On a side note, it's insane that they charge $70+ bucks for product that i'm sure cost less than $5 bucks to make. I live in Canada too eh , lol . I also bought one of these cases for my 6s and it’s terrible . Wish I could get my money back. It’s a hard case to clean. Didn’t protect against the cold , my cell still died just as fast as it did in cheap cases if not faster. Oh and the screen glare wow it sucked so much like you referred to. And the sound issue my cell works fine to make calls and talk when it’s off but when it’s on I have to use my headphones and that terrible black add on . And to top it off I write them several times with no responses . Great video very very well done cheers !.

I own the iPhone 6 as well and I should've spent my $80 with some other case. Yes, it really does suck the joy out of using your iPhone! Touch sensitivity decreased, don't know how much had decreased since using it, but sometimes I have to tap the keyboard two or three times in order to type one letter.. one letter.. Screen protector is awful. Rainbow effect, I tried so many solutions and still it is showing. I like things to be clean and organized, and this screen, gets dirty so often no matter how many times I try to clean it, it ends up dirty again.. I listen to music a lot, so I lost that headphone jack seal, tried searching for spare ones online (also on the Lifeproof website) but no avail, plus I own spare aftermarket earphones if the OEM Apple earphones break, they don't even fit in, so I have to take the phone out of the case just to listen to music.. just, to, listen, to, music.. Same results with aftermarket chargers.. Call quality and sound is muffled, again tried many solutions like blowing into the mic/speaker. Not requesting for a replacement, LP can take my money, putting this case back to the box, putting this box back to the closet with all the other boxes, and just move on with an alternative case or just go back to using wallet case, I'm done with LP..
I'm currently using the life proof frē for the iPhone 6 and I just wanted to ask if anyone noticed the sound goes to the back of the case and the back of the case has some vibration, makes the sound a little bit muffled? Anyone? It sounds like most of the sound is coming through the back of the back of the case
I strongly dislike the fré screen protectors for the 4 & 5 models, which made me switch to the nüüd for my iP5. Your review has made me feel very confident I've done the right thing to order and wait patiently (kinda) for an Aquatik.
Lifeproof sent me a replacement case when I called about the horrible screen quality. They said they had heard of no other complaints. I don't see how but anyways I got my replacement and the screen protector quality on it is just as bad as my first one. Considering how long we had to wait for it to be released and the high price they really should have done a better job on it I think.
I was wondering how sensitive the buttons were with the case especially the home button. I know with my old iphone 4 case every time I had it in my pocket and bent over it would activate the voice control, thanks for your time.
I've been using a Fre on my iPhone 5 for about a year and I see what you mean about sucking the joy out of it so I switch back to a Candyshell Grip sometimes at home. I've just got an iPhone 6S so I think I'm gonna order a new Fre and I already have a Candyshell for it. Perfect combination :P
I just have to say I am very disappointed in the LifeProof cases. I had one for my iPhone 4S, and the damn thing BROKE my sleep/wake button on the top. I would 100% advise AGAINST ever getting a LifeProof case for your phone/tablet. Their customer service was horrible, all they offered was to replace the case, they didn't acknowledge there was a design flaw in the button covers. I'm upgrading to a 6+ within the month of January, so these kinds of videos are very informative.
The jammed power button problem is not exclusive to Lifeproof cases! I've noticed that LITERALLY EVERY case I've ever used that COVERS the power button eventually jammed the button through prolonged use. This has happened on all of my iphones (3GS,4,5) although I have yet to use a case like that on the 6. Beware of any case that physically covers the power button!
I had cases that covered the power button prior to having the LifeProof case. I have no doubt in my mind that it was the LP case that broke my power button.
Update I the fre for the iPhone 6. Got a replacement 2 days ago they updated the case and the screen protector is slightly better than the original and the cut out for the charger port is huge now and fits just about any charger that's aftermarket.
reggie west I am glad to hear your reply! That is my biggest complaint with my current Lifeproof Fre case is that I am unable to use all of the aftermarket charging cords I have invested in! I attempted to modify the port myself but now it is obviously not waterproof. I wonder if Lifeproof will offer me a replacement?
Had the lifeproof case for the iPhone 6 for two weeks then I took it back to store first few days was alright until I went to take off to clean it never was able to make screen look like first few days so went to otterbox with glass shield and it looks great I would not recommend lifeproof if you want your screen looking right
when u crack or water damage your $700 - $1000 iPhone 6, just remember this review was your prevention advice. i love my life proof case. it works the best and i have lived with many cases in my lifetime and life proof is the best by far.
what about reviewing the lunatic taktik 360 and aquatik for iPhone 6? their previous cases have been awesome! (side note did break the screen protector on my tactic for iPhone 4!!!)
Also now since the 7 is out this was on clearance at target for 44.98 had to grab it originally 99 bucks plus tax very happy with the fre ads a lil bit more size but not a big deal

