@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair just did this last night. Fouled coil. Removed coil and found oil in spark plug tube. Pulled plug and oil all over it. Put new valve cover/plug tube gasket, new plug and coil. Running good so far. No blinking engine light. Was a 303 code. Oil must of caused it. Hope I’m in the clear now!
Another excellent tutorial. These are the basic that most driver ignore. It begin with a small problem which eventually get heavier on the pocket for the later repairs. To buy a car is one thing to maintain it is another (Common silver bullet mentally of human even myself).

You really know your electronics on you explain it in detail outstanding absolutely the best as far as checking the wiring for coil number 2 you knew that it was good because after you swapped the coils cylinder number two was good that includes the wiring and cylinder number 3 was bad if the wiring for cylinder number two was bad that means when you do move the coils the problem was still remain and still in the number two complicated I know but keep up the great work you are a legend
Just bought this car and have a cylinder 4 misfire. Changed the coil and plugs and nothing. Because it is a high mileage car I was going to run a compression test and get new fuel filter/injectors because it's been awhile for the car. I really appreciate the detailed description of how to read the scanner! Thank you and you got a new subscriber

Nice presentation! I have one question: since cylinder #2 did not exhibit misfire anymore after you swapped its ignition coil with the one in cylinder #3, why do you still need to check the wires for cylinder #2?
Re George Thanks! disconnect the ignition coils one at a time and listen to the rpm change, if the rpm doesn't change when you disconnect a coil, that's the defective one! then make sure your wiring is good! Good luck!

So I change all 4 spark plugs cause and the #3 wire(coil) it work at first, but now it started to miss again and the ck engine light start flashing again. Do you think is the #3 ejector? Or fuel filter?
I have these bank 1 catalyst converter and bank 1 air fuel codes can you explain to me what this could be ? Also far shaking real bad and engine light on had a few misfire codes to bought spark plugs and coils but coils where junk yard coils my uncle said my injectors where real dirty we cleaned the one that aligned with cylinder misfires i had do you know maybe what’s going on ? And should I Just put new injectors and coils and I should be good ? But if so also what’s the thing with the bank one catalyst efficiency code ? Yea you just said it on video p0420 is that the cat from bottom of car or top? And will that make car shake bad on that’s misfire only but I still need to get the car fixed

Excellent I learned many things to your videos. I’m from Bangladesh and I’ve a Toyota Allion and my car bit noise during reducing the speed as well as uneven road. Noise I found inside the car under the steering. Would please inform me your advice, what problem is that.
@@mitulkhan6943 that noise can come from the electric motor , the gears in the electric motor make noise when they are worn out!! you should have it diagnosed at a pro shop to know exactly where the noise is coming from!!! Good Luck
I got code P0304 on my Toyota Corolla. Coil was changed as well as sparked plugs but the engine light, VSC Off, and traction control are still on. Also, it still makes a small rattle noise and it seems to stutter when accelerating. Not sure what else to check? If I lived in your state I would take In to your shop.

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair thank you for the reply. it seems like the car only does it when the car has been sitting a while (like overnight.) It hasn't showed the weird issue after the car has been running.
blahblah you might have a defective injector or a problem in the injector wiring or coil wiring, you should have a pro mechanic diagnose it for you, a low compression issue can cause a misfire too!

Alan Gaudry did you mean the attenuator to protect the scope? in this case no, on a 4 wire ignition coil it's very difficult to damage the scope since the driver is inside the coil!! and also snapon scopes handle the majority of voltages used on conventional without requiring an attenuator!!!

Just bought this car and have a cylinder 4 misfire. Changed the coil and plugs and nothing. Roberto Rodriguez On an engine that runs well your trim numbers should + or - 10% total trim, short + long term
Questions I just had that same problem they put new parts in the engine what else is the issue

Having the same issue but the misfire stays in the same cylinder after new plugs and moved coil around.
Maybe injector is going bad?

When using s scope to back probe the coil, is a filter needed to protect the scope. I know the Zeus has built in filter.
