this in depth to prove it.

    Great tips 🤍 For me 90cm softbox with a grid is the sweet spot. However I'd say that minimum light for it should be 100W+ like the tiny Zhiyun Molus X100 you presented or slightly bigger but cheaper Yongnuo YNLUX100 for example. Sometimes I wish I had more power though. 300W really might be the sweet spot for most cases. However that Zhiyun Molus B500 seems like the best bang for the buck on the market currently. It's amazing how tiny and powerful at the same time it is. Maybe after the next project 😉Anyway, have a great day in paradise!

    • @LauraBC
      @LauraBC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Amazing! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! ❤️
      I LOVE the 90cm with the grid. I’m glad you agree. And yes, for a 90cm light modifier the X100 should be the minimum power. I think 300W is more than enough for a lot of work but… as you said, the B500 is the B500! 😄 It’s such a beast in such a compact body. So as everything, everyone needs to decide depending on their budget. The B500 is definitely the king of all. 👑
      Thanks again for sharing. Loads of love from paradise and have an incredible day too! 🥰

    Great video! Thanks for the information. I am slowly gathering lights and equipment due to trying to get started in a saturated market. I'm hoping that next year our economy will get better and people will be able to spend money on photos. PS: The saying in English is "Kill 2 birds with 1 stone."

      Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰 And that’s great! Slowly is the best way to build a nice gear list. I started with one light and I shot with it for years.
      Where do you live? Depending on your city/town, you can still make good money with photography regardless of the economic situation. There is a lot of opportunity now. New businesess, freelancers, the rise of social media… Everyone needs photos. But of course it will be more or less demand depending on your area. 🙏🏼
      And thank you! I translated the Spanish way to say it directly in English. 😂❤️

      @@LauraBC I live in the north eastern corner of Georgia. We have a lot of businesses closing down and people aren't wanting to pay to get head shots, family portraits, wedding/engagement photos, business shots, etc... The zhiyun x100v at least, if not the others, can develop an issue with their battery that causes the battery to burn out anything it is attached to. It burned out a motherboard and 2 chargers of mine before I realized what happened, since that just never happens. Some part of their design allows such a huge backflow of power from their battery it can burn out anything, so be careful with their products! The size is great but they don't know how to build a battery!

    • @LauraBC
      @LauraBC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The battery is to use with their lights. 😅 If you don’t pay attention to the power outage of the battery and the power that the other dispositive can bear, of course you’ll burn it. This is something to take into count with every charger and battery, from any brand.
      I never use the batteries of my Zhiyun lights for other purposes. For what do you use it? Just curious. 🙏🏼