Mine had a bubble in the area where you type. It was not an air bubble but a raised area. I called the company and they sent a replacement with the same problem!!!!

Matt Kennison I'm probably not going to shoot it. The screen is made from bulletproof glass but isn't bulletproof itself. The only ones with rounded edges that I've seen are the Spigen Glass and iloome screen protectors. They don't cover the rounded edges but taper to fit the curve of the iPhone.

I'm really disappointed in my iPhone 5s Lifeproof Fre case. Touch sensitivity dropped by 50%. It's that bad. I have to touch two or three times to register. Same with Touch ID which I use all the time. The top of the screen is useless due to the gap created by the front facing camera ring. None of my earphone fits in the jack opening! I wish I never spent the money! The Nuud seems to solve these problems with the screen at least.
I recommend the Tech Armor Ultraclear Ballistic Glass. It cost me approximately 10-15 dollars. The quality of this screen protector is unlike any other I have used, and I am thoroughly impressed by it. It only comes with one in the box, but Tech Armor gives it a lifetime warranty, and they mailed me another for free! Just tell them you screwed up the installation or you managed to damage it somehow, no matter what the cause they will send you another!
Hey man hows it going! So here is the deal, I just upgraded from the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 6. Before the iPhone 5, I had the iPhone 4. When I had my iPhone 4 I had a life proof case on it and I didn’t really like it that much. Like you said in some of your videos, its the little things like the space in between the screen that I didn’t like which messed with the screen sensitivity. When I got my iPhone 5, I got the Griffin catalyst case and man did I love that case. It was on there from the day I got it to the day I got rid of the iPhone 5! and it was amazing. I seen that griffin is making a catalyst case for the iPhone 6 and it looks amazing as well! would you recommend going back to the catalyst or the life proof? I haven't seen an images for the Griffin Survivor + Catalyst yet... Catalyst is shipping a waterproof case in the next month which should be pretty good. I was a big fan of their iPhone 5S case. I've got 2 other cases that are waterproof right now, the Dog & Bone Wetsuit and the Sedio Obex (both are better than the Fre in terms of screen sensitivity). Stay tuned for those reviews!

The Dog and bone wetsuit looks cool but I think I want a protected screen. I just checked out the Sedio Obex and it actually looks pretty nice! I am excited to see the review on it.
Midwestfishingbros For the 5S versions, I like the Catalyst over LifeProof. For the Wetsuit, there is a screen protector that's included with the case. With their design, I believe it's possible to use other screen protectors safely as well. The Obex is ok...the screen rainbows which drives me nuts.

Hi, since we can’t put any screws protector underneath the lifeproof case, can we put it on top of it? If so, can i use a tempered glass film or is it better to use one more flexible and thin? For me it is to have the possibility to get rid of a scratch on my screen case and maybe use an anti blue light film.
I bought the Life Proof case when I got my I Phone 6 from an ATT store. From day one there were problems with garbled voice with the phone. I took the phone to ATT and they did a test... they found the case prevented clear voice transmission. I had to remove the case for proper sound transmission....now I am out $100 I paid for the case...Life Proof did send me a new case...but what good is a new case if the design problem isn't corrected? every one I communicated with described the same problem ...very choppy voice...frequently I would have to call on another phone so we could hold a conversation and understand what was being said. Any one else have this problem? Any comments would be appreciated!

