    Mate, been a month now. Glad to know you can convert the pre to facelift. Was going to do the reverse for myself. Go from facelift to prefacelft

      I know mate, so sorry it has taken me so long to upload a new video, the next video will be up this evening. I have been editing all weekend. Was a lot of footage to go through and gone back to work. Will try my best to upload more often in future 👍

    Hi mate! Do you know if the m3 rear bumper will fit to my 2001 330ci convertible?

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes the M3 rear bumper will fit your 330ci convertible but if it is a genuine M3 rear bumper the arches won't line up as the M3 is wider on the rear arches. You can modify the arches or put an over fender kit on it but then you need to cut out the original arches and it is a lot of work. Easiest option is to find an after market M3 rear bumper that has been made to fit the non M3 body. Hope this helps 👍

    I was having an anxiety attack watching that M3 bumper face down on gravel 😆

      Lol the bumper isn't in the best condition but will be sanded and wrapped when I wrap the car but I know what you mean. Maybe I will get some rubber matting 👌

    Was there a way to get the m3 bumper fit tighter so it doesn’t hang?

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sorry for the late reply, yes because it is a genuine M3 bumper it fits on just the same as the original bumper does. Not sure what you mean by tighter and hanging as the bumper isn't hanging it is fixed to the car the same way the original bumper does by the bracket on the sides near the arches and across the top and bottom. If you mean tighter as in because the arch from the bumper doesn't line up with cars original arches then you would need to add M3 arches or try and find an M3 bumper that is made for the non M3 car. It didn't matter to me in this video as my next videos show me fitting a wide body kit and that is all cut away and new arch goes over the top. I hope this helps? 😁👍

    Nice. But can I offer some advice, either no music or a microphone.
    Keep it up. Compound charged M54?

      Hi Maverick Buckley, thank you for your comment. I will turn the music down more on my next video or have no music when I am talking I think.
      All depdends on the budget as we are going into another lockdown but I do have plans to Turbo charge it as I have been speaking to a supplier in Germany who thinks it can be boosted to 450bhp 😁👍

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cian, I hope you are well today? Sorry for the late reply. I used the original bracket that is behind the bumper where it meets the wheel arch.

    How did you screw the existing bolts into the new lid?

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Heppy, I hope you are well today? Do you mean the existing bolts where the hinges attache to the CSL lid? The fibreglass Lid has already got metal threads installed when it was made so you have just bolt it in like the original lid. 👍

    Is that a genuine m3 rear bunper

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Harry, yes it is a genuine M3 rear bumper as I could not find a replica for the narrow body E46 that is sold seperate. Fits great but it will flare out more at the arches. That doesn't have an impact on my build as I am putting a wide arch kit on it but if your not then it won't meet up with your standard arches. I hope this helps 👍

      @@MintMotorGarage thank you, I was thinking about getting a fibreglass one because its lighter but ive heard their can be some problems with that sometimes.

    • @MintMotorGarage
      @MintMotorGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@harrywilton855 Hi Harry, you shouldn't get any problems with the fibreglass bonnet as long as it has been made well. The CSL boot lid on my E46 is fibreglass and I have purchased a fibreglass hardtop for my Z3. The OEM bonnets are pretty light anyway but if you want to get the M3 style fibreglass bonnet you shouldn't get any problems as long as you don't slam the bonnet down lol. Just push it down on the latch and it will be fine 🙂 👌
