Myth is only myth until evidence is found that proves it is a historical fact. So many of my childhood myths are now part of history. So keep challenging the status quo on those things because more often then not they are proven to be wrong.
The way i see it, the avatars of vishnu is just representation of man in various times in history. Kind of evolution. When Ram was there it was pinnacle of human excellency. Mostly everybody trusted others...Meaning most humans were virtuous. But after that as tech evolved, they became deceit like Krishna (In a good way...Only then you can survive) . Which we still are since it is kali yug. Before Ram we were hunter gatherer like Parashuram,before that short people who were the first type of humans, and before that mostly animals and fish
