    Carlsen's attack was so smooth, karjacked his opponent before Karjakin knew what was happening. Who ever said Carlsen can't attack! He's a deadly calculating monster.

    I love maneuvering moves like Rb1 and Bc2. Not anxiously attacking, but assembling and shaping the army. Carlsen plays very attractive chess in my opinion. His creates a "clean" feeling with the shape of his pieces, like a football side maintaining their shape.

    As someone who is getting back into chess, I enjoy the games of the past world champions.
    I'm more interested in the analysis rather than the players involved.

    Very instructive mating attack by Carlsen -- mass your pieces against the opposing king, eliminate the king's defenders (making sacrifices if necessary), and attack relentlessly.

    3:25, ..f6 is the move I considered, but two other masters online consider that ..g5 is better because of less damage to the pawn structure.

    Hi Mato i really appreciate your videos, they helped me a lot... As i know you are Croatian, i suggest you make some videos in Croatian language because there are a lot of people from ex Yugoslav countries that don't understand English, they will have a lot more views. Have a nice day :)

    A beautiful game by Magnus, worthy of a world champion. Alekhine would have been proud...

    Beautiful game by both. Carlsen seems to look a little deeper, though. Thanks for a fine analysis - again, Mato the Jester :)

    Hey mato! nice video, like always.. I think pushing the d pawn at 7:38 was also playable, or maybe taking pawn with rook after queen to g6

    wow, Carlsen has played like the carlsen we know this time. He just simply dominated the game, what an amazing player.

    Hi Mato! Love your videos, been watching a long time. I have a request: Can you please state the intention behind more of the moves being played? Sometimes you go through 7 or 8 moves quickly and I don't understand why the moves are being chosen. I learn a lot from these short explanations. Thanks!

    hey Mato you forgot to mention what kind of opening white played? or is it called sicillian for both white and black?

    • @11Kralle
      @11Kralle 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the 'sicilian defence' - as reply to the 'kings pawn game'. Since blacks 1st move defines the sicilian (mostly) all variants are named sicilian-... (sicilian-najdorf; sicilian-dragon a.s.o.). To name whites opening after the 1st move would only make sense if the 1st move was special enough (1.d6 = Miese's opening).

    • @ghostgurl17
      @ghostgurl17 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      wait, 1. d3 is miese's for white. d6 for black.. ok i understand now.. some white openings are too simple to have a name on them.

    At 1:57 Why not knight to e5 immediately?

    • @Dariensav
      @Dariensav 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably because after knight exchange, black has a damaged pawn structure and white has a dangerous d-file pawn
