The fact that Kristen reacted to the Flerken the same exact way Kamala did in The Marvels when she first saw a flerken was HYSTERICAL.
Just an overall AHH OH MY GOD!
Next, Avengers Endgame. That movie is going to blow your mind Kristen 🤯🤯🤯🤯.
Literally said the same thing
Where is you reaction to End game? please
Half of her brain will be snapped away.
I would like to see her reactions on Loki series
cause this movie was one of the newer movies ive never seen it? i question where it fits it all the marvel movies sen all up to civil war and infinity war black pantasther , most? all spiderman toms , watching mow endgame do i have to se it ?
Funniest thing is so many people (reactors and reg viewers alike) watched Guardians before this…saw That man talking to Ronan and still didn’t realize they were the bad guys 😂
27:55 - Kristen has come a long way from not understanding the MCU, to spotting Stan Lee and being able to predict correctly the characters and getting it right. Well done.
Next we foray into the Askewniverse!
But she still thinks Aliens wear makeup!
where does this one come into the other marvel movies its confussing cause a few are new
"I'm picking you up now, I'm trusting you NOT to eat me."
That'd be me in that situation.
13:44 I know someone is going to comment that it was an improvised moment that Samuel L. Jackson did but can we appreciate Ben Mendelsohn's ability to adapt in the moment and add a comedic flair to it.
Korath and Ronan were both in the 1st Guardian movie, Korath met Quill in the opening act at the temple with the power stone, Ronan was the “big bad”. Drax ended Korath by pulling out his cybernetics on his head saying “ finger to the throat means death”. lol
Metaphor.
Yeah, not sure why she thinks Korath is a good guy other than the fact that she finds him attractive...
I remember watching the movie for the first time and immediately thinking, “Wait a minute, the Kree were never the good guys, why should I root for them now? Either there's something off with the plot or they're going to do a 180." But apparently 95% of the audience didn't get it, and I realize most of the reactors don't get it either. They see these movies in a short time, without waiting years, and don't remember the plot from a few movies before. It's sad sometimes.
@@doc0815martens I think Marvel were hoping we'd treat them as a planetary race like ours with divided ideals and cultures etc. instead of one united by the rule of the Supreme Intelligence. We even see in Mar-Vell that they can have different viewpoints and morals. Ronin in Guardians was a renegade Kree operating against the treaties that were in place after the Kree-Nova wars so we shouldn't have viewed him as representing his entire people. And for comic book readers, the Skrull are indeed typically villains too.
how is this movie connected to others when was it suposed to be in order of all movies
"I want her powers" - I concur. One of the reasons why she has always been one of my favourite characters. She is also an introvert, love flying in Space, and opposite most heroes she also love her powers.
This is a great superhero movie. Not the best, but so much fun.
Also Coulson is a main in Agents of Shield - the best TV show Marvel has ever done.
If you want more Agent Coulson, then you should checkout the TV show "Agents of Shield"
YES!!
"Agents" was a great show, but they got lost in the last season. And who DOESN'T love Agent Phil, Son of Coul.
@@Scott-hc8om the last season is one of my favorites so I disagree. Season 1 was the most boring and disinteresting to me
Agents of Shield is probably my favorite Marvel TV show.
Yes, Tahiti is a magical place.
She is one of the most powerful beings in the entire marvel universe.
The problem with the way she acted was because of her character. The character wasn't supposed to show emotion. So she played the character written for her. You should see her in Kong Skull Island. Totally different person.
Let's hope so.
I can't upvote this enough. She's supposed to be a fighter jock who would be at home in Top Gun, turned commando explicitly trained to suppress her emotions. People criticizing Larson for not being more emotional are criticizing her for how the character was written. I thought the smug reserve she played the part with was perfect.
Thats such an obviously wrong choice that I cant believe it. How incompetent the writere would have to be.
@Alfonso88279 blame stan Lee. That's how she is in the comic. Not that I'm disagreeing with you. I didn't think that the character should've been that way either.
What I've been telling people
If you want to see more of Coulson, you can watch Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D where he is the director of a special ops team. The series is really good and definitely worth the watch!
