*Finding the perfect keto-friendly bun can be a challenge, but you've provided three fantastic options that cater to different tastes and preferences.*
These rolls will be included in my stuffing recipe this Thanksgiving. I appreciate how many of your recipes are fine for a family with type 1 diabetics. I can serve the same dishes to everyone without experimenting. Thank you.
I've just tried this with my cassava flour, almond being expensive. I made flat bread in the summer and used that recipe to make a roll yesterday. I make a mix and then add liquid to bake each day . They were a bit hard . So I tried adding some bicarb of soda, dried egg white and cider vinegar . I also used the boiling water as you say . ( with the oven preheated well ) It has worked really well, Thankyou. I want to try adding yeast for flavour next time . K
To those of you having trouble with the inside of buns being too moist. ..bake at 375...reduce boiling water to 3/4 cup and try using garlic salt instead of reg salt.
Just made this bread...love it, thank you for this fabulous recipe. Question: what can I do to replace the eggs on all these three recipe? Really interested without eggs. Thanks much.
I like all your pancakez and muffins recipes and the kaya muffins .I want to make kaya but will sweetener coconut eggs turn out ok without the pandan leaves.
I made the sugar free dried cranberry ones and they were delicious. There are sites on Google to find out how to make your own sugar free cranberries. I like to freeze them in ziploc pouches and then add a few to keto granola or even to muffins or cookies. Thanks!
Thanks for the prompt reply. I am an amateur . Are the tablespoons and teaspoons you were specifying heaped or flattened. The centre’s did not fluff up as in bun or bread. What is it I did wrong . Please can u guide me
This is a very old video. In newer videos all the measurements are in grams for accuracy. I still provide the cup and spoon measurements as it's been requested. You can refer to my other keto bread recipes (I have over 75 videos) at the playlist for the measurements in grams for all the ingredients
When cooking, the spoon and cup measurements are always “flat” - like you scraped across the top with the back of a knife. When you have a squishy solid measured in cups, like peanut butter, banana, pumpkin, softened butter, or sour cream, use a spatula to mash it into the cup measure. That way you don’t get air pockets.
So sorry I have not tried that before and its not available here. You can consider replacing psyllium husk powder with xanthan gum. The ratio is 1 tsp xanthan gum to 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder
Hello, I have tried the recipe twice and both times the buns rose but deflated as soon as I took them out of the oven. What do you suggest I do differently?
It could be due to the baking powder or baking soda. I have personally experienced switching my regular baking soda (Marks & Hammer) when it ran out of stock and the new one I used made the buns rise so much until they looked like they could explode anytime then deflate when out of the oven. When I switched back to my regular brand, no problem. Also it could be due to too much psyllium husk. If you are using psyllium powder then only a small amount is needed like 1 to 2 tsp. This is an old recipe and I actually have a version 2.0 so please check it out here; th-cam.com/video/Jo595WLowAI/w-d-xo.html
Hello 😊 may i ask if you initially measured 5tbsps of whole psyllium husk then powdered it? Or you measured 5tbsp powdered psyllium husk? I tried making it today but it was still a little bit wet inside and there was a hollow portion. Please help. Thanks🥰
Sorry you can't replace the flour. But you can use my coconut bread recipe and turn it into rolls. I have coconut and flaxseed bun recipe too and a lot of other bread recipes so you can check out the playlist thanks 😊
Ok thank you for your fast reply yes I will try making these again and I want to take this opportunity to say that all your recipes are the best I found so keep coming anyway Happy Chinese New year
@@marcostan9561 Ahhh you need to reduce the amount by half as the recipe is based on single acting baking powder. When too much baking powder is used, the bread will rise rapidly then collapse later and the inside is uncooked

Try baking them longer and make the buns smaller so its easier to cook. Also did you grind the psyllium husk into finer powder until half its original volume? This will ensure it to absorb the water more effectively
@@lowcarbrecipeideas so I did bake them longer and they were about the size of yours. I also used psyillium powder which is already ground from the whole psyllium and they were still wet. This bread was easy to make, it came out beautifully BUT there was an awful strong after taste of something that didn't allow me to keep it down for long. Nothing I put on the buns was able to get rid of that awful taste. So sorry

Terri Budjak so sorry...measurements are very important (that’s what I learned in baking) Lots lots of people are having success with all recipes. Maybe restart again and good luck.

Is it possible to use the linseed mix powder instead to the Psylium husk powder? Many thanks, the keto break looks amazing

Thank you
Yes you can bake few trays but try and alternate the trays so they cook more evenly

@@lowcarbrecipeideas Thank you for your advice. I just tried the new recipe and it works great :) 😊
@lowcarbrecipeideas if I use store bought psyllium husk powder, how much I need to use?
About 1 tsp but if the dough is too soft to shape then you can add a bit more
Okay, thanks for your response 😊
How much net carb in this bun?? Looks so good :))
The plain one by the way :)
Hi the plain one is 5gm net carb. If you're looking for lower carb u can try the cococut flaxseed bun as its abt 1 gm carb only
Wow! thank you for the information :)) absolutely will try the coconut one 👍🏻
How do you avoid the buns going flat when taking those out of the oven?
Try baking them longer
Also if you put them back into the oven immediately and continue baking they will puff up again. So just bake them longer

Also try and omit baking soda
