I bought this laptop in BF at 1500$ plus tax
First gaming laptop experience for me. Got it for 1499 at BB and upgraded the memory + storage. So far so good 👍
I just got it for $1200 open box, pretty much brand new. I’m still debating whether I want to keep it though, even though I got it a for a great price. I’ve always been a MacBook user, and will be doing more creative work(video editing) and it seems like my workflow might be better with macOS(industry standard now)

Hi! Quick question, whenever i play hogwarts legacy it keeps crashing while in ultimate mode with turbo fan. But when i switched it to optimus and standard gpu no problem.

My time Spy result on Our Acer Predator Helios 16 with i7-13700hx and Rtx 4070 gets a score of 13,470 using Turbo Mode with the graphics score being about 13,224 and the Cpu Score being about 15,076…..
Our Cinebench Cpu score has gotten between 19,000 to 21,000 on multiple different runs with 20,000 being about the average score
Absolutely love this laptop. I have the exact same model, except mine is one of the first on the shelves and I added in another 16gb of memory. Best OC for it is +235MHz(2535-2550MHz). Anything past that and it's a bit of a toss up.
However, my Cinebench score is considerably lower. Highest score I've gotten is ~13,000 for multi-core. That's in Ultimate mode, 6-P cores, 8-E cores. Something to be concerned about, or did I just mess up my test lol? 🤔
What about the battery life?
Solid! When you switch to the discrete gpu it can last for 3 hours. Could be much worse. @@berayuksel4702

ASUS G18. 4070 version vs 4080 version?
The performance difference between the 2 gpus is massive + the additional vram. 8 gb of vrams is not enough for QHD resolution. (I think the G18 screen is QHD).
Personally, I keep my laptop for a long time so going for a 4070 would be a mistake imo and the difference in performance of the 4080 justifies the price in you can afford it.

Open box deals can be really good, but always inspect them carefully for anything wrong with display, keyboard, speakers, camera, and general damage. But most of the time, no issues I think

@@Asura0089 I did the same thing with the same results. Went from 16GB of ram and added another 16GB for 32GB in total. Definitely worth it.
Excelente video y excelente laptop por menos de $2000 USD! La compre en $1640 USD y la verdad es una gran laptop que corre de todo, con los limites y ventajas de una tarjeta RTX 4070 a 8gb VRAM. Lo malo es que te quedas con un poco de sed de saber que la RTX 4080 a 122gb VRAM pueda darte mas.

La disfruto bastante! Hago ajustes y optimizarlo en Helldivers por ejemplo tengo 80-90 FPS en campo de batalla y 140 FPS en la nave, con 1900x1200 de resolución. Tu que tal vas con la tuya?
I recently purchased same exact product on 11/27/23 ..but anime matrix is not showing on armoury crate..ive message asus about the issue but i got no reply atm..as i watch this video you did not mention anime matrix?..Is m16 4070 do not support anime metrix?

That shitty stuttering on god of war and other games tells everything about asus laptops, i got 4080 version of m16 and the asus rog 18" 13980hx and 4090 both stuttering.
I have the same problems, 4070 and still stuttering and getting framedrops on low settings in game
Something is just wrong with yours. I have no stutter at all and I have the 4070 model. Upgraded ram and ssd, thing runs like a damn champ. I’d advised you to get yours checked out honestly.
