      I like that. There’s a football (soccer) player Mithieu Flamini who was above average player but also the richest athlete in modern history.
      When you have 5 league’s in each country there’s 113,000 professionals so that’s how you can be above average, play for a top 20 club world wide and not be a well known name.
      Anyway, he is the richest athlete in modern history! He owns a bio chemicals/ bio energy company and is worth $15-30 billion.

    Was looking for an open-world base crafting game last Steam Sale and I saw "Planet Crafter". Yep, it's well-worth the money and it has good lore as well! • @nawack2774
      @nawack2774 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bought the game a few months ago and I must say that I am rather disappointed.
      The concept is cool, and personally I prefer survival games that focus on environmental threats rather than enemies and combat, as is the case in this one.
      But... we feel that it's a very small team with very few resources. It's not a bad game, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly, and there's not one aspect that I think is great.
      I like to explore in games, for example, and well... Well, it's rather boring in this game, it's quite repetitive and there's nothing really surprising or original.
      The base building is also not very advanced, the survival mechanics too simplistic, like terraforming, etc. It gives a bit the impression of being a draft or seeing a game in pre-alpha.
      I have the impression that it sold rather well (for a game of its kind and given the means of the devs), and that's good, because even if I'm not a fan of the current game I like the concept and I find that there is an interesting potential, if it can make the devs want to make a Planet Crafter 2 with more solid bases and more advanced in each area, I will be very interested.

    If you haven’t played V Rising since the massive new Gloomrot Edition then please do! I can’t recommend it enough! The developers not only listened to their player base, but rebalanced the game entirely making it easier to solo. It is possible to build multi tier castles up to six levels if you want, add gems to spells to give them an added boost, and made weapons all the more stronger to give you that much of an edge in a fight. There are tons more bosses that add a fun new touch to the gameplay. 😊

    Honorable mention to Outward. Not a lot to look at but it has charm and a good survival system. Camping is perilous if you don’t put some thought into it. Whether will make you sick if you aren’t dressed properly, need to eat and drink or you die and has an interesting story full of mysterious gods and monsters.
    By far the most interesting aspect is the magic system. You have to journey and fight your way to the center of a mountain to unlock mana and in order to have mana you need to sacrifice points from your health and stamina so a good balance is key. Magic itself is a ritual. Single spells normally do nothing but combine them with crystals and other spells to unlock crazy and wild effects.

    V Rising is by far the toppest of top notch early access games. Very fun and challenging gameplay, both as a single player experience or multiplayer on servers. If you play on servers, take note of politics, some players just have little power trips and can get a little toxic... But they get teamed up on, usually when the rest of the server teams up to wreck them. That said, the pvp in the game is also very crisp and polished. It's personal player skill based, gear doesn't really play a real factor in terms of advantages for one player or the other. (aside from health pools and weapon variety)
    I highly recommend literally everyone to give the game a try. If you don't love it, that's okay, everyone is allowed to have an incorrect opinion.

    I'd include Stranded Deep in this list, by no means the deepest or most ingenious survival game but its very good in its simplicity. Good entry point to the genre too, has a clear goal, systems aren't insanely complex but there's enough there and looks pretty decent too

    I think I passed on half of these games primarily because of the online/co-op component. Any game that "must have" or "better played" with a partner/co-op automatically goes into the (meh.... pass) bin for me. As for the rest, I completely forgot about Astroneer until this vid so I def gotta go back and check that one out

    Good short summing up of Empyrion: Galactic Survival but just a couple of points; I have over 3000 hours in the game and have never really played multi-player. There are many great servers if that's your preference but it's a great single player game; particularly using the excellent Reforged Eden scenario (mod). The Steam Workshop is amazing too for those who aren't the best builders. There's also a whole galaxy to explore, not just a solar system.

    Conan Exiles is always ignored. It's never talked about. SCUM, Astroneer and V Rising are all pretty popular and considered games among people who play survival games. Conan is often ignored entirely because of it's horrible launch. It suffers the same issues every one of these other games do with exploits/hackers and bugs. Not a single survival game exists without them. These issues aside, it has the best and most developed building system.

    I've been a dedicated SCUM player since 2019, and it is definitely the most advanced survival game. The issue comes from the Dev Team trying to balance community requests with their original vision. Every time an update gets released, which is roughly every 4-7 months, it breaks another central mechanic of the game. There used to be a myriad of vehicles in the game, for example, but at the time of this comment there are only 2 cars, a small motorboat, a dirt bike, and a bicycle. At the same time, we now have a fully functional metabolism and medical system now, whereas it used to be a boiled-down version.
    Nevertheless, I always recommend SCUM over DayZ, Ark, and Conan. The graphics and gun play are great, if you can muster up the patience required to be a SCUM fan.

  • @judechauhan6715
    @judechauhan6715 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Scum: In development, most similar game Dayz people stuck with due to familiarity and didn't see as worth switching a like-for-like while it was still in early development but I don't doubt over time if they make it good that will change.
    Chernobylite: About as much survival as looking after the camp in RDR2, more mild management ig a bit like tomb raider but trying to feed others, not yourself.
    Empyrion: Sort of lost the 'space race' to Space Engineers in terms of graphics, features and player count but is actually a better survival game, if you like the 'look' of Empyrion but also don't like the looks i.e. graphics, hud etc and you want to mine resources, refine them, build bases, space stations and spaceships then fly into procedural endless space take a look at Space Engineers but the survival is again tomb raidery, Oxygen, fuel and enemies are the survival, not food/water.
    Planet crafter: didn't get much of a look in for the same reason as SCUM, was in very early development and I believe still in development. Mostly ignored due to better alternatives (such as subnautica) with more features, better looking and more complete at the time.
    Survivalist Invisible Strain: No comment, looks fun.
    Astroneer: Not sure it belongs on this list, got plenty of attention from the audience it wanted and was covered hugely by media and reviewers at the time, I think it got fair attention at the time and maybe not so much anymore because newer better ones are available or the others from it's time were better received long term and stick around today (again Subnautica). A fun terrain mining game but I wouldn't personally say a 'real' survival game or that it was ignored.
    Darkwood: Feels like the Rimworld of Project Zomboid, difficult, using all your loot and nearly dying isn't a reason to load a save, it means you lived.
    V rising: Pretty cool, Divinity/Baldurs Gate with base building and real time combat. Largely ignored by the survival genre fans because... well, it's not really survival. I think most looking for 'Survival games' want games like Stranded deep and Raft and Green hell, not Mad Max (which is a great game) driving around fighting people Batman style and occasionally stopping to drink water or eating maggots.
    Card Survival: Looks like it has the systems of survival games we all want but they never have the depth of. Would love to see this level of depth for a game like RDR2 and just have the everything matrix all in one game that looks and plays great (DayZ and Scum are probably the closest to making that a reality we have for now).
    Vintage Story: Looks like Sevtech Ages but in a dedicated standalone, will have to give this one a go!
