Dog and bone wetsuit is awesome. Everything Aaron mentions is spot on. I'd also like to mention their customer service is amazing. I assumed my case was defective and they promptly emailed me back and even provided pictures of what the case was supposed to look like in that particular area. I feel like I have a water proof otter box defender with no screen protector lol
I enjoyed your your video and appreciate your time and effort on every thing you do for us to be able to see pro's and con's on cases we don't have to spend our own money on. Have you done a test on witch ones are louder as far as the ear piece and speaker?
Very good comparison vid except you should have included info on the warranties. Warranty = longevity. If anything happens to your Lifeproof, there's hassle-free replacements. The same does not apply to the Catalyst.
My catalys Marsala case broke after 2 months the screen protector separated from the top therefore it's not waterproof. I emailed the company and did the warranty claim and they said that it was normal wear and tear and it's not covered under the warranty this upset me very much so I just ordered the lifeproof fre in purple I'm very excited to get it. But, I was very upset with the catalyst case
if you want to do some failure testing on lifeproof cases - my most common failure modes have been the touch ID sticker, and the apple viewing window on the back. the adhesives there just don't hold up to time (and my level of abuse). that said, their warranty department is great, but I think the cases should outlast the warranty period.
Sorry but the lifeproof fre for iPhone 6 isn't bad at all specially the screen protector and I have a glass screen protector on my phone idk what you mean I know the past versions were awful but not for the iPhone 6. Only thing I found as a flaw for the fre was the mute switch can't be accessed in this fre case. Not a big deal I just turn on assessing touch when I hit the home button 3 times. Other than that it's perfectly fine so far.
Thanks for your review. I work in dusty conditions, and want a case that will keep that dust off and out of my phone. I'm leaning toward the lifeproof free, but is there another better option? I highly value the smallest and slimmest case I can get while still having the protection. Thanks.
Could you be able to do a comparison and review on the mophie h2pro and the life proof fre power for iPhone 6 when they both get released. I don't know which to get
Ezekiel Alay I have a difficult time reviewing extremely cheap cases. I'd take more effort with a company that actually tries to put out a website rather than having all their products show up on re-seller sites.
Thanks for a wonderful review. I headed to your amazon link for the Catalyst but Pink was not listed there. So may need to purchase via another route. Sorry. Thanks again.
Never once dropped my life proof nuud iPhone 6 case but the charger door "tooth" miraculous broke within the first couple weeks of use. But life proof were very quick with the shipping and replacement case.
I have always used a LifeProof Free to go to water parks (iPhone 4s, 5s, and 6) in the past, and the phone always stayed dry. I never use the LifeProof as a daily case, only for wet, and I always use a Zagg glass screen protector. Now I have a 6s+. So, if water protection is most important, and I get the Catalyst, can I leave my Zagg glass protector on the iPhone 6s Plus? I read that the microphone is not protected with the Catalyst (at 9to5) and if that's true wont water damage the microphone? What do you recommend?
I checked the blog but I didn't see any new reviews as mentioned in the beginning. Are there any newer cases that change your opinion or have a better rating for iPhone?
What case would you recommend...? for example summer coming and water parks open and you wanna use your iPhone but you don't want it to get wet and you don't want to spend money on a case waterproof and a case daily use Which iphone 6 case would you use...?
As far as sound qualities for music and phone calls how is the catalyst vs the nud ive heard nud sound quality is very bad and that the mic barely picks up on anything durring calls??
Hi love your channel! Just wondering I just bought the rhinoshield bumper +front and back shields for everyday use, and I want to buy the catalyst for when I'm in the pool etc, no hardcore water use but still will be getting wet. Do you think I can keep the front and back screen protector shields on by rhinoshield when switching cases to the catalyst. This will be far less annoying when switching cases as taking these on and off is a pain, or do you think the catalyst will not be waterproof if these are left on? Thanking you from Australia 😄 eh!
First, thanks for the reviews. Bought myself a Catalyst case about a year ago. It's my second case for my iPhone 6. First one was a Survivor... For me a case has to protect my phone against dust, shocks and water while I'm working. Not only the first day, week or month but as long as possible. The survivor didn't protect against dust and water that long and wasn' t comfortable to use. The Catalyst is much more easy to put in and out off your pocket and more comfortable to use. But... It also isn't that dust and waterproof... I need to look out for a new case now... All reviews and test that I've seen are done with cases out off the box and that's ok to give you a first opinion. But what about the durability? I'd like to see reviews wich tell more about it after a month, six months, a year... Used in daily life of a builder, landscaper, surfer, ... Well that would give us THE best idea wich cases are the BEST. What do you think about that? 😊
The Catalyst wasn't dust and waterproof? Or the Survivor. I'd like to do reviews that tracked the long-term usage...its something I'm trying to figure out how to do economically.
