I wonder what happend to Tubbs Tarbell. After he wanders off from the broadcast station, I wonder if it's a metaphor for moving on, or finding peace in dying, my personal headcannon is that he quite literally moved on, went to be with everybody else like we see in that bar, and they're all happy to see him and they're all proud he's moved on from the Radio station, after, in his own words more or less, he's spent more time there than he should. I think the ending where everything is decrepit could be explained away by the idea that, yeah, maybe this all happened 30, 40, maybe 50 years ago, but he *did* move on and find them again. what we saw now was just the ultimate ending, doesn't mean tubbs didn't get *his* happy ending though.
Speaks to my soul so much hard to explain on how it makes me feel but I have so much people to be grateful for who has showed me the very peaceful positive loving and respectful wisdom messages in music and ways of the world makes me feel so good just like tubs says the music made him feel love you Tubbs Tarbell 💕
I still think that Twenty Long Years (from Long Lost) is sung or is atleast telling the story of Tubbs ere. It talks about gambling too and remembrance, just as themes of Tubbs.
What I wouldn't give to have a glass (or 3) of Boot Heel w/ Tubbs... he's just the best.
