  • Hi everyone! I thought I would share with you a look back at Learn To Play over the years seeing I officially close my doors this Friday, February 18th. I started my home daycare back in June 2018 and went by the name Julie's Learn To Play Home Daycare. I opened with 3 kids and had signed up 3 babies that weren't even born yet. I quickly grew and by November my sister had joined me full-time. Over the years we have had so much fun creating an atmosphere that children would thrive in. I gave myself a 3 year time frame in which I wanted to open a commerical childcare center and last March, 2021 I signed a lease on a 4000 sq foot building and begin my journey towards opening my very own center! As many of you know this past year has been full of ups and downs and in just 7 short weeks I will open the doors to Learn To Play Childcare Center. A dream come true. I hope that I have inspired many along the way with tips and tricks from my home daycare and look forward to doing the same with my center. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for not only following me on this journey but for your overwhelming support along the way!

Your creativity, imagination, attention to detail, and love of children astound me. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. You need to write a book about setting up an in-home daycare and center. And all those creative curriculum. And you need to open many more centers. The kids were/are so lucky to be surrounded by such a fun, colorful, imaginative environment.

Julie, I just want to share this with you: "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning!" Mr. ROGERS.
Every time when I see your wonderful videos, reminds me of this great man with so much knowledge and love for children.
I wish you include Mr. Roger's quote in your parents handbook. Blessings!