+MobileReviewsEh The Survivor wasn't dust and (ofcourse) waterproof after a short time off use... The Catalyst isn't dustproof anymore and not waterproof at all ( five seconds off cleaning under water is too long to keep the phone dry). Have been using it for about a year now. I'm not abusing the case. It's always in my pocket while I'm at work, using it with clean hands. It stays always in the case. I'm always taking care of my stuff. It is expensive enough... When I have to buy a new case every year it'll become a very expensive phone.... Thanks for the reply.
Excuse me, I want to know what you think is the BEST case simply for protection from everything but water just shear protection no matter how bulky it is could you let me know what you think is the best if so thank you :D
thank you! I got a rhino shield and getting the dog and bone. I want a case that is all white or as white as possible. Like it has to be cute and do underwater filming and I want to be able to keep my rhino shield on. So I think I will go with the dog and bone or Obex...but I hate thick plastic protectors. Only thing on dog and bone is ppl say it's hard to bring up the bottom menu. I'm going to buy one and see. If it is good for bottom menu then it will be the perfect one for me. Even if it's bulkier that's ok as long as it fits in my purse =)
Can you address sound quality? My husband told me that the sound on my phone calls is terrible with the Lifeproof Nuud on my 6 plus. how about any of the other ones?
You can attach a wriststrap to the Catalyst. You can't for the Fre. Here's a comparison of the 2: www.mobilereviews-eh.ca/compare/2/47,25/catalyst-waterproof-vs-lifeproof-fre/
So I have a Fre and I noticed that the screen looks really grainy with my iPhone 6 in the case. is this what you meant by diffusing the screen, or is there a defect with my case's screen protector?
Could you help me choosing a waterproof case? I'm a bit undecided between the Seidio Obex, the Dog&Bone Wetsuit and the Bessmate (iPhone 6) Please give me your opinion Thanks
Ok so the Obex actually comes with a belt clip too correct ?? Can you get a belt clip for the catalyst?? I would like great drop protection and decent waterproof. Chances are I'm just trying to keep it from rain/and or a puddle drop.. Which one would you recommend?????
I'm not sure for the Catalyst. If you're using a 6s, you probably don't need a waterproof case. Apple added a seal on the inside of the case that improves the water resistance of the device.
+MobileReviewsEh Really appreciate the quick reply! I was not aware of that! I recently broke my otter box case (the belt clip)! I ordered the Ghostek 2.0 for it! Really hoping I like it! Just wanted some extra protection lol!
I like to play with my phone while I sit in the tub and I know the day will come that it slips from my hands. Would the nuud protect it in that case? Or would you go with the catalyst?
Over the Touch ID or the screen protector? The Touch ID membrane is very similar but hard to break. You can dent it but I took a needle to the membrane and it took a bit of effort to break. I'm not sure about the screen protector.
+MobileReviewsEh can you help me choose a slim case that offers 360 degree protection and is dust, water, and drop proof and has good sturdy openings to all poets that isn't the fireproof series
Here are all the waterproof iPhone 6 Plus cases I've reviewed. The Catalyst is best for the 6 Plus in my opinion. www.mobilereviews-eh.ca/waterproof-iphone-6-case-review-comparisons/
How do waterproof companies think about their design elements? No screen protector? "Well let's just get our iPhone screens covered in Chlorine and Salt!" I'm still not sure if the sapphire screen will discolor or scratch from the chlorine and salt.
It's a good question. The lack of screen protector is nice if you don't like the feeling of the plastic screen protectors that's common on other waterproof cases.
I have a IPhone 6S and the glass is cracked on the left bottom going up to the lower right side of the phone on a diagonal. Will that be a problem if I get a lifeproof Nuud? Only the glass is cracked
+Austin Sutherland I have a glass screen protector underneath so it spaces it out and isn't too bad to use, case has been great just a bummer the rubber edges started to peel off
This is way outdated, the Obex beats all of these cases. It's wayyyy thinner and lasts much longer in water and better drop tests. Check out EveryThingApplePro's review on them
David Der It took them 5 months to change the size of the LifeProof Fre flash cutout on the 5S so the updated door should be out around when the iPhone 6S comes out?
I have ms with extreme weakness in my hand & I drop my phone often what is the best I phone 6 plus case for durability & waterproof Plz let me know asap cause I need to get one right away thank you in advance...
