Katie, your dad is so lovely. Every kid needs a person like him in their life.

Katie, this will help so many girls who don't have a dad. Who need that structured dad voice in their lives.
Thank you very much, both of you

I can identify with your dad's drive, even though I could never match it. As a failed pre-med student, AND a quickly failing professional ballet dancer, I too underwent a career change in my late 20s and early 30s. Just like your dad, I threw a paper route too! 7/52/365 for three years. They were a brutal three years. But that damn paper route went a long way towards paying for my flight training. Your dad became an oral surgeon; and I became an airline pilot. When there's a passion, there's a drive.

I'm 24 and was recently feeling sorry for myself for starting "late" on a few things, it is great to hear from a such successful man who started on something at 27, and exceeded! I LOVED this! Your parents are so sweet, thank you for sharing them with us! I am SUCH a daddy's girl so this was extremely special to me.

This video explains so much about how you hold yourself as a person and dancer Katy! Your Dad seems like an amazing person!
This is exactly what I needed now tbh. Especially hearing how he pretty much started to rebuild his life from scratch at 27. I am 27 and would really need to do the same.
Say thank you to your Dad in our behalf, and thank you to you! ❤

Thank you for this. I lost my dad nearly 18 years ago and I miss him so much. My father had a similar work ethic as your dad, and the bit about the binders made me laugh. I inherited my father's strict sense of organization, too. A much needed bright spot today :)

Thank you for this video! Loved to hear your dads perspective. Now we had an interview with both parents ❤ So sad that you weren't able to "meet in real life".
For us, my dad didn't like going to gymnastic competitions and ballet performances, it wasn't his thing. But he would drive us to competition and training/class and support our decisions.
He went with my older brother to badminton competitions and my mom went with my sister and I. Evenly divided 😅

Please, from all of us, pass on this message to your dad and thank him for not only for his military service to our country but also for being an incredibly positive influence on both you, his daughter, and all of us watching. You both are truly a blessing in this tough time. Love you. 💚

Such a sweet vid. Your Dad is an AMAZING Dad. He loves you so much Katie! How special your Dad was so involved. That seem to set you on a trajectory of success. Katie you were absolutely treasured!! You can see that your "drive", your ambition was an off-shoot of your Dad's. I believe that encouragement helps to motivate although self discipline is a bonus. Loved seeing interaction between you two....so precious in the eyes if your Dad (and all of us!) Right now Im a little older than your Dad but I still have costumes and pointe shoes all over the house. Maybe dancing is just on a cellular level. I can never let go of it. Still dream about it although my life ended up in the nursing field. Enjoy all your vids. And certainly the health issue with the Hashimotos was important. Hashimotos is a struggle. Difficult to dx and get control of. It took 5 or 6 years for me. But good to see you've 'recovered'. What a sweet surprise for all of us to finally get to 'meet' your Dad and get that slice of your life. Beautiful! Love you muchly young lady! You've been a blessing to all of us. ❤

This video was so inspirational! You are really lucky that both your parents supported you in your quest to achieve your goal. In your ups and downs too. Your father having you make a board was a great idea, I still use it. Without family support (emotional and sometimes financial too) it is much harder to persevere and achieve what we plan. 👏 and🖐️ to a great dad.

This is such a good video of your Dad, Katie. Could you do another video with him talking about work ethic? How to develop and establish good work ethic? Especially coming from a place of having a passion for something, but needing to harness it and turning it into the work ethic. He talked about some of that in this video, and I would love to hear him and you expound on that some more. Love your videos, and you dad is lovely!
