Well hello there, thanks for popping on by to see your Uncle Spurt and the Pixel 9! Full review hopefully coming in a couple of weeks, but my in-depth Pixel Pro XL video is already live, and my (dinky) Pixel Pro review is going up on Aug 28. Let us know what you reckon of these Googley blowers below, big love xx
i love your videos, what's the best phone offers in UK? i still have my p30 pro but its finally starting to go on me battery etc. i would love some recommendations. Cheers
You do not get the Google One AI Premium 12 month subscription included with the Google Pixel 9 at all.! Its only included with the pro models and the fold.!
I'm switching from Samsung S24+ to Google Pixel 9. I've been waiting for Google to make a phone I'm finally interested in. The base model is a good introduction to the Pixel lineup and I'll probably upgrade to a Pro model next year if I like the overall experience.
Please wait as it's really just a Pixel 8 in new clothes. It throttles to 40% of its CPU capacity after just 5 minutes of any intensive task like transfering data, downloading, uploading, gaming...an ESPECIALLY doing these if charging. Wait for the 10.
You paid £1000 for a phone that came out this year, and you're already switching to another phone with the same or even lower spec? Why are you just wasting money like that?
@@dtincworldnews8922 Just to clarify, I'm not hating on the Pixel 9, it looks like a great phone. I'm asking why the dude wants to already upgrade after he bought a brand new phone that has better specs...
I returned my pixel 9 porcelain… the software and OS was actually really nice and refreshing, however, the phone heats up from just watching yt, it gets dirty and smudgy fast, screen scratches easily. Ill wait for the 2025 models before trying again. I really like the OS and pictures!
when Google stop using screens with PWM at 240hz I will buy one , can't use those headache inducing screens , which is a shame because I really like the new design
@@Oliver-cv6pv Samsung sometimes causes an issue for me , iPhone are at 480hz which is still problematic , so I'm currently using OnePlus 12 which has over 2000hz and I seem to be able to use it without issues for me
For the tips and tricks of the next Android version I really hope that you use the 8,. Apart from the print sensor after this review I feel like the 8 is ahead of it's time and deserves a revisit though am still in love with the 7
I think most, at least I always do, a case for protection. Why not integrate that or deliver with it. Still pissed that my Pixel 4a, great size, is not supported anymore while it is still very capable.
10 series will probably look like the 9 series. It is rare for phone manufacturers to redesign on a yearly basis just like how Apple releases the same looking iphones every year.
Do you think this is worth $300 more than the Pixel 8a? Not seeing much to justify the price difference. Of course, I still love my Barely Blue 4a so maybe I'll just hold onto that until the Pixel 10s and the Tensor G5. Thoughts?
I've still got my 4a as a back up device, I love it ! I'd love them to remake this device based on the 4a platform and design, but updated in certain areas IE an IP rating etc bit like Apple did with the SE
Bigger and brighter screen, better camera, ultrasonic fingerprint, newer processor, bigger battery, charges around 30% faster, more water resistant, better design. I upgraded from the 7 Pro and even from that it's an improvement
Google is absolutely in their prime. They took a page out of Apple on the hardware design but made software better than Apple for the first time in a while. I'm a huge Apple fan and will admit that this is the first time I truly wanted a Pixel.
Great News! Our beloved Nokia Lumia HMD Skyline had just received its latest software build with more fixes and perks. The latest build allows 4K video using selfie cam. However. The detox mode is not available yet as of writing. The latest software update is ON.

please make a camera comparision between pixel 9 and 8pro . As 8 pro cost less than 9 and has video boost too. will google provide video boostfor pixel 9 in future updates
Hey all, what do you think of longevity of the P9 [without] the vapor chamber? I'm not a gamer or streamer, but I'd like to shoot an occasional 4k video without setbacks. If I get the 9, planning on keeping it until the 10 comes out and goes on sale. I'm no engineer, but the vapor chamber seems prone to leakage and failure under a variety of conditions. I wish they could design a more efficient heat sink instead.
Is you taking tbe actual piss right now, this standard model is nearly as expensive as the 6 Pro and the 7 Pro from a couple of years back, what's actually happening with Google man!?
GREED!!! Google doesn't care if Android enthusiast buy Pixel 9 they're not Google's target audience, Google wants iPhone buyers. Google doesn't care about touchdowns anymore they're just trying for interceptions now.
The Pixel 8 pro would be a better buy price wise. 8 pro has less rounded corner, no sharp iphone edges, larger display with higher ppi, similar cameras, etc for much less.
Agreed. I can’t stand the sharp edges and I hate how reviewers are gushing over it (because they have been conditioned by years of daily driving iPhones to believe that sharp edges means 'premium').
@@michaelball93 The edges were the first thing I noticed when I held the new 9 pro. This doesn't feel great. I understand the design is to attract Iphone users over to the pixel, but I'm not sure if pixel or android users will sit with this design. It just needs a magic island :)
This applies to every phone though where it's better to buy the previous year's phone when a new one comes out because there aren't enough changes to justify the price of the new phone when you can buy the previous phone for a lot cheaper.
@@MarcoTooFly I'm relating more to the design, screen size, feel and also due to the amount of software upgrades pixel receives. The sharp edges and round corners are step backwards or a step towards the the iphone. If another phone has 3 or 4 major upgrades, that would already be reduced to 2 or 3 now. This is all subjective tho.
It's a good phone but definitely get it on sale. Not worth anywhere near the full price especially when only 256 GB is still the maximum amount of storage. Shame only the Pro models go above that and have a higher premium.
