Looking amazing at 70! We really enjoyed this interview and getting to know Dan a bit. We know him best from Frasier which is one of our very favorites to this day.
Harvey, I just finished the interview! I enjoyed learning about Dan Butler. He is a real pro! You did your usual splendid job of being well prepared and asked all the right questions!
This was an awesome interview. Mr Butler is such a versatile actor it was great to hear about his roles and didn't know he was from that particular part of the (Midwest area).
Oh! Thank you so much!! I don’t think there’s anything special enough about me to be amazing, but knowing that you feel that way about me is deeply touched and very much appreciated.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 you have the talent like nobody else to do what you do - being ego relaxed and humble and modest is a character strength that makes you so watchable and likeable :)
Truly you have touched me so deeply. You have no idea how profoundly grateful I am to you for really getting who I am and what I do. THANK YOU SO MUCH from my heart to yours. 🙏❤️
Wow, Dan looks like a million bucks !! What an absolute treat this interview was, absolutely awesome ! Harvey, you have a way Mr. !!!! You bring out the best from all your guests, you have the Midas touch my friend, KUDOS 👏👍 Another banger, very well done 👍 ❤great job ! What a polite gentleman Dan is certainly. This was truly a treat and an extra special way to enjoy a nice hot coffee ☕️ 👌 Thank you boys 🎉
That’s very kind of you. Thank you so much. Although Dan was pleasant and forthcoming in answering my questions, I didn’t feel that I established any kind of emotional connection with Dan in the same way that I did with so many other guests, so your positive feedback is very much appreciated.
Yes, i can see exactly what you mean, he was a bit tighter than some of your past guests. Very nice guy but definitely a little tighter if that’s the word ? Nevertheless you still knocked it out 👍
Dan is such a versatile actor. I recognize so many of the shows, movies and plays you mentioned in opening. He has represented the gay community wonderfully in his performances. Loved him as Bulldog!
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Thank *you* for this wonderful interview, Harvey. And for your recommendation of "Prayers For Bobby" which is now on my must see film's list.
Butler could give lessons on how a person can decide they are not going to say anything negative, then execute this in a natural way with finesse. Only once does he get close (additional filming), but catches himself. Sometimes people do this and it is so obvious that cumulatively the talk gets tinny and fake-sounding. Not Dan, who knows just how to pull this off.
Another wonderful interview Harvey. Dan Butler was a great guest and, of course, your questions brought out the best in him. Well done, again.
Thanks so much Jeff.

I think character actors are more interesting to me ! More talented🎉
I’m sure every character actor would agree with you
This show really touched me - gosh - I THINK YOU ARE AMAZING HARVEY

@famasmaster2000 thank you for understanding what I was trying to say.
I've had a crush on Dan for decades. Still do.
Glad I helped you pursue your crush by giving you more of him to watch

And a memorable role (w Garry Marshall) in Chronic Town, a great indie filmed in Fairbanks Alaska. Wish it was widely available.
I’d love to see it
Bulldog. A great comic characterization. Also one of the very best villains on "Monk".
He sure was! Thanks so much for watching

@hiramnoone oh I just know you will enjoy Prayers for Bobby. Sigourney Weaver’s performance is truly spectacular

Yes he’s a real pro. Not warm and fuzzy like I’m used to from most of my guests, but definitely a real pro
gay
Yes. So am I.
