Would it be too difficult for twitch to make you aware of such things before you start streaming? You shouldn’t have to play the guessing game and take a gamble. Just be up front Twitch

quick note: for 'regular' streamers they save for up to 7 days, here's some info from the VOD settings: *Store past broadcasts* Automatically save broadcasts for up to 7 days (14 days for Affiliates, 60 days for Partners, Turbo and Prime users) hope this helped anyone confused! ^^
Really great video! I was busy trying to download it using external software, websites, everything! It kept not saving the entire thing, not being playable/compatible with Mac, etc, I was considering screen recording it at this point, which would be so annoying because it’s 4 hours long so I wouldn’t be able to use my laptop during that time, this is great, I just clicked download so not sure if it works yet but I’m confident it will, especially since it’s built into twitch. Great video, love how direct, clear, and open you were! Thank you!

You can download it to whatever resolution you streamed at. So if you stream at 1080p then the file should be 1080p

If you have the save past broadcasts button enabled and it's still not saving, then I'd recommend contacting twitch
