I personally love the Gx but sadly, it isn't available in Indonesia. Once I got the money and the opportunity, I'll not double think about what I want to buy. Great review overall!!
Absolutely right about the ease of driving. Last year I could drive 3-4hrs in my FJ Cruiser before I was tired. The day I took delivery of my 200VX I drove 10hrs straight with wife & kids to central Qld with no issues. With the VX cameras etc it's easier to park than the FJ too. The engine doesn't need tuning...just turn off eco and go.
If you are worried about emissions from a twin turbo V8 Landcruiser, you really are missing the point. I managed to order one of the last 200 series V8 diesel GXLs in Australia, so I might be biased...
@@kortlandlfskdjflaskjdf7979 OK. In 2015 the LC200 was retuned and a diesel particulate filter was added to comply with EURO5. So if you get one from then on you'll be OK. Remember Australia is right hand drive so that might cause some importation problems, perhaps? The current revision uses ADBLUE as well, not sure if that was true back in 2015 with the introduction of the DPF. New LC200s are soon to be dropped with the LC300 coming later this year, maybe with a v6 TD. Most dealers in my state have no stock of new LC200. Second hand LC200 with the V8 diesel hold their value amazingly, and that price will go up with the end of production.
Great review thanks, of course I am more than a little biased as I am on my second 200 series Sahara. It is as you say just one of the most relaxed drives in any terrain; and it never ceases to amaze me how you can be driving 100km/hr and cross from an sealed surface (such as it is in Australia) to dirt (graded) and it actually feels smoother. It's been totally trouble free motoring, if not cheap to buy, but then the resale values of these 4WDs defies gravity which helps you get in to a new one on a regular basis in spite of the fact it would last for 25 years. If you want to talk about articulation, have a look at this test on a stock standard with KDSS: th-cam.com/video/hBQgYBpGCtg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much! Definitely not uncommon to hear of people being on their second (or even third) 200 Series, they're just that perfect for Australia. Definitely expensive, as you say, but through plenty of browsing on CarSales since driving this thing, the resale values are unbelievable. Ah yes I have seen that video, definitely a great way of showing just how impressive its articulation is, particularly with KDSS which the GX tested in this vid obviously didn't have
omg brutal honesty: "if you want a MUCH UGLIER Land Cruiser... Lexus!" 🤣😂
Lol
in my country we call them "predator mouth"
I think these is the best version to go if you want a rugged off road vehicle! Love it!
Definitely agree, this is certainly the one to go for if off-roading is what you're buying it for!

Best fair review ive watched. The reviewer is very knowledgeable of what the vehicle is designed for and expound on those notes. Good job!
Wow! I'd love to own this base model in the US!

This is an overlanders dream. Too bad it's so damned expensive.
