They all somehow regularly train together. Hafthor, Martins, Brian, Eddie, also Larry, Juji who is not a strongman, but still does a lot of videos with them. It's awesome.

Both of these strongmen have tremendous respect for each other, and that's evident with how they are both encouraging each other, and helping each other to improve their techniques. Amazing collaboration, shows the true spirit of both men.

@@powerlifting1012 there have been shorter, about 6 feet, 360+lbs weightlifters with great mobility.
Thor could do it, it would just be a lot of work.

Love the energy between you two, I think you really bring out the A-game in each other. Where Thor gets by on brute force you bring superior technique. It would probably be a bad deal for you in some regards, but if you could coach Thor to your level of mobility, flexibility and technique he would probably like you said own every world record in the book. If there was such a thing as a strong man double you guys should be a team!

martins is just so cool to me.. I started out in oly lifting and now I just train for health and enjoyment so do a bit of everything.. but because he has those weightlifting roots his power production and efficiency is just incredible..

7:40 honestly not to seem like a kiss ass but this is what the sport is all about... two guys who both have so much knowledge and experience helping each other out even though they are huge rivals... really makes me happy seeing how down to earth these strongmen are towards each other.
Martins is gonna be an incredible coach when he retires, if he chooses to go that route. dude really knows his stuff, constantly impressed by his knowledge of the movements and the little nuances to improve form and technique.

I like how at 3:58 Thor got offended about Martins saying he isn’t as strong. Just shows you the respect they have for each other. Both of them are incredible guys who represent this sport extremely well and gives children and young competitors some awesome role models to look up to.
I love these guys - Thor beats Martins and then he is showing Thor how to be even better freely.

Martins also gets to train with Thor, who's better than him. He gets something from it, at the absolute minimum he gets in touch with how the best trains for power, although his technique may be better.

Your technique is impeccable Martins. I'm don't belong to the noobcrowd that has just learned about strong 6 month ago due to Larry Wheels, I've been following the sport for the past 15 years and in every move you do your form is the gold standard! Also I have to say as a physiotherapist, your knowledge on the biomechanics of the body is really great. I'm actually a bit surprised, many of your competitors doesn't seem to possess half of your knowledge in this regard. But you lead the way big man! Best of luck in the WSM.