How does the Marsala red catalyst case look like? Is it like a Light red or a more darker tone to it? I have a gold iPhone and I don't want to get the Marsala red case and it look to feminine ps I am a male 😂😂👌
I have the nuud for 5s and there a crack in the Touch ID ring but it will still be waterproof. Just don't crack the plastic protecting the O ring with water
As long as I have a screen protector and a slim case I'm fine and it has to be under $25. I don't care about any of those water proof or drop protected cases bc I'm not going to drop my phone over 5 feet or in water.
If you install it properly, it will work though sound coming from the iPhone is going to suffer. I personally would stick to a name brand since they've going through the certification process for waterproofing where cheaper cases just say they are.

Life proof nuud is aweful..the cover of the PowerPort is so easily broken... Thumbs down! Dog and bone is a so much better case in either built quality and touch/feel!
not really..well..the high edge made access of the bottom fuction key abit..weired..but at least the case is proven to be tougher/more durable than the nuud when it comes to the hands of my two kids..lol
take a look this cases !!! PUNKCASE SPIKESTAR IPHONE 6 IP68 WATERPROOF CASE" let me know when you do the video for this and let them know that i tould you lol
Excuse me, I want to know what you think is the BEST case simply for protection from everything but water just shear protection no matter how bulky it is could you let me know what you think is the best if so thank you :D
Wished you did a review on the new Catalyst iPhone 6 plus case.
I don't know why but these videos you make are very entertaining!
Nikolas Schwendeman Thanks!
Lunatik Aquatic! Can't wait for that review as well as the Lunatik 360! So excited!
Jared Crotser "Eeeeeeeee"
Great video Aaron. You really deserve more attention and support for all the hard work in your channel. Good luck !
Kevin Dong Thanks!
Dog and bone wetsuit is awesome. Everything Aaron mentions is spot on. I'd also like to mention their customer service is amazing. I assumed my case was defective and they promptly emailed me back and even provided pictures of what the case was supposed to look like in that particular area. Got the catalyst very nice. Thanks for the review.
thank you for all your reviews I'm obsessed with them. they really help thanks!
I have the catalyst and I don't really seem any reduced functionality
Sweet!
I would say a day to day, I have had it on my iPhone 6 for a month and it has been great so far
Elliot Roe he said that you are going to loose a lifeproof case if you are going snorkelling.Maybe clumsy people like him would do that.
lol, I totally agree with you about them not progressing the Making of the fre. Also how they never change the built in screen protector! Great vid!!
Dylan Holcomb Phew, I'm not the only one.
Another great review mate
SLY01S Thx!
Very good comparison vid except you should have included info on the warranties. Warranty = longevity. If anything happens to your Lifeproof, there's hassle-free replacements. The same does not apply to the Catalyst.
btw the Catalyst fits (almost) perfectly in the Obex belt clip
Can you do a review on the lunatik aquatic?
Can you test out the cheaper cases and see if they work ? Cases lower that £5
At 4:10 he said they all stay together as a piece flys off the case.
catalyst vs obex ?
shock protection or bulk is no concern.looking for good water protection.
My catalys Marsala case broke after 2 months the screen protector separated from the top therefore it's not waterproof. But, I was very upset with the catalyst case
How has the lifeproof fre held out with time?
if you want to do some failure testing on lifeproof cases - my most common failure modes have been the touch ID sticker, and the apple viewing window on the back. the adhesives there just don't hold up to time (and my level of abuse). that said, their warranty department is great, but I think the cases should outlast the warranty period.
You should look at the waterproof ghostek atomic case. Sorry if I spelled it wrong.
Sorry but the lifeproof fre for iPhone 6 isn't bad at all specially the screen protector and I have a glass screen protector on my phone idk what you mean I know the past versions were awful but not for the iPhone 6. Toni M and also they replace them if you somehow break them.
Thanks for your review. I work in dusty conditions, and want a case that will keep that dust off and out of my phone. I'm leaning toward the lifeproof free, but is there another better option? I highly value the smallest and slimmest case I can get while still having the protection. Thanks.

lifeproof gives you a screen protector with the nuud
Can you review the Lunatik Taktik 360 for iPhone 6?
Can you review the SupremeUX iPhone 6 case?
Ezekiel Alay I have a difficult time reviewing extremely cheap cases. I'd take more effort with a company that actually tries to put out a website rather than having all their products show up on re-seller sites.
Great video! Helped me for sure
Thanks for a wonderful review. I headed to your amazon link for the Catalyst but Pink was not listed there. So may need to purchase via another route. Sorry. Thanks again.

AZMATIK Thanks for the comment!
Could you do a review on the Skinit waterproof case?
