As a Makomo main, this patch has been pretty amazing. She now has some almost auto-timed true 50/50 mixups (different attacks line up on the same few frames in identical setups) with Sabito and switch tech. Not to mention her routes getting a bit better damage, and confirming from stray hits is a lot more lenient Her Water Wheel change is so much bigger than I think a lot will realize for a while. Makomo is historically underexplored in this game, but hopefully that will change soon
If you are early in the combo, airdodging into aircombo after your poison will get you slightly better scaling. Shinobu can also aircombo loop for free so it's practical to save meter after poison that way.
@@brucky556 Sure! After hitting with her poison guard special, you'll hold a direction and dodge and then attack twice before touching the ground. With good timing, you can dash again and keep the combo going in the air since her air attacks bounce high. If it's too hard, just dash after poison guard special as normal.
Have you tried shinobu and ED Tanjiro, the team has really good synergy and you can loop heavy into tilt skill with tilt assist for massive damage. ED tanjiros assist is severely underrated as its fast and gives a crumple
Since I play on the switch, I have only faced one player and they used Shinobu, she does seem better but they still fell for Gyutaro's lingering projectile
Shinobu feels like a much better character with just this change, the only other change I would want for her would be having poison on all her specials and ultimate like Gyutaro
Giyu has become a little annoying, I like his buffs but the deadcalm needs either a longer recovery period or a slower start up its a little to free especially with laggy matches
Ngl Shinobu has never been my cup of tea thou she looks really interesting especially with the buff personally I have been practicing with the makumo rework and wondering what your thoughts on her are.
In terms of Shinobu, I've found that Yushiro is actually a surpsingly good hard counter. Many Shinobu players instinctively use her dash skill "Swift Strike." Which makes sense, it's really good, but it's also REALLY easy to counter with Yushiro's Guard Skill. They also fuck up emmu so badly smh I can’t even play the way I want to they slow him down like bruh why do that the a character that hass no weapons and was already slow smh
