You Sir, are a genius. I managed to successfully purchase a switch but failed to notice the bridging between terminals 1 and 4 along with 3 and 6 missing. After watching your video I added the bridging and it works perfectly. I thought my new switch was defective but it was the missing bridging that was the problem. Thank you 👏🏼👍
It came on and was heating but one button wasn’t lighting up and the choice of different power levels wasn’t working until I added your bridging. I should mention your video was the inspiration to repair it in the first place. The switch took a long time to arrive and I’d forgotten about the bridging. I also didn’t think I’d need it because my new switch looked identical on first glance. Another one saved from the landfill 😎
Hello sister, they gave information about the radiator heater turning it upside down it really did work. I am so amazed and appreciative that you shared your experience. Have a great life.
I’m dealing with the same problem with a Lakewood space heater identical to yours and I already have the switch. Just like yours I have to make the jumper cables. Could you tell me what size gauge wire did you used for the jumper cables? I would appreciate isn’t information.
Sir, if you could PLEASE help me with this I would so greatly apprecite it. I have looked online EVERYWHERE and you are the first to address this. My switch is really weird - sometimes both of the thermostats will light up and get going when set to max heat, but very rarely. However, if I put the temperature to the midway point both of the switches will light up. Every once in a while, I can have the unit set to max and both of the switches will light up and that thing gets HOT. I suck with electronics and love learning how to do new things. I would love to teach myself but didn't even know where to start with this.
I just took it apart, the switches will both light up when the thermostat is set below the piont when you can feel the click. They both still light up. There is a slight burn inside like yours. Maybe one of the connections is messed up?
@@ericcurtis8547 I do not. I have been watching other videos and have noticed that there is a certain cutoff point that is engaged by some heat-limit over ride switch that will trip. Maybe I am mistaken. I noticed that when I blow a fan on the radiator it tends to allow it to function with both lights on set to max 1500 and it may be because the fan is adequately cooling that sensor. I want to learn more about this stuff - could be a good learning experience haha.
What amp is the switch, I'm having to replace mine for the same reasons. But before I take it all apart, I want to make sure I can find the correct switch.
I wouldn't know. All of those switches seem to be different in those heaters I have worked on several of them my advice would be to take it apart and see what the switch is rated for

Even though Sis, I had purchased another heater, not a radiator heater because you shared now I have two working heaters!
The trick to prolonging the switch is to turn the thermostat all the way down so the heater is not actually on before flipping the switch
