I've come across the 50 110 ammo but no guns for it. I'd rather have the 70 140, that's such a cool rifle. This guy has some of the nicest guns on TH-cam in my opinion.
Are you the shop that builds these? I’d be interested in doing a stainless Henry, for those book-worthy hunts miles back in the bush where the weather has gone to shit and you’re tangling with the biggest and wildest beasts known to man. Is that possible?
Well that's fantastic news. I've known about the barrel maker in Florida, but assumed it would require a smith with some extra knowledge about the 1886 mechanism to get the action to work the .50-110 even if the barrel is correct. It's gotta be one of the world's finest .50 cal cartridges honestly, within a reasonable range expected for blunt nose bullets.
I just purchased two 2024 production 1886s saddle ring carbines. I plan on converting one myself to 50-110 with a barrel from Winchester barrels. In another video i thought you mentioned you performed the conversion yourself, if so would you do a future video of the conversion process? I called wyoming armory and the cost of conversion is $2500ish dollars. I have the “Winchester lever action repeating firearms volume 2” on the way. Im still undecided on barrel length as I’m worried about the velocity loss of the 22” barrel vs 26”. Have you ever compared the 22” barrel vs 26” in 50-110?
@@Leverguns50 I liked the fact that the whole rifle is made out of 14-4 stainless steel. I was interested in a 16" trapper in either 50 Alaskan or 50-110 with brown laminate furniture. It seems the receiver they use is shorter than a standard 86 receiver.
@@exothermal.sprocket Well if they build the full size 86 receiver they could offer every caliber that the 1886 came in. Myself I'm interested in a 50 Alaskan version of the 86 as a brush gun. A 50-100/110 version would be cool to but brass is the hard part. But I haven't heard any new news about a full size 86 so I'm guessing I'll have to go to Wyoming armory. It's a shame though because there the only ones making a fully stainless steel 1886.
Thank you for the info Sir, looking forward to watch some reloading videos of .50-110, you mentioned we could use a round ball in this it would be awsm to watch you fire a round ball from this bad boy. 👍
I'm just now seeing this video. I'm checking between the couch cushions for lost change and walking around looking for aluminum cans to turn in for they're bounty so I can order my 1886 to have it done in 50-110.
You can buy a loaded ammo, but it’s much cheaper to load your own and you get a bigger variety of components, grizzly ammo makes some Buffalo arms and a few other companies
How was Google searching for the strongest steel in the world that far exceeds chromoly and 41404120 and so forth of stainless steel and there is such a steal that has an absolute maximum first thing strength that is really phenomenal I know there are companies like Douglas premium grade s i l e a n I believe for their barrels and I think when firing heavy bullets from 450 500 550 550 600 the rifle twist and the raider twist the lands and grooves are a factor
That rifle would look amazing in color cased hardening.
Especially that Wyoming Armory bone charcoal!

Thank you, sir, for the information. This will be added to my build wishlist.

Thank you! You too!
Big Horn armory told me last year that there working on bringing out a rifle cartridge version of the model 89 but who knows when that will happen.
That would be interesting

Glad it was helpful!
Muy bueno tu video saludos desde argentina
Thank you
Very impressive
Thank you
How does it work on blue armor?
Have you used .50 Alaskan and both .500 lineball lengths
Yes, I have used it. It works like a 45-70 in the 45-90
Is Wyoming Armory still doing them? It’s not advertised on their website.
I talked to the owner and he said they are
@@Leverguns50 Thank you!
Outstanding! Did yours start out as a Winchester Miroku 45-70/90?
45-70
A fine rifle indeed
Mountain man
Thank you
What’s the capacity of this rifle, thanks
Just wondering if you hand load your 50-110 ammo or buy off the shelf

You are going to cost me money.
After I put the roof on my house I might get me one . I live over in Walker Co AL.
Hope you get your roof on soon, it’s been raining a lot
👍😊 big power big 🕳. Don’t you another one with a threaded barrel? 🤔
Yes, I have another one with a threaded barrel For a muzzle break
👍🏻
Thank you
Was that a jacketed bullet?
A jacket and softnose fury Bullet
Turnbull does them too...
He sounds stressed out 😂😂😂😂
Have a good week sir. I lost my mother last wednesday😭
Sorry to hear that, I lost my mother A couple of days before Christmas
Hey brother
Thank you
Why does he look somber talking about something like this hahahaha
Mark at Wyoming Armory
Yes
How about a 54 130 like you did for that double it could possibly be used in the 1886
No, it has way too big a rim, and also the base of the cartridge is too big
Well maybe in a double rifle and a reproduction sharps rifle or a trapdoor reproduction
