@@drewdaskievige754 you got to feed fish from the top. You would have to put it on a slide out. Then you'd have to do some math.. 1 gal of water weights about 10 lbs. Depending on the size of tank is the weight you have to support.. So.. Yeah.. Not a bad idea..

You have a lovely house! I particularly like the different chairs around the table. It looks so peaceful and comfortable! And glad your channel is being supported, you deserve it!
Congrats on the sponsor! One tip I have for you. I noticed the simplisafe sign that shows the home is protected. Do not actually use that sign, as it gives thieves and other criminals the details on exactly the system you are using, which can allow them to easily break into your house. For example, most detectors run on specific frequencies, which can be interfered with and cause the system to not notify you. If you want the deterrent, you can utilize a sign from a different company.
Doomraider thanks for this! Although I don’t have simplysafe I do have nest and didn’t realize how leaving the icon sticker could be a giveaway for burgulars.
Good on you! So many times I've thought "that really needs to go" and then you bite the time & expense bullets to do it right. Hope the basement floor is an easy fix! Big thanks to SimpliSafe for sponsorship and more importantly, keeping the family safe.

Loved the video, always great editing. 👍 Your house is real nice, feel cosy, relaxing and simple. Like it a lot. That porch/ family room is really making the identity of your home. Loved it too. Congrats on your sponsorship and can't wait to see that concrete being dealt with.
First I'd like to thank you for graciously showing your viewers your home. It must have been a big decision to allow us a glance into your personal space like that. Sincerely thanks. Secondly I'd like to compliment this look of your home. You made a small space seem open and warm and all of the aesthetics are complimentary and beautiful. Lastly, thank you Simplisafe, I know many with your security system and they all love it. I as a viewer am pleased you chose to support one of the finest content creators on TH-cam.
Seeing you get a sponsorship makes me so very happy. I've been here since about 30k subscribers, and I've loved seeing your channel thrive. SimpliSafe couldn't have picked a better person to support.

A cliff hanger.... nooooooo. Congrats on the sponsorship. Simplisafe is a great product and company. Discovered it hen it first came out. No problems ever. Great job.

Its great to hear your reasonings for some of the things you do, how others can do the same as you, and when to put just a tad more into a change than you first thought you might. Love the house so far and Thank you SimpliSafe for the sponsorship.

Thank you simplysafe for sponsoring my favourite diy channel on the web! The videos are allways a great inspiration for me. All the best to you all, Maximilian.
Water sensor is a must have for any home. After I managed to flood my own kitchen(started filling the sink, went off to check laundry and got caught up in something else, ended up doing 10 grand CAD worth of damage to the house. Insurance covered it, but a week after it was fixed, it flooded again, because the technician who replaced the dishwasher forgot to tighten the hose and it flooded the kitchen(covered by them thankfully). Now we have 3 sensors in the house(1 under the dishwasher, another under the toilet, and the last by the hot water tank), and I wouldn't go without it.
I've really been enjoying your process for rebuilding your houses. You must love doing this because it looks physically very hard and time intensive. I love that you are saving these places. They have so much character.
Yeah, my grandparents basement in North Kansas City Mo, had a cement floor. Also even had a garage door at one end due to the grade in the terrain. You would think that it would be relatively dry but they always had a dehumidifier running. They had a false wall dividing it in half. 1 half was garage, laundry place and a shower bathroom. Other half had a fireplace and they kept the dehumidifier there. So I think any time you have a basement that doesn't get aired out much, you're going to have moisture issues, especially if they didn't drain tile the sides of the house. When my dad had the split level added to our old farm house, he also added a basement under it. Drain tiled around it, and we never had a dampness issue.
I've seen a lot of videos that are sponsored by SimpliSafe, but this is the first time I've seen a sponsored video cover the features and give a quick rundown. I'm still at the phase in my life were I'm in an apartment and this setup is very appealing to someone who can't really put a bunch of holes in their walls for camera mounts and such. I'm definitely buying into this as my apartment only has a loose locking deadbolt, no knob lock, and no chain, and the apartment manager said I can't add any locks to the door :) Thank you for the rundown!
Congratulations on the first sponsorship! I think you delivered it so well, very transparent, eloquent and treating your audience with respect- none of these sly, inauthentic ads that some other channels do.
Man you are one wholesome guy. If you haven’t made so many videos and I haven’t watched many if not all I’d think you were faking just how wholesome you are. Thanks for the great videos.
Loved the actual sponsored message in this, a first for me! It felt like so much more than just a sponsored message, it was more like a full demonstration of something you (as we already know) actually use and find useful as a home owner. SimpliSafe is in my home and I’m so glad that they are sponsoring you. A great team! I also recommended SimpliSafe to the renters of my rental property
Thanks, pretty happy about it myself. The floor was rough....I've already done it and hauled it off but concrete is still there.....I am fully prepared to find "remains" when I bust up the slab.
I have to say, I think a better layout would be to tuck the fridge next to the back door, DW right next to that, giving you a shorter L and then the stove to the left of the window. you could still do the breakfast bar under the window. This makes putting groceries away easier, AND it makes the whole kitchen flow much better. It also keeps a much more open feel to the dining room. Also, smaller fridges are much better for rentals.
oooops! I spoke too soon. From the initial camera position, I was not able to see that you had so much room to the right of that window. That is definitely a big enough corner to put the fridge in and your eat at countertop! Can't wait to see the end results. Carry on!
Grats on the sponsorship! I'd also pour a new floor for all 3 rooms. Concrete isn't horribly expensive, lasts forever if done right, and gives a nice polish to an area.
