When my husband & I first got married, I’d throw the “D” word out all the time. I’d threaten divorce once too many times & he finally “snapped”. At that time, I also had the physical papers. He said “ You know why I’ve been such a ‘shitty husband’? Because you’re going to divorce me right? Why should I give you my all when you already decided to quit this relationship.” Since then, I’ve never said the “D” word.
