Carlsen's attack was so smooth, karjacked his opponent before Karjakin knew what was happening. Who ever said Carlsen can't attack! He's a deadly calculating monster.
I love maneuvering moves like Rb1 and Bc2. Not anxiously attacking, but assembling and shaping the army. Carlsen plays very attractive chess in my opinion. His creates a "clean" feeling with the shape of his pieces, like a football side maintaining their shape.
As someone who is getting back into chess, I enjoy the games of the past world champions. I'm more interested in the analysis rather than the players involved.
Very instructive mating attack by Carlsen -- mass your pieces against the opposing king, eliminate the king's defenders (making sacrifices if necessary), and attack relentlessly.
Hi Mato i really appreciate your videos, they helped me a lot... As i know you are Croatian, i suggest you make some videos in Croatian language because there are a lot of people from ex Yugoslav countries that don't understand English, they will have a lot more views. Have a nice day :)
Hi Mato, I have been enjoying your chess videos since long time now they are quite informative with added flavor of humor. Could you please upload more games won by black...
Hi Mato! Love your videos, been watching a long time. I have a request: Can you please state the intention behind more of the moves being played? Sometimes you go through 7 or 8 moves quickly and I don't understand why the moves are being chosen. I learn a lot from these short explanations. Thanks!
It's the 'sicilian defence' - as reply to the 'kings pawn game'. Since blacks 1st move defines the sicilian (mostly) all variants are named sicilian-... (sicilian-najdorf; sicilian-dragon a.s.o.). To name whites opening after the 1st move would only make sense if the 1st move was special enough (1.d6 = Miese's opening).
1:37 Think mato should have explained why not knight takes pawn, instead of moving the queen, i know the reason, but mato should have explained to everyone
+MatoJelic LoL... I request you mato.. Pls most Some Game of Rubinstine and Bottvinik. They Are Best Postional Player..and We would like to learn from him..:)

3:25, ..f6 is the move I considered, but two other masters online consider that ..g5 is better because of less damage to the pawn structure.

A beautiful game by Magnus, worthy of a world champion. Alekhine would have been proud...
Beautiful game by both. Carlsen seems to look a little deeper, though. Thanks for a fine analysis - again, Mato the Jester :)
Great one, Mato!
Great game, Mato. Exciting
Mato! Carlsen vs Aronian in Reykjavik, Iceland 2015. Please...
Wonderful game and commentary.

Hey mato! nice video, like always.. I think pushing the d pawn at 7:38 was also playable, or maybe taking pawn with rook after queen to g6
Wow! Mato, so smart presentation
wow, Carlsen has played like the carlsen we know this time. He just simply dominated the game, what an amazing player.

I wonder if Karjakin will play the Sicilian in the world champion...should be interesting to see every game in November
Thanks for the transcription and wonderful commentary. :)
Sorry guys I'm pretty new to chess. At 5:00 why Qf3 instead of Queen takes pawn?
Then Nxe4, and Queen is under attack
The Alapin scores yet another point. Love these anti-Sicilian wins
Osum Game ...
Thanks Mato...:)

Mato, You have more games between Carlsen vs Tal?
carlsen vs tal?
Fun game. Thanks Mato.
Plz some Tal games :)
hey Mato you forgot to mention what kind of opening white played? or is it called sicillian for both white and black?
It's the 'sicilian defence' - as reply to the 'kings pawn game'. Since blacks 1st move defines the sicilian (mostly) all variants are named sicilian-... (sicilian-najdorf; sicilian-dragon a.s.o.). wait, 1. d3 is miese's for white. d6 for black.. ok i understand now.. some white openings are too simple to have a name on them.
Will Magnus hold his title? I think so
I hope he will not
Do the Game Of Shadows chess game from Sherlock: Sherlock v. Moriarty (2nd petition
Cool, a back-to-front Alekhine Cannon :D
7:34 Why not pawn on the d6 ?
1:37 Think mato should have explained why not knight takes pawn, instead of moving the queen, i know the reason, but mato should have explained to everyone
This is advanced game and I don't want to make too many beginners points.
Ok, sorry =P
Because pawn d5 next move attacking the pinned Knight do you mean?
Mato, Tal games?
Vote on that!!! :)
can anyone tell me which chee software mato use to make this chess game?
Dont mind about those stupid comment. the way u present the game is great !!!
what's the purpose of rook black in play 20
7:34 how about d6?
Is this a preview of the world championship coming in November ?
Good and entertaining game. . Karjakin didn't stand a chance
At 1:57 Why not knight to e5 immediately?
Probably because after knight exchange, black has a damaged pawn structure and white has a dangerous d-file pawn
👍
Mato, no more alexander alekhine games?
I have only 77 Alekhine's games left
But, I may not show all of them - only 76
ok mato
:-)
+MatoJelic LoL...
I request you mato..
Pls most Some Game of Rubinstine and Bottvinik.

nice one
ty dracula
Carlsen s games are way too positional like Kasparov . Alekhine and Tal s games are much more exciting
Maybe Karjakin kept his Sicilian preparation for the championship in november...
I would guess Karjakin will be most reluctant to play Sicilian in November.
Mato! I'm eating lasagna and let me tell you - it is fantastic!!
I know-you wanted to know what happened AFTER the game. They went to church together to pray for world piece.
I'd like a piece of world as well. :D
i agree wirh you mato
Mato you are meant to cover Tal, I love your videos but new chess order is boring. please make more of Tal or just make remake Tal vs Carlson
I like scrfice exchange rook takes knight
hello
Hi!
I really like Karjakin, though he should have known better while playing as Magnus Carlsen
Alekhine is more fun..those new games are predictable...
sergay karjakin
carlsen is one level over kariakin
ALEKHINE'S GUN!!
I accidentally read Karajan lol
Thanks for the transcription and wonderful commentary. :)