Endgame in a WEEK!!!!!!!!!! I’m super excited for our next date night Kristen!
The second act of this film turns into a Larson-Jackson buddy cop movie, which is something I could watch all day.
I definitely wish she was introduced earlier. She would’ve been a great addition to the team .
I'm amazed at the amount of people that don't watch the movie to the end of the credits and get the extra footage that's usually there in this type of movie. At the end of this one, we see the cat jump up on to Fury's desk and throw up the Tesseract, leaving you wondering what's going to happen next.
I like Fury's reaction to being scanned: That thing's clearly busted!
"You should see what i can do with a paperclip" mcGuuver reference! Who played also Colonel O'Neill in stargate SG-1 in that same base (cheyenne mountain base)
Kristen is a whole vibe "I'm going to give myself a hug. I should do that more often"😂😂
10:38 lol the fact that the Blockbuster video and Radio Shack weren't enough hints that this is back in the 90s, I😂 now i feel old
Kristen, given that you enjoy Agent Coulson, you should check out Agents of Shield. I don't want to spoil anything but despite Disney's reluctance to count the show as cannon it has a lot of tie ins to the first few phases of the MCU and the story and characters are awesome!
It’s ok, you don’t have to love this as the best MCU film ever, it’s just supposed to be an entertaining 2 hours.
You'll love her in Endgame.
Kristen should definitely watch “Agents of Shield” by herself too.
12:10 Yep Stan Lee is reading his lines from the movie "Mallrats" that he also has a cameo in. "Mallrats" came out October 1995 which makes his cameo chronologically accurate, as THIS movie takes place in 1995.
Disinfected niece🤣🤣🤣 NAILED IT
It's one of the MCU films I like the least, but it gets more hate than it should. There are some solid moments, particularly with Fury.
I believe that the script and direction could've both been improved very much. I feel that Carol falls into the same category as Superman; a super powerful being that is hard to write for. I think that my biggest issue is that I feel there wasn't a proper "Hero's Journey". Carol began the film as super strong and ended the film even stronger. No one really stood a realistic chance against her. I think that the memory loss angle would've worked better if she either couldn't access her powers at all, or it was very, very limited, to the point that the villains actually stood a chance. To me, Carol is pretty much the same character mentally from start to finish, with the only significant change being that she's more OP physically than she already was. Her memory loss, to me, didn't really hinder her much.
Also, I feel that Bree was miscast. I think that she's a great actress (absolutely LOVED her in 'The Room'). But I feel that her performance, paired with the writing/direction in this film, didn't really do her character any favors.
I think that it takes really talented writers/directors to write characters like this. Unfortunately, I feel that this film didn't have the best fits. I think that The Marvels did a much better job with Carol overall, and look forward to seeing your reaction to it when you get to that point.
Mohawk's my favorite feature of her look. 😄
A very well done origin story for Captain Marvel. The film did it's job wonderfully to introduce her at the very last second of The Infinity Saga.
Definitely did not do a wonderful job.
"Of all the powers, I'll take hers"
"That's an interesting idea" - Anna Marie
Nick Furry broke me.
the script he's reading is for Mallrats. He had a cameo in it
No, he has Cameos in Marvel shows.... where he is a background fluff thing that nerds SQUEEEE about.
In Mallrats he's an important character, who drives the plot forward by motivating Brody.
@@lokithecat7225 my bad. i saw it a very long time ago and forgot how big of a part he had.
Which makes that the ViewAskewniverse is technically part of the MCU
I've read both the movke and Garbage song came out mknths after movie is set 😅
Love Captain Marvel, she’s my favorite, she introduced me to the Avengers comics in the 90’s and Brie is FANTASTIC! She helped the Avengers in a endgame and had such a great development in The Marvels. CANT ait to see her in Doomsday and Secret wars agaaaain! ❤
It’s hard to be fun or relaxed (like the memories in the bar) when you don’t know who you are. That takes time.
Thanks for another date night.
