- Two of Tesla Inc.’s top executives have left the carmaker in the midst of its latest round of job cuts, according to people familiar with the matter. Ed Ludlow has more from San Francisco on "Bloomberg the Open."
Execs “leaving” right before massive cuts means a company is in trouble.
This is significant, 10% job losses and executives leaving possibly before being kicked out. So what will happen if quarter 2 figures are bad? The honeymoon is definitely over for Tesla.

Of course the growth in the energy business will outpace that in the auto business. Going by the number of megapacks sold, that business grew 4% whereas the auto business is contracting with slowing sales and plunging earnings.

When you have got AI and AGI and if it lives up to what is said about it. Then all executives should be let go. It should save millions of dollars which can make Tesla cars cheaper and more competitive in the market.

This isn't limited to Tesla, the decline in sales that is, but Tesla being run by Elon, means there will be no empathy for the workers that were laid off. Now if Musk can manage to avoid insulting his Tesla customer base then maybe this is just a bump in the road, but given Musk's tendency to give the finger to his customers then perhaps it's more than a bump in the road!

You know that the revenue of Tesla is declining for 5 quarters now while the competitors like BYD are growing fast?
You also know, that the Car Business was never really profitable? And due to more competition Tesla will have to reduce prices (already have, more to come) making it even more unprofitable?

Chinese EV companies will jump on this to bring their EV with more warranty. 20k battery replacement is plain out insane.
They are already kicking Teslas rear in Asia. BYD and NIO will inevitably own the EuroAsian EV market for years to come.

Robots, AI, and autonomous factories, is Tesla’s future when it comes to development and production of EV cars. And it’s foray into Optimus Robot. That’s the main reason so many are laid off by Elon’s hand. We all know this is the path he envisioned. And now in a preemptive strike he cuts down the excess/redundant work force in order to move into this new reality. I think the Robotaxi and the highly automated factories will propel Tesla into the sky when it comes to its stock. The price of Tesla EV’s and especially the Robotaxi will be surprisingly low!! And erupt the market. In the short term it will seem bad to lay off so many people, BUT it is really paving the way for a stronger Tesla inc.
