Sven at 1ManArmy has indeed cracked the laser code.

Lots of great stuff on show Will. I'm over in the UK, so I'll be looking forward to seeing the BSA come together, then hopefully show-up at Telford (and win!). Thx for the vids.

      Will you be exhibiting, sir?

@@IllusionSector Hi, probably not; I do have connections with people who hire tables there and have had a couple models there in recent years, purely for display not in competition.

My initial thought when seeing that BSA was, "You have to build it!" But what you decided to with it was generous and made total sense. I hope you'll be able to update us once he digs into it.

Hi Will, I am a resident of Dover in England. I know the area well, Kingsdown is a small village between Dover and Deal, its only about 5 miles from me. If you want me to check out this further let me know.

What kind of masking material is that 1ManArmy mask was cut from?

There is some evidence that Sky was derived from the 'Camotint' colour developed by Sidney Cotton and used on RAF PR aircraft early in WWII. Cotton is a fellow who's worth looking up - an Australian inventor, photographer and aviation and photography pioneer, responsible for developing and promoting an early colour film process, and largely responsible for the development of photographic reconnaissance within the RAF before and during the Second World War. He numbered among his close friends George Eastman, Ian Fleming and Winston Churchill.

Could you print tires in white resin, paint your favorite shade of tire color, and then sand down to reveal the white?

I don't see why not. Back in the 1960s, some company (I think AMT) did some drag slicks that were in white styrene. I remember painting them with Testors Flat Black and then sanding the raised lettering, which worked very well. I wish that would have been the norm, but all the companies insisted (and still do) on vinyl tires.

Will, I have the same BSA GOLD STAR kit, I ordered it from an English motorcycle magazine years ago, and I have always wanted to build it, what type of glue would you use on it. I thought that epoxy might be the best, but some of the parts may be soldered, what do you think. I bought the kit from JR TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS for $99.00 In 2001, I still have the invoice.
