They actually made a movie about and how they got started came out a number of years ago but very good I recommend you checking it out. They were amazingly talented for their age and produced two great female rock goddesses love it and keep on rocking.

And the rest, Lita and Sandy(drummer), wanted to go more metal. Plus their manager from the start, a guy named Kim Fowley, was, at once, a great motivator, and an abusive scumbag. The gal in the blue, Vicki Blue, was their 3rd, or 4th, depending on how you count, bassist. When the Runaways first started their bassist was Micki Steele, she quit quickly, swore she'd never be in another all female band. Ended up hitting it big with the Bangles. lol Most people associate Jackie Fox as the main bassist for The Runaways. We lost Sandy West, the drummer, in 2006 to lung cancer. She never found the same success after the Runaways broke up.

Saw Girlschool open up for Scorpion and Iron Maiden in Houston back in 82. They were pretty good live.