Dr Hau5 Sent them a request.
I actually just recieved one of their cases and it is very very bad... Beware.
If your looking for a way to put a wrist strap on your Nüüd or Frë loop it through the headphone cover. That's what I do
But if that comes loose, your phone is screwed
I wish there was a waterproof case for alcatel one touch
So which one do you think is the best the catalyst or the frē if you had to choose?
Awesome Reviews Thank you!!!

and ... witch one is the best to record something under water ?
That dot at the bottom right :) clean ur lense Aaron !!!
I was thinking the same thing!!
what would be a good case for a pool or the shower
Probably whatever case I mention in this video?
Was the sound (on the speaker - listening to music or using speakerphone) better with the nuud or catalyst??
Great I'm going with lifeproof nuud iphone 6 plus
DaSandMan42 Sounds good!
As far as sound qualities for music and phone calls how is the catalyst vs the nud ive heard nud sound quality is very bad and that the mic barely picks up on anything durring calls??

Hey Aaron, cool if you can do a review on the Pelican Marine case? :)
I am planning on it.
Excuse me, I want to know what you think is the BEST case simply for protection from everything but water just shear protection no matter how bulky it is could you let me know what you think is the best if so thank you :D
big downside with the open face/no screen protector cases is that cracks in your screen will obviously stop it being waterproof
So if we have a glass screen protector on our phone we have to take it off in order for the case to be waterproof?
+Fashion Nation Yes.
thank you! I got a rhino shield and getting the dog and bone. I want a case that is all white or as white as possible. How did it work out?
Can you address sound quality? My husband told me that the sound on my phone calls is terrible with the Lifeproof Nuud on my 6 plus. how about any of the other ones?
so would you say that for summer out of catalyst and Fre it is better to buy catalyst??
You can attach a wriststrap to the Catalyst. You can't for the Fre. Here's a comparison of the 2: www.mobilereviews-eh.ca/compare/2/47,25/catalyst-waterproof-vs-lifeproof-fre/
I know that but I don't really need it
which one compares in size with Catalyst...Im looking for a belt clip and Catalyst doesnt have one yet
I'm going on holiday, I want a case that would indefinitely allow me to take photos underwater, mainly in the pool. What do you recommend??
Which ever case I recommend in the video?
great thank you, awesome video! catalyst best one to take photos underwater?
In my opinion yes but be warned, all waterproof cases generally reduce the sound quality of your iPhone inside the case.
thats okay, i only want it to take photos underwater
If you unscrew the headphone plug on the nuud and slip knot a wrist strap around the dongle can you screw the plug back in?
+Joshua Schecter (DANGER RC) You could.
Thanks, just popped into my head thinking about getting a nuud. Love your videos best reviewer on TH-cam by far.
So I have a Fre and I noticed that the screen looks really grainy with my iPhone 6 in the case. is this what you meant by diffusing the screen, or is there a defect with my case's screen protector?
does a privacy screen work with the nuud?
+RMGMoney If its cut to fit the touchable area perfectly.
Which case is best in call quality
Faisal Raza I couldn't say, they all really suck.
Did the touch screen for the catalyst work under water?? With the nuud, you cannot use it while it's underwater. Touch screen does not work. Thanks.
The touchscreen does not work in any waterproof case that I've come across.
How long did it take for your Catalyst case to come in? I've been waiting 2 weeks for mine and it still has not come.
i want to get the nuud for 6plus yet the nuud has no screen protector is it still good with being water proof cause i really need my phone water proof
Could you help me choosing a waterproof case? I'm a bit undecided between the Seidio Obex, the Dog&Bone Wetsuit and the Bessmate
(iPhone 6) Please give me your opinion
Thanks
Pretty sure the video covers my opinion.
+MobileReviewsEh pretty sure he asked for your opinion again
Or you can use a zib log bag and slide your phone in there cx
I would love to see a do a review of the R-JUST IP68 iphone 6case let me know if you would like to do this review or not thanks!
can i use that in sea? and turn camera?
Yes but the touchscreen doesn't work underwater.
I got Dog and Bone, don't recommend it at all... I will definitely look at a new case. Will wait for Lunatik review then go from there.
***** Thanks for the comment!
I like to play with my phone while I sit in the tub and I know the day will come that it slips from my hands. Would the nuud protect it in that case? Or would you go with the catalyst?
+Erika Stewart Any chance we could see you playing with your phone in the tub? Would love to see a 'Nuud' review!
did tethys send you the case yet?