✌️😉💕
had me losing it at nick furry
Great work by the editor, there... Loved the sound effect :p
Agents of Shield is definitely worth the journey! Also, remember when Fury said the last time he trusted someone he lost an eye? lol ALSO Nick Furry xD
Yall gotta create some playlists 2000+ videos in reaction is wild.
I've been saying the same thing. It's very challenging to find things I've missed, particularly when I have to scroll back weeks or months.
ok with the Mo-hawk already we get it! Love the reaction and ending statements though!
If you want more Coulson, watch Agents of Shield. He's a MC on that.
For this movie, I'll use a joke from THE BOYS...
"GIRLS GET IT DONE!!!"
I can't wait for you to react to the Marvels movie.🤞😁🤞
Carol is so powerful because she got two doses of Tesseract energy. The first was when the lightspeed engine exploded. The second was directly from the Tesseract when she got out of the restraints on the spaceship. The only other character on her level is Wanda/Scarlet Witch, who got her powers from the Mind Stone.
Agent's of Shield picks up directly after the first Avengers film, and follows a team that deals with less apocalyptic threats. It is tied to the films for the first couple of seasons, then veers off onto its own timeline. The first season deals with how Coulson is alive after the Battle of New York. Without spoilers, keep in mind the helicarrier had a really good medical team aboard, and it was close to New York City and all its medical facilities. Coulson did die, in the sense his heart stopped after getting stabbed by Loki. So technically Fury wasn't lying to the Avengers team. But what happens after isn't covered in the film. For that matter, Fury "died" in the Winter Soldier not long afterwards.
This movie is great. It absolutely gets way too much hate
100% agree. This was such a great movie.
My family really enjoys it too. There's a lot of clunky dialogue, but it's pretty good overall
It took me a couple of watches to really appreciate this movie.
Now, I enjoy the humour of the movie immensely!
"Nick Furry" - yeah, that's a totally different movie :)
Nice. This is a great movie. Lots of the newbie MCU fans ripped on this one, but us old school comic book nerds knew that this was a great entry. Having Thanos as the big baddie in a story arc required a character with some serious power. So here we are. Easily top 5 MCU for me.
And they ripped on it for all the wrong reasons. They took a quote from a Larson interview and twisted it, using it out of context, trying to make her come off as some man hater. It was ridiculous.
Gotta disagree with both you guys old school comic book fans ripped on this Heavily. Hell if your an old school fan you remember when Captain Marvel was a man both in Marvel and D.C.
REAL old school comic book nerds avoid this kind of crap like the plague.
@@rubenarmstrong262 isn’t it amazing that things can change…and evolve…if everything stayed the same then life would suck and be boring as shit
@@porflepopnecker4376 some of them might do, some of them might not. Either way, who cares? Enjoy what you enjoy and ignore what you don’t
Mohawk is only one of her looks. Steve Rogers is U.S. Army, Carol Danvers is U.S. Air Force (same rank but she probably earned it rather then Steve getting "field promotion"). Didn't show the post credit scene with Goose, hope you watched it.
She actually outranks him
@@AscendedXSaiyan Army and Air Force use the same officer rank names, so a captain is the same in either one. Navy on the other hand, is different. A captain in the navy would outrank both of them.
If you miss Coulson, then you should watch Agents of Shield. By this point in the timeline, you're 5 seasons behind.
Sad Fact: This was Stan Lee's last filmed cameo.
Phil Coulson = *"Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D"* television series, if You want to see more of him.😊 (plus in *"The Ultimate Spiderman"* animated series.)
And the little girl that is Maria Rambeaus daughter Monica... is in *"WandaVision."*
I enjoyed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It is a bit of a spoiler to tell her that Monica is in WandaVision, though, isn't it? It's not like they read the comments anyways lol
If you miss Colsun, you need to watch "AGENTS OF SHIELD"
"...I hope we get the cat back..."
Oh, if you only knew...🤣
Fun fact: A chircopractor from Wisconsin named Steve Ruppel watched Captain Marvel in theatres for 117 times, which ended up in the Guinness World of Records
Well that beats my 4 times. Hopefully I can get 2nd place.
Anyway...
@@darkjoker4ever286 anyways what?
