This is the best explanation of French numbers that I have found anywhere, so far. Concise, logical, engaging, and easy to understand. I can finally understand how the French number system works, and now I can even say "quatre-vingt-dix-neuf" without feeling like a provincial cretin. If only all TH-cam content could be this well-conceived and clearly delivered... Merci beaucoup, monsieur.
just do like the french : learn quatre-vingt as a single word. When we hear it we immediately see 80. At school we even learn it before multiplication.
Thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson. I’m Mexican and I speak English and Spanish. Knowing Spanish makes my understanding of French so much easier. I hipe I can do as well to be able to speak it!!! ♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏
Me after not studying French for the past 2 years because covid took the exams away Why in the freaking world is my French exam tomorrow Thank you very much Your explanation saved the day
C'est très utile! Merci vous! 😄👍 Counting in French is a bit tricky. But if you memorize the "rules," you'll ok. Now pronouncing and hearing them is another story! 🤪
I`m not gonna lie, i`m a South African who speaks Afrikaans and never speaked french before but this sound litterly so easy for me, i even can say this numbers 85%/100% correct. Even the Alphabet is super easy for me i heard it twice and i remember it. I think i can be a fluent French speaker in the next 6-9 months.
@@erikaabrego828 yes there is a little difference like in English When you say the date of the 1st of the month You say "first" in english and It's the same in French you have to say "premier" you can write it like that : 1er
Merci beaucoup pour cette splendide et grand lecon et video sur le theme des nombres en francais pour apprendre et etudier plus belle grammaire et magnifique langue francaise, thanks you very much for this great and very nice for this wonderful lesson about the theme of the numbers in french
Really great but trust me, I think you should try making those writing on the board more clearer , I had to widen my eyes to see through. Zooming in is better. it's pretty great video thanks
I subscribed just because of this video. I have a question though. I was taught that when you put 'et' in 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 and 71, you don't put hyphen (-). And rest of the numbers will take hyphen (-). Is this true? I am quite pedantic, that's why I asked this question.
All I can think of is that he looks like Jim Halpert + Will Byers, I'm sorry- Anyway, super helpful video!! Honestly it's a lifesaver for me ... I already struggle learning numbers in languages in other general due to dyscalculia, but French turns it up to el- er, onze ...

The author of the video does not respond, so if you do not mind me asking, is there a difference on how to say numbers for dates?
@@erikaabrego828 yes there is a little difference like in English
When you say the date of the 1st of the month
You say "first" in english and
It's the same in French you have to say "premier"
you can write it like that : 1er
Ex : nous sommes le PREMIER janvier