Glibzer Tethys?
sold under ultraproof on amazon :) www.amazon.com/iPhone-Waterproof-Tethys-SUBMERGE-Series/dp/B00NTH1X5W
Catalyst is great! 🙌
Do they all use as cheap/soft of plastic as the Lifeproof FRE? I literally damaged it with my fingernail, using very little force.
Over the Touch ID or the screen protector? The Touch ID membrane is very similar but hard to break. You can dent it but I took a needle to the membrane and it took a bit of effort to break. I'm not sure about the screen protector.
+MobileReviewsEh can you help me choose a slim case that offers 360 degree protection and is dust, water, and drop proof and has good sturdy openings to all poets that isn't the fireproof series
the best cober approves water for iPhone 6 plus
Here are all the waterproof iPhone 6 Plus cases I've reviewed. The Catalyst is best for the 6 Plus in my opinion. www.mobilereviews-eh.ca/waterproof-iphone-6-case-review-comparisons/
I got the life roof nüüd iPhone 6
case and the gasket on the charge port broke did it happen to you too?
Email or call lifeproof and they'll replace it. I've heard of problems with that, but after that lifeproof is nice and hassle-free to replace it
שחר שמואלי Not to me but Will Huddleston is right, contact them for a replacement.
How do waterproof companies think about their design elements? No screen protector? "Well let's just get our iPhone screens covered in Chlorine and Salt!" I'm still not sure if the sapphire screen will discolor or scratch from the chlorine and salt.

I have a IPhone 6S and the glass is cracked on the left bottom going up to the lower right side of the phone on a diagonal. Will that be a problem if I get a lifeproof Nuud? Only the glass is cracked
It might not be but I wouldn't take that chance.
I have 5 nuudes and they suck the latch ALWAYS breaks, if went to the fre and its so much better
+Austin Sutherland Thx for the comment.
My fre was great for 6 months and then the entire rubber surround on the screen side just started to peel off
+Australia's Biggest Bass Channel I just got one and I love it so far
+Australia's Biggest Bass Channel I find it hard to get used to the screen protector thought, how do you feel about it?
+Austin Sutherland I have a glass screen protector underneath so it spaces it out and isn't too bad to use, case has been great just a bummer the rubber edges started to peel off
This is way outdated, the Obex beats all of these cases. It's wayyyy thinner and lasts much longer in water and better drop tests. Check out EveryThingApplePro's review on them
If only they fix the tab on the lightning port door on the nuud
David Der It took them 5 months to change the size of the LifeProof Fre flash cutout on the 5S so the updated door should be out around when the iPhone 6S comes out?
Ya, I wasn't holding my breath for the update. Sadly I will still buy another one of them. They are good cases otherwise.
if an iphone is bent wont it prevent screen protector-less cases from keeping your iphone safe
+Carter Bixler Probably.
thank you so much for responding to a comment on an older video. I love your videos.
Can you do a review lifeproof nuud vs otter box defender, because I want to know which one to get
Benjamin Yurovsky Different types of cases...I'd go with the Nuud.
I have ms with extreme weakness in my hand & I drop my phone often what is the best I phone 6 plus case for durability & waterproof
Plz let me know asap cause I need to get one right away thank you in advance...
+JtxDaDon I'm pretty sure whatever I say in the video will answer your question.
Thank you, :)
Sorry forgot to mention for iphone 6!
How does the Marsala red catalyst case look like? Is it like a Light red or a more darker tone to it? I have a gold iPhone and I don't want to get the Marsala red case and it look to feminine ps I am a male 😂😂👌
Daniel Salazar It's an odd color combination between the red and the gold. It doesn't seem feminine but it doesn't look good together.
I'm scared that my phone will crack in the nuud case that's my only hesitation does anyone have any advise

Jk 👍 for the great work
Basem Botros Surprise!
Life proof fre isn't pronounced free it is more like frā
Like Fray?
I want a waterproof case so bad, but I'm scared if it doesn't work,.. 😳😁 a high Risk to take
If you install it properly, it will work though sound coming from the iPhone is going to suffer. I personally would stick to a name brand since they've going through the certification process for waterproofing where cheaper cases just say they are.
So I have to make sure that someone that is professional on putting the waterproof case on my phone, like at my sprint company store.
Ooh ok. Thanks lol
Surprise surprise

Life proof nuud is aweful..the cover of the PowerPort is so easily broken... Thumbs down! Dog and bone is a so much better case in either built quality and touch/feel!
+Will Yang Thx for the comment. The massive size difference doesn't bother you? Or the really high edges?
not really..well..the high edge made access of the bottom fuction key abit..weired..but at least the case is proven to be tougher/more durable than the nuud when it comes to the hands of my two kids..lol