@@shattaredentertainment4782 I don't think Darkjoker enjoys fun facts 🤣
@@grimacefrowns then he could've just moved on. It's not like he was part of the conversation anyways. 🤷♂️
* Now Marvel has 2 Sherlock actors, 2 Watson actors and 2 Hannibal actors 😁
* PEGASUS project was where Tessersct was at the start lf Avengers when Loki came
* Fury looking beneath the sheets was improvised by Samuel L. Jackson
* Brie Larson is allergic to cats, so her scenes involving Goose were filmed with a puppet or computer-generated VFX.
* When Larson showed up on set to film the post credits scene, she got a redacted script page with everything blacked out except for her own line. There were no actors present. The crew couldn't even tell her to whom she was speaking. The other actors filmed it separately. Brie Larson was digitally inserted into the scene afterwards.
* DC's Shazam was originally known as Captain Marvel 😆
* Originally they intended to have Jim Carrey's "Mask" stand, but they couldn't get clearance from Warner Bros., so they went with Arnie's "True Lies"
* Events take place in June 1995, but we hear Garbage's "Only Happy when It Rains" that was released 3 months later 😅
* Stan Lee was reading "Mallrats" script where he cameod and which came out 4 months after movie's events set time 😄
Kristen, taking one for the team. 😂
One of the coolest things about Carol Danvers getting her powers in this movie, she got them by an action of own agency.
Oddly, the DC character Supergirl's human identity is Kara Danvers. Whichever was created second, couldn't you find a more unique name?
You’re reaction is exactly what everyone else felt. It was a diversion from the original path
Stan Lee was reading a script for Mallrats since he had a short cameo appearance in the movie and it was being made at that time.
The thing is that Captain Marvel doesn’t return to earth until Endgame, so Furry didn’t get a chance to introduce her around.
By the way Kristen thr little girl is Monica the second Captain Marvel in the comics. Carol was the 3rd person take the name.
The chemistry between Carol and Fury was always good, IMO, and helps carry the weaker parts of the movie. Has its issues, but overall, a decent film.
Love this character and Brie Larson's interpretation of it. This movie was a good intro to her and it's one of the rewatchable comfort mcu movies for me. I respect your opinions at the end, totally understandable. Thanks for the reaction anyway 😊
I love this movie though many seem to hate it, I actually really enjoy Bri Larson
Me too! People say she plays Carol very wooden and robotic but that is exactly how I would expect someone with only 6 years worth of memories who has known nothing but strict military socialising. I love this movie

Disinfected Niece! sounds like a franchise!
Kristen would like What if "Thor was an only child" ( season 1 ).
Captain Marvel has an epic fight with Thor there.
Feel like Kristen missed a lot of connections but still a great movie
I mean, if you want more of Coulson, there's seven seasons of Agents of Shield...
Stan was reading the script to Mallrats. The First(?) Stan appearance.
10:38 so it took seeing young Fury and Coulson to realize this was the past? The Blockbuster Video, filled with 90s VHS tapes, a RadioShack, and a payphone, weren't dead giveaways?
Just watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
You do know that Agent Coulson is just on holiday in Tahiti, right?
It's a magical place
@@Robin216 ❤
29:31 But you DO have a superpower! You are able to melt the hearts of everyone who watches your reactions.
And as for how Carol was portrayed in this movie, keep in mind that she was trained for six years not to express her emotions. If that was the goal, I think she pulled it off fairly well.
En serie de Agents of Shield tienes más del Agente Coulson 😁
31 minutes in - this is how I felt also. They should've told the story in linear order (like Captain America: First Avenger) and found a different way to "reveal" the true nature of the Kree/Skrull conflict.
Loved the reaction. Kristen has finally made it to Avengers: Endgame. This is the movie that beat James Cameron's Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time in cinema and Marvel history when it was first released in theaters. Avengers: Endgame will definitely blow Kristen's mind.
Please don't let me wait.....Watch Avengers Endgame quickly. Eagerly waitingggggg.......
You ought to watch "Agents og SHIELD" - it starts after Iron Man 3, deals with that movie's Extremis virus and shows how Coulson's death in Avengers had a big impact on SHIELD❤
I hope you watch WandaVision Loki etc too! Love seeing you experience this universe and hear your theories.
