      Im just trying to know exactly of what material are those train tracks made of because sea water is súper corrosive and even good ol steel doesnt last very long when exposed to it

    • @dddmemaybe
      @dddmemaybe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Sea train would be more practical if the track was just a solid, single super thick fiber line(like 5 feet+ diameter thick) that normal-ish super boats in a chain use to directly travel lol.

    Tekking101 what about the most important place in the One Piece world... The Briss Kingdom. A place so great it was only mentioned once and the only known inhabitant were a crew that died 200 years ago, there is so much to talk about.

    • @dr.d4025
      @dr.d4025 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just looked up the chapter that Briss is mentioned. (Vol 24, chapter 219) aand.. There is honestly nothing interessting to talk about it. It was not mentioned by the crew, as you stated. The crew of the ship that fell from a sky island was from the Briss Kingdom in the south blue. aand that is basically everything we know about it. A random kingdom in the south blue. A ship that traveled the grand line 200 years ago, and was knocked into the heavens. The ship/expedition is worthy to talk about a bit. (so 30min tekking video). but the kingdom itself... we only know that they covered their teeth in tar, like many other people in the south blue. thats it. that is all the information tekking could go on. A country that exists, and had an official ship travel the world 200 years ago.

    3:30 Yo Tekking, I re-watched Water7 recently and I recall either Tom or Kokoro explaining that what kept the Sea Monster away from the train was the noise the wheels made on the railtracks (because they were made in a specific metal). I guess that's why ships wouldn't be able to replicate it ! :D

    Speaking of Happa... what he did was a good thing and a reminder of something we often forget.. the Strawhats are largely just kids before the time skip.. like, Chopper is a teen but emotionally and mentally much closer to a child, Usopp is a teen from a small town of maybe a few hundred, Luffy is a teen with insane ambition and probably the second most life experience of the original crew.. Nami is a traumatized young teen forced to age and mature beyond her years, Zoro is a slightly older teen that might be physically and emotionally mature compared to the others but he's still mentally immature. Sanji is the same deal..
    15-19 is still kids! Kids taking on entire countries and sailing the world alone..
    Before Robin it was literally a group of kids with huge glaring gaps in their experiences and knowledge..
    That Usopp split was heartbreaking because it's literally a kid trying to save a ship he is convinced is alive and no one will believe him, trapped on the other side of the world from his home with no hope or way of ever returning alive. That's a horrifying thought.
    That kind man reminded us of their humanity and youth and showed that (like Merry) none of them would have made it much further without help. The threats were growing at an absurd rate, help and support was getting further apart and fewer in number. The Straw Hats are incredible, but we can't forget all of the people who have helped them along the way!

    The tracks for the sea train actually could work, but it would have to have a much more robust system. Metal can bend a small amount without losing its structure, if you look at the Golden Gate Bridge, the metal that makes up that bridge moves around alot. The only real issue here is how freaking expensive it would be to maintain a track like that. You would have to inspect the tracks constantly, Constantly replace large parts of it, and on top of all of that, even if you managed to save most of the materials removed by recycling them, you would have to be importing a massive amount of material to do it.

    I had a question and figured I'd ask it here.
    How do ships navigate the area where the Tom runs? We saw the SH Crew run aground on the rails.. it damaged the ship and stopped them dead from top speed.
    If the rails connect a series of islands, how do ships navigate the waters without hitting the rails? If the islands were all in a line, it would be impossible to cross, and you might have to go around 3-4 islands just to get by. If they're in a loop of some kind (the likely explanation based on what we see) then no ship could enter the ring or exit? You either stay inside the loop, or outside the loop? You couldn't cut straight across to another island, you'd have to go all the way around, or if you live inside the loop you can never leave?
    Are there gaps? Gates?
    We see loads of shots of the tracks and they're always close to the surface...
    So... how the hell do ships not constantly smash into it? There is either a huge ship graveyard under the rails, or the rails get damaged almost daily..
    My only best guess is maybe if you cross slowly? But that would likely still damage your rudder... maybe there are bits that dip lower and act as gates and in those sections the train slows down and chugs through the deeper water for a bit?
    Any theories or answers are appreciated.

  • @DanteYewToob
    @DanteYewToob 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    About the anachronisms, I always figured that they weren't anachronisms at all.
    I just always assumed that the pirate ship lifestyle just stuck around because it's a water planet and everything is so scattered. Worldwide innovation is very difficult when communicating is almost impossible.. so I figured that once pirate ships and that stuff cake about, it just kinda hung around for hundreds of years. Technology in other areas advanced, but because the ships work, why bother? Oil and fossil fuels are probably hard to come by and (at the beginning) are barely any more efficient than sails, so no one ever bothered to invent speedboats. Why mess with something that works.

    Well amphibious tanks exist... they're giant metal boxes with "wheels" that can drive over water. Granted they wouldn't be able to handle waves in the open sea.

    Wasn't it said at the start of the grand line that daylight island existed? Just like summer, winter spring, and fall islands existed, so did islands that were always daytime and islands that were always night-time.

    Tekking I still think it’s funny that the straw hats who were actually going to Waters 7 and met Granny Kokuro, I apologize if I butchered the spelling, wiped the fact she’s a mermaid from their memories and counted kaime as the first mermaid they ever met. Also the judge who was the one who was in charge of the trial for Tom was actually one of the few characters from the world government who I like because of not really showing the Absolute Justice indoctrination as all the other judges more than likely have

  • @Broockle

    Would be hilarious if the black hole under Enies Lobby and the never ending Daylight were actually both caused by the same incident.
    It was a Clash of an awakened user of the Pica Pica no mi and the Yami Yami no mi ;D
    Tho then that would also mean there's a giant black hole under Enies lobby and it's slowly but surely annihilating the entire ocean..... which in contrast with Water7 sinking doesn't reeeeaally make sense....
    There's also the shape of the island that doesn't make any sense. The Zushi zushi no mi could explain it by making the island permanently weightless. Adunno lol

    From what I know, gasoline is very expensive in Japan. Trains are very popular in Japan. If you look up the Japan railroad system you will discover that it is one of the best in the world and the japanese know it and they are proud of it. I think that is the reason trains are often used in anime.

    As an actual (economic) geographer I have no problem with calling a the sea train geography. I mean, it is an infrastructual facility that provides connection between different spatial entities. It is as gegraphical as it gets.

    The only way that Enies Lobby can be always daytime in realistic terms is the North Pole of the planet being positioned where Enies Lobby is. I suppose that also explains the hole since the water at that exact spot completely evaporated and ends up floating in the upper atmosphere before it drops down as rain. As to how it happened? Perhaps it was the Pika Pika no Mi causing the planet to position itself to the brightest light source in relation to where the user was standing. Makes me wonder if there is an area of the One Piece world where it's never daytime. Did the Thriller Bark arc take place in that kind of area?
