Ken Boothe's sincerity is beautiful, let alone his voice! I'm 23 years old and feel this music like it's always been a part of my life... UK loves Reggae Music :) 1
Realized there were black people in the audience when Dennis sang his After Tonight. People must have been told to sit down because when we were coming up, I never sat down at an event. I ain’t big, never was but you would have had to throw me out for staying put on my seat at an event like this. Hearing Big Youth, Ken Boothe then Matumbi ( Denis Bovill ) took me back to when we were coming up in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Through all the struggles and hard times there was music, church, blues, good times and unity. Today’s society will find it hard to look back as we can to see how music brought us all here. Really does not matter where you’re from, what colour, race or creed you are. We all feel the same in the end. Music did that. Glad to have been part of it.
omg why am i only watching it now... every artist stirred up some reminisce and nostaglia growing up in the mid 80s in London, my family, the culture the life! Music really does unite lets remember that love is and music is the bridge to it blessings and much love
Love reggae music. I don't just listen to it I feel it. Sounds strange for a white boy from Wigan hey. Well I'm well travelled lol. when is reggae week I'm uk?
Stumbled across Winston Reedy years ago after a lazy typing effort searching youtube as a Burning Spear (Winston Rodney) fan. Dudes voice is a treasure.
It was the day of 4/20, me and my friend had acquired some LSD for the very first time. We dropped, and crazy shit started to happen. I flicked on the tv, and guess what's on? This! Guess who's singing? BIIIIGGGG YOUUUUTHTHTHHH. Fuck me that night was strange

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MAKE THIS A SEATED EVENT?
Dont make sense should a studium
It's a shame the public can't stand up and dance to these riddim scorchers
Why are the audience seated when 'On My Radio' comes on. Very odd.
They seated cos the audience are mostly older and can't stand all night.....they not as young as they used to be when these songs first came out...
