How to hunt Brackens with a shovel (lethal company)

I only hit the head once in this video, making the Bracken take 5 hits instead of 3.
Brackens usually can't sneakkill you if youre walking away from them, and will generally only aggro if youre staring at them from too close, or if they're trapped and youre near them at all.
When spooked, a bracken will usually run away for like ~30 seconds before targetting you again.
Brackens won't sneak attack you if they're in your peripheral vision, nor will they run away. They'll kind of just freeze or try to move just out of sight. They can kill you if they're anywhere in the 180 degrees of your back side.
If you want to attack the bracken by trapping it in your periphery, make sure to scare it BEFORE hitting it, otherwise he'll immediately rush you with no time to run away.
You can fight them in other large areas, like a 4 way intersection hallway. But its definitely trickier, and has the risk of them surprising you from behind.
If theres a stairwell near the entrance room, the bracken will usually take longer to come out of hiding, so you'll have to stare at the wall for a bit longer.
If you want to make sure the bracken doesn't chase someone else, you can chase the bracken for a while, wait in a straight hallway until with your back on the wall until you think the brackens waiting for you to face away, then WALK (or run?) to an arena, then turn around when you think he's about to get you.
since theyre more easily agitated in multiplayer, you could also chase a bracken down until you find a suitable arena, aggro it by staring, then fight it. just dont underestimate its speed. i did that a few times
