Hi. This was a wonderful and very interesting video to watch today. However I was totally lost in my understanding on how you were able to accomplish making these orchestral sounds with the chord pads. I would truly love it if you could or would direct me to a few of your other videos that would teach me or educate me on how to produce some of these techniques at a beginners level of making orchestral sounds like what you have demonstrated in this video. It almost looked like magic to me. The instrumentation sounded so beautiful to me. It made me want to get deeper into Cubase. However I don’t even know where to start to learn how to produce the sounds like what have demonstrated today. Please recommend some beginner examples of videos that will help me to get on the level of understanding of production of orchestration by using the chord pads in Cubase 13. Looked at this video again today and have to ask you this..... at 3:28 you show various instruments in channels 1-16 of Kontakt and more in 17-32 and more in 33-48. How are you able to play instruments on these other channels beyond 1 thru 16? I've never been able to figure out how to do that.
Hagai, this is something I never even knew was possible. I was always a huge fan of Theremin and admired the capabilities of that invention. Seeing you run the chord pads in this manner was very enlightening...I will say, I’m on a new mission to get involved with this.🤝
Additionally, I’m thinking you may need to add a ‘ how to set this all up’ video...I’m getting a bit older you know and my focus drops off after a few hours 😄

I've actually amazed myself by getting this working, only on my keyboard but just have to change the assign knobs to the motion sensor when it comes. Thank you so much for showing this.

Keeps turning off though when I shut down pc and when I start up I have to reinstall drivers, seems a bit of hassle and looks like major issues with pc Windows.

Is there a way, after individual notes are assigned to separate channels like you did, those notes can be transferred to a different MIDI Track eventually? Like dissolving into individual Lanes!
Very cool - I tried this with the Halion Sonic in Cubase and was not able to get the notes to play on the different midi channels. I setup the Halion Sonic, like you did in with Kontakt, using different instrument patches on different midi channels to line up with the notes produced with chord pads.... and I could not get it to work. It would not play on the different midi channels... all the notes went to MIDI channel 1. Is this something only Kontakt does? I would love to be able to do this with the Halion Sonic or the Halion sampler. Maybe there is a setting I'm missing?
I just discovered chord pads a few months ago. They’re brilliant. I especially like the legato feature. Never tried using CC to change tensions and inversions (only dedicated keys). I’ll have to try that. Thanks for the tip!
Reminds me of the D-beam on the Roland Gaia. That's the simple version. (just changing filter or effects or pitch) Your device is thát but on steroids :-) . really really cool !!
Wow! As I am not the best piano player in the world, I've been looking for something like this to help me compose. Haven't been very impressed by a lot of the chord programs out there but Steinberg's Chord Pad is phenomenal. Didn't know it existed until just a week ago and seeing your videos really help me understand how it can be used. Thanks! By the way... What I wanted to ask is, can you do a quick vid on how to do inversion in Chord Pads and maybe share you presets for Chord Pads and Geco in the demo? I searched and found nothing on YT. Your'e most welcome! The Cubase Chord Pads feature requires live performance to start with, but you can always edit it later on. Check out Cubase Chord Track to see if it suits you better.

Superb! I did some similar experiments of virtual conducting with translating Xbox controller into midi but you get much farther. Take my respect, plz. Eager to experiment with my Chord pad right away. 👍
Nice vid, question what is your operation system? On my system kontakt ask some CPU but when you load 5 albion sounds its only on 4 or 5 % I have Windows 10 64 bit and 32 memory
My computer specs are pretty decent, but this technique is not necessarily a resource hog. It all depends on the instruments you use. The motion controller is "Leap Motion " and the drum pad is Steinberg CMC PD.
hello i want to do auto divisi on track that i played in but it is not working. i have channel set to any and still nothing happens when i select channel in piano roll editor. it does work if i trigger something in with chord track but that is not what im looking to do. am i missing something?

I was wondering if you could tell me how you get your leap motion to work with GECO. I recently bought a LM myself, but when trying to run geco an error pops up saying an application is requesting legacy APIs that are no longer available in this version of the leap motion software. Did you ever run into this problem yourself, or are you using an older version of the software? Regards Alexander

I notice you seem to have access to all the degrees of all tonalities in multiple formats (tensions, etc.). That’s a lot of chords. I presume you programmed all those chords into the grid yourself, one by one.... Is there a limited number of slots? Is there a mechanism to do this using the chord assistant? I’m absolutely thrilled by the potential of this amazing feature!
Okay, sorry for asking the obvious. I realise now that the complexity and voicing parameters are integrated functions within each pad, and that chords can easily be added from the Chord Assistant.

They are just there for comfort purposes. I don't really use ports B,C and D... :)

I had that, downloaded leap motion sdk windows 2.2.7 worked for me you need a older version I'm guessing
