Wer erinnert sich nicht an die Kult-Soap aus den 80ern in der es sich ausnahmsweise mal nicht um Öl, sondern den roten und weißen Rebensaft drehte und in der die Matriarchin Angela Channing mit harter aber doch auf gewisse Art und Weise über das fiktive Tuscany-Valley in Kalifornien herrschte?

One of the most outstanding theme songs of all time. The Tuscany Valley looks like a beautiful place to live.
And close to San Francisco to boot--my second choice for a city to live in (NYC being my first)
Out of the BIG FOUR soaps that dominated the airwaves back in the 80's ("Dallas", "Dynasty", "Knots Landing" & "Falcon Crest"), FC is often the one people forget about.
It had all the ingredients for a primetime soap (affairs, betrayals, murder, intrigue, suspense) yet never attained the same level of attention that its rivals did.
But it was a success and whilst it never quite had the glitz and glam of "Dallas" & "Dynasty" or the same level of bed hopping that "Knots Landing" provided, it was an entertaining series.
Worst theme song of the four though.

bill conti is one of the best tv and movie composers of the 20th century the rocky movies north and south escape to victory and falcon creast are pure gold they dont make thems like that nowadays
I think that bill conti also did the opening sequence to The Colbys. Henri Mancini was also brilliant, the pink panther, dragnet, then Nadia's theme that has been used for the young & the restless still after 51 years and although they changed the theme once, they went back to the original. Also Falcon Crest was very popular in the latin community because it showed folks that weren't in subservient roles. Lorenzo Lamas and Ana Alicia did kick the door open for future latin actors on Soaps.
People talked about Dallas, Dynasty and Knots Landing but this show was great too.
In Germany the People talked besides Dallas and Dynasty about Falcon Crest and Knots Landing was often forgotten. But all 4 are Great in there one way.
Man, that last season was nuts.

I used to love this when I was a kid because it reminded me of the movie themes that were around at that time like Superman. John Williams type stuff.
Thank you so much for making this video! Falcon Crest is one of my absolute favorite shows and the opening images and theme music were always amazing....until season 9. I don't know why they completely changed and ruined the theme music? My favorite is season 7, with the flying falcon that changes to the falcon crest.
Thanks for this, that s show had an amazing theme tune. One of the best for a soap opera in my opinion.

I remember that last season. Prime time soaps were dying and FC threw a lot at the wall checking to see what stuck. I mostly checked out after they killed off Melissa & brought back Ana Alicia as a look-alike
Prime time soaps ran their course in the late 1980's.
they keep trying to make a new one like the revamped Dynasty which lasted the longest somehow but most last one season and they are gone. I dont think most people are into knowing how the rich and upper middle class live on weekly TV show unless it is a reality show that is. Even though most of that is fake in order to get viewers.
I want to go back and live it all over again. We had the best TV shows back then and lived in the last of the best decades in America..it was the party of a life time and we lived it well. We had the best TV then. Falcon Crest, Dallas, Knots Landing, Dynasty to name a few and growing up we had, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and for the first time ever the motion pictures of, Star Wars, Star Trek, Superman, Close Encounters of the third kind, E.T., Poltergeist, Jaws, Friday the 13th, Aliens, (No not the ones being aloud to just walk into our country right now in 2023), Predator and many more… We also celebrated the bicentennial in the 70’s when the entire country celebrated it from Apr 1, 1975 - Jul 4, 1976. It was like the 4th of July every day. It was fantastic!.…it was such a better time to be alive in this county. We never had the problems that are here today. It was unheard of for kids being shot and men walking around dressed as women. It was the last of America and we were lucky to have experienced it.

That made him available for "Falcon Crest", which had begun in late 1981 and ended in May 1990. That was also a CBS-TV television series of one hour in length. I think that "Falcon Crest" had to be pure fantasy for Earl Hamner. That could be for anybody.
Earl Hamner had two Ideas and Created with these the Original unaired Pilot The Vintage Years. That Pilot was Developed by Robert L. McCullough, the Headwriter in the First 3 Seasons and with Earl Hamner together Lead of the Creative Team. As far as I know.

Great variations with the credits from season to season. But the last season was a huge change. I think the show tried to go a bit Twin Peaks in a effort to breathe new life into it. It didn't work.
Season 9 was terrible...in fact they killed Maggie was the end of the Show. ..and season 8 they killed Melissa was also a complete mistake...🙄
Ich finde das Intro von Falcon Crest gehört mit zu den besten überhaupt ,außer von Staffel 9 ,warum wurde für diese Staffel ein neues Theme eingespielt ?
Die neuen Produzenten wollten die ganze Serie umgestalten, nachdem die 8 Staffel schon schlecht beim Publikum ankam. In der 8 Staffel hat man immerhin das beste Theme neben dem Original, aber in der letzten haben sie dies bei der Neugestaltung der Serie total verhunzt. Die Produzenten wollten zu viel und die Serie wurde eingestellt.
Schade das es nur vier Staffeln bei RTL plus gibt. Wann gibt's die restlichen fünf?
My mother was addicted to this show since we lived very close to the Napa Valley. I liked it but hated Robert Foxworth gosh he was annoying. Loved Jane and Ana and Lorenzo.
I loved when they spoofed it with FRESNO with Carol Burnett as the matriarch of the local raisin empire LMFAO!!!! 🍇

I Love the Themes from Bill Conti very much, they reduces Disstress, especially these Dynasty, North & South and The Colbys.

The television show Falcon Crest from December 4, 1981 it has 22 episodes it has the cast including Jane Wyman Robert Foxworth Lorenzo Lamas William R. Moses Jaime Rose Abby Dalton and Susan Sullivan. But the only thing is Lorenzo Lamas he was on the television show Renegade he is a wonderful actor of who he really is

After, Robert Foxworth & William R.Moses left the show it became very woman heavy in the opening credits. You have Richard, Lance & near the end Chao-Li. You think they would have added one of the big daytime soap guys to add some testosterone but nope. LOL!!!

Ist euch mal aufgefallen, dass Bill Conti sich beim Soundtrack ziemlich deutlich vom Ruf eines Wanderfalken hat inspirieren lassen? Richtung cool, nach fast 40 Jahren hab ich das erst entdeckt.
Davon verstehe ich nichts, aber der Soundtrack ist klasse...

Season 9 was terrible and why on earth did they change the theme it was a great theme and they wrecked it .