When I put it on speaker phone, the person on the other says I go in and out and they cannot hear me half the time :( Did you find this as well? I do not have any issues with the "rainbow" stuff on the front screen it looks like the lifeproof screen protector is half suctioned onto my phone making there look like there are huge air bubbles on the screen... frustrating! Should I return it and ask for a new one? Or are these two issue common for this case? thanks for your help!
Use it for a couple of months and everyone says your voice is muffled and can't hear you properly. This is the third one I've had and they all end up the same. Great at first but end up being rhe same at the end.

You should look at the Magpul cases. They have proven to be really good for me. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

The bend goes away after you install it. I'm guessing that it needs the slight bend to stay together.

I seen that griffin is making a catalyst case for the iPhone 6 and it looks amazing as well! would you recommend going back to the catalyst or the life proof? I am an avid fisherman so I am around water all the time.

I haven't seen an images for the Griffin Survivor + Catalyst yet...
Catalyst is shipping a waterproof case in the next month which should be pretty good. I was a big fan of their iPhone 5S case. I've got 2 other cases that are waterproof right now, the Dog & Bone Wetsuit and the Sedio Obex (both are better than the Fre in terms of screen sensitivity).

Thanks! yeah that catalyst case looks awesome and might go with that instead of the life proof case. would you recommend the catalyst over life proof? The Dog and bone wetsuit looks cool but I think I want a protected screen. I just checked out the Sedio Obex and it actually looks pretty nice! I am excited to see the review on it.
Midwestfishingbros For the 5S versions, I like the Catalyst over LifeProof. For the Wetsuit, there is a screen protector that's included with the case. With their design, I believe it's possible to use other screen protectors safely as well. The Obex is ok...the screen rainbows which drives me nuts.

Do you think the Fre is compatible with plastic screen protectors, like Spigen's Crystal Clear Protector?
I know Fre has a built in protector but I still want an extra layer of protection on my screen :)

+Khai Nguyen Nope. Waterproof cases fit a naked iPhone...anything that makes it thicker will compromise the case.

The only problem that I had with the case is the switch to silence the phone. Most of the time I have to press hard then move the switch.

Hi, since we can’t put any screws protector underneath the lifeproof case, can we put it on top of it? If so, can i use a tempered glass film or is it better to use one more flexible and thin? For me it is to have the possibility to get rid of a scratch on my screen case and maybe use an anti blue light film.

I bought the Life Proof case when I got my I Phone 6 from an ATT store. From day one there were problems with garbled voice with the phone.
I took the phone to ATT and they did a test... they found the case prevented clear voice transmission. I had to remove the case for proper sound transmission....now I am out $100 I paid for the case...Life Proof did send me a new case...but what good is a new case if the design problem isn't corrected? every one I communicated with described the same problem ...very choppy voice...frequently I would have to call on another phone so we could hold a conversation and understand what was being said. Any one else have this problem? Any comments would be appreciated!
A review for the 6/6s model i got one and the design in the inside and lightning portnis bigger the amazon cable just does'nt fit
Hi Aaron, do you think the current Lifeproof cases will fit on the iPhone 6S? According to Lifeproof they won't, but I guess that's just a marketing answer. Are the iPhones really that tight inside that 0,1mm difference will make the case unusable? Cheers

Eduardo Talamantes the protector is really good. If you mess it up somehow, lifeproof will send you a new case for $5

Hey! thanks for this. I just got my life proof fre case about a week ago and I am not that impressed... When I put it on speaker phone, the person on the other says I go in and out and they cannot hear me half the time :( Did you find this as well? I do not have any issues with the "rainbow" stuff on the front screen it looks like the lifeproof screen protector is half suctioned onto my phone making there look like there are huge air bubbles on the screen... frustrating! Should I return it and ask for a new one? Or are these two issue common for this case? thanks for your help!

Use it for a couple of months and everyone says your voice is muffled and can't hear you properly.
This is the third one I've had and they all end up the same. Great at first but end up being rhe same at the end.