What order should I watch them?
Vs order Kristen did? I’ve seen most only? Threee or so left
Stan Lee... was he reading a script? Yes, yes he was. It was the Kevin Smith movie "Mallrats". He had a great cameo in it.
I did have one major problem with this movie. By the end, Carol gave Nick Fury a pager to call her just in case of an emergency. Which is why he knew to call Carol at the end of Infinity War. But somehow aliens attacking New York in 2012 and evil robots attacking Sokovia in 2015 weren’t emergencies at all. C’mon, Fury! You literally went through two emergencies and one of them involved aliens, and you literally had Captain Marvel’s contacts in the palm of your hands!
Three Emergencies... You forgot the Dark Elves
He most likely tried to contact her, without progress.
Those conflicts probably ended by the time she could’ve gotten there. I think it was probably a couple weeks till she showed up after “the snap”.
The others, while dire, seemed possible to deal with on their own. The snap was pure chaos that did warrant the call, especially since the Avengers were confirmed to be split by the time it happened.
ya, you have to remember that the Avengers themselves were split and not exactly getting along. It was their lowest point.
Like Kristin's reaction and journey into the MCU, so looking forward to her reaction to End Game. Keep it up Cinepals
The supreme intelligence reminds me of the boov computer in Home (2015) how they are in like a digital setting but in the real world they are connected and kind of pulsing. If you havent seen it, its a fun watch
The screenplay Stan is reading was Kevin Smith's second film Mallrats(1995).
Hmm if she misses Coulson. Would she end up watching Agents of SHIELD?!
Maybe start that as a break of sorts after End Game, to avoid burnout?
"We're in the endgame now. "
12:03 Yup, he's rehearsing for one of my movies (not really me, the really real Silent Bob). You should definitely check out the View Askewniverse once you catch up on the MCU. 👍
You should watch Room for a great showing of Brie Larson’s acting abilities. Oscar winning.
Hell yeah captain marvel let’s goooo!
Heads up whoever edits this or reads comments: She should watch Agents of Shield. She’d like
It a lot.
Flerkin... Not clerkin
Stan Lee is reading a script for Kevin Smith's Mallrats which is a movie Stan Lee was in as himself.
Unless I'm wrong, Ronan never attempted to come back for "the weapon," aka Carol. Gotta hate when lines are put in that are never expanded upon or held up.
At the time, they were loosely planning an interim movie that would take place before Guardians of the Galaxy. It fell through and left that unresolved moment in this movie. I agree with you that it never should have been put in there since they never followed up on it.
At the end of the film, Carol tells Yon-Rogg she's coming back to end it, presumably Kree attacks on other planets. In Guardians 1 we found out the Kree had signed a treaty with the Nova Corps. You can infer they did so because Carol beat them up and forced them to come to terms. Ronan, though, is a fanatic, and refuses to stop "curing" other planets. So he's been doing that and never got back to Earth, and Carol wasn't on Earth anyway. She's been out helping the Skrulls find a home and other interstellar problems.
44:09 Haven't seen a lot of people notice it (maybe it was obvious) but he was in GOTG. His team of Kree soldiers ambushed Peter on Morag at the beginning when he was stealing the Orb
Let's get sum Xmas movies going on here. And yes Die Hard and Lethal Weapon are Christmas movies! The Last Kiss Goodnight is a good one.
Kristen, To answer your question as to why Fury didn't mention or tell anyone about Capt Marvel, Nick Fury is the spy of all spies... Even his secrets have secrets ..
Nick "Furry" is a spy, so he wouldn't tell anyone about his backup plans. Avengers 1 mentioned how he keeps secrets.
We always know who the villain is, they have a British accent. 😂
scene with Fury look under the cover of the dead skrull was improvised by Jackson
I'm also going to echo Kristin watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since she likes Coulson so much. I mean, that's that reason I started watching it and was not disappointed.
If u like colson u would probably like the tv show agents of shield. The first few seasons they are some what connected to the mcu movies but the last few seasons they are on a different time line.
