- This is a reworked version of the 2020 Fan Collection montage, with the original sound of the fans in motion rather than the overlaying music. Countless viewers over the years have wished for a montage with the raw audio track so I made it happen this year! From the calm whir of the Vornado to the iconic Lakewood start-up sounds, they’re all here. This montage is guaranteed to satisfy your hunger for fan sounds. Enjoy :)
Notes:
• To keep the video at a moderate duration, I’ve left out many fans from this montage.
• Some of the fans have not been restored yet so they may not be in their prime operating or cosmetic condition.

That’s correct. The Holden is currently installed in the basement bedroom, and the Pinion is in storage.

I found an error on the 1999 turbo fans, one is Honeywell and one is duracraft.
They’re basically the same fans either way. Duracraft was owned by Honeywell at one point.

But I’ll try to remember to have that label rewritten to mention the Honeywell in the 2021 montage. I honestly didn’t really even notice until you pointed it out lol.
Maybe try looking over it again to find any errors for the next one just in case

Damn the 1998 Patton seems to really move air that’s why it shakes the camera
Yeah the Patton is one beast of a fan. In the first take of the video clip, it actually completely blew the tripod over.
Did it damage your camera?
Luckily I caught the tripod before it hit the floor. Even if it did fall, I think it would have damaged the floorboard more than my phone lol.
How so?
The tripod’s positioning handle protrudes out much further than the phone so that would have been the first part to strike the floor. It would have left a good dent in the floorboard.
I kind of like the no music better for some reason
I personally like this version too! There is still an audience who enjoys the music edition but it seems like most fan enthusiasts prefer the music-free version. I’m not surprised though; this video is music to our ears!
@@TheSuperFanMan I agree. I’m actually 50/50 about both. I like Alan Walker music for videos like this. My next years fan collection video I’m going be using fade by Alan Walker and I’ll do a version with no music. I might do a behind the scenes too. What do you think?

I don't see you have Comfort Zone drum fan 16 inch Airworks pedestal fan HT 900 Fan and USB's
Yes some fans were left out of the video.
This is the same way I do my fan collection videos because the original sound is satisfying for the viewers to hear the fans turned on and off.
Yeah many people do prefer to hear the sound of the fans.

12:30 that 2003 hampton bay 12” desk fan has a similar start up sound to my 2004 B&Q 12” desk fan
It definitely does! They were both made by SMC in the similar years so they likely share the same motor. The interesting thing is that none of the older SMC fans have start-up sounds that are quite as pronounced as the Hampton Bay.

I know, my 1996 Super 16 Inch Pedestal Fan and the 1st 1996 12C has that sound as well

@@TheSuperFanMan I find some sound different. My cousin has a regular 2 HT-800’s and my has a HT-803 and my friends HT-803 sounds lower pitch and one my cousins HT-800’s sound lower pitch as well. I just find the pitch on high just sounds the same on yours compare to others I’ve seen with other HT-800’s
That’s interesting. It could be due to a number of factors such as the motor running slow or dust accumulation.

I've noticed that the lasko box fans from 2002 03 on the front motor housing where the bearing is is shaped similar to the ones on a marco motor. They seem to have only been made that in early 2003 and they looked kool. Does your 2002 03 airworks or any of your 2002 03 lasko have that design on the front bearing.
I don’t exactly know what you mean by the bearing shape, but if I recall correctly, the front motor housing on the Airworks fan looked pretty much identical to the motors in current Lasko box fans. I don’t remember seeing anything that was reminiscent of the Marco motors.

Correct. It hasn’t been restored yet and the motor is in need of lubrication.
Just curious why you didn’t add the Airworks stand fan and the small Airworks desk?
I was considering it, but in these fan collection montages, I leave out a handful of fans to keep the video from being too long. Those two Airworks happened to be among the fans that didn’t make it. Perhaps they’ll be in the 2021 montage :)

I don’t really keep track so I honestly have no idea lol. I don’t have very many Airworks fans. I suppose you could look through my videos and add them up.
