In Park Town MRTS , platform removal may happen after subway entrance is demolished. After demolishing subway, a new RCC slab has to be constructed before laying 4th line over it. It looks like they are constructing an island platform at Fort and Park Town. With single line between Fort and Beach, many trains may be terminated at Fort. Only limited frequency can be operated to Beach and beyond.

Thambi. The work is going dam slow only. MRTS and sub urban trains are sharing same form of train sets only. So they don't need separate lines from park station. SR shall link both the links. So that, there will be extra lines long trains.

Forty years ago till 1981, Chennai Beach was the terminus for Navjeevan Express, Ganga-Kaveri Express and Circar Express. It was closed down and trains shifted to Central due to lack of car parking, auto taxi stand and porters.
