I just got off a session running this with randoms and it doesn't seem to be too bad, as the randoms that I played with generally coordinated well, getting off at objectives then returning together once it's finished & the samples gathered. Then again, it was only with 2 different groups and 95% of the time I was driving for the team (though it allowed me to direct the rest of the team to whichever objectives I want in the order I want).
massive pro tip for drivers. Use the shift and control keys (idk the controller binding but it should show on screen) to manually shift gears. This lets you leave your car in 1st or 2nd gear permanently which helps you control your speed and prevents the constant fishtailing this thing likes to do. It's especially helpful going around lots of corners or rough terrain

Never got to play around with the buggy in the first game, but if I remember right, all vehicles were still deployed via dropship. Glad to see Helldivers 2 finally gets a space Jeep like so many games that came after Halo had!
Helldivers is PEAK! I fucking love this game! The devs should be proud as hell for this masterpiece! It really is filling the void that Halo left behind and superseding it! HELL YEAH XD
Tip for anyone who wants to drive: First Gear when negotiating rough terrain. Low speed, but you will climb much faster. You are also much less likely to roll it over. Second Gear if you're going flat out. Neutral and brake if you want to park and suppress with the LMG.
Happy Car Day! Did some testing with friends yesterday, shields work, you can reload backpack/machine guns while in the car It is tankier than it looks too
With the illuminate resembling the covenant slightly (and the flood if you take the voteless into count) and the new FRV literally being a warthog. Helldivers has become more halo than modern halo has…
Need an answer because I can’t be on for a while, can I use previous vehicle patterns like the jungle camo on this or is it exclusively the separate one in urban legends rn

Love the FRVs! Too bad randoms don't seem to understand how to use them. About 80% of the time, people either avoid the FRV entirely when I call it, or when we see an enemy they hop out of the HMG instead of using it.
Reminds me of the Battlefield 2 buggy drop feature introduced in the 2006 Armored Fury DLC. Great tool for games with large open maps - and ignored by DICE for all Battlefield games after Battlefield 2.

There's no room for seatbelts in DEMOCRACY!!
Always loved Halo soundtrack and cinematography... though as a PC player I have been made familiar with allied and enemy dropships by Renegade first.

5 seat huh? Is this fore shadowing??
What if they add the plane as a stratagem? Would be cool to see dogfights in the air between helldivers, automatons, illuminate and the bugs
This makes me so happy !
