Great content girls and I am proud to see you. All the best🎉🎉

Hi Ladies. Thank you so much for the platform and y’all seem very chilled and so grounded.. I wanted to please ask to include more topics about career changes, cause I’m currently trying to make a move from my current position to being a data analyst via Google certification. Would be nice to get some advice about course recommendations for people who didn’t pursue the university route but are very interested getting into the data science/analytics field. Very nice show and thank you!
@@profnipho8816 thank you very much. We will definitely include that in one of the episodes.😊

Great episode🥰 I am looking forward to have a guest that has a background in Data Engineering in future episodes.
Thank you very much. ❤
I wish I had this when starting out-having information about what's out there and what's possible is crucial. This is exactly what young professionals and students need to know when beginning their careers. I'm curious, why did you decide to become data scientists in investment banking instead of following a clear path in a tech company or consulting?
I hope we give as much information as we can you students and young professionals. Thank you very much🥰
Hi everyone! I just finished listening to this episode and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The information and experiences shared by the hosts were truly inspiring.
I have a question for Buhle. You mentioned that you've done many different roles in your career. How did you manage to get those roles? Did you communicate with your manager or did someone advise you to apply for those positions? I'm currently in an IT internship that is ending in five months and I am applying for other roles within the company. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for the great content!
@@lethabolefifi3291 Hi, thank you very much. I was on a graduate program and we rotated. My first placement was based on the skills I have and what my manager thought would align with me, my other placements were based on me networking with the people I was working with. Asking them what they do daily and all and I spoke with my manager based on what I also wanted therefore I was placed on the other roles. When my graduate program ended last year, I had to choose where I want to be placed and I gave my manager options and I was placed based on what aligns with me, that’s how I became a Data Analyst. In conclusion, seeking guidance from other people, networking and having coffee chats really helped me. As much as I am a Data Analyst now, I am still networking to figure out how o could be better or do better.
@@TheTechTalkSA Thank you so much.

@@juliakeddie8222 thank you Julia😊
Lovely episode ladies I really enjoyed it💕I don’t come from a tech background I’m still a student doing Bsc Chemistry, but I’m very interested in Data Analytics as I’m quite analytical and I think I can do it.I feel quite discouraged though because I’m in my final year which is very hectic, but I also need to figure out a way to support myself next year as I don’t come from a privileged background so it makes it difficult for me to focus on learning the skills I need to learn.Hopefully you can speak on opportunities that are available for people who don’t even have a background in mathematics or statistics I would really appreciate that💕
@@nhlamulojas5128 Please do not feel discouraged. We will be sharing opportunities that we come across and we also do not come from a privileged background so you will get an opportunity to see how we broke generational curses and dusted ourselves when we went through failures.
Well done, Jo❤
Thank you❤
👏👏👏👏
😊😊😊
Data science student here so this is super exciting
Keep pushing guys.
@@josephsetati2461 we will, thanks😊
I was exploring jobs to land in as an economics student this other day and i saw 'data analyst' ... i was surprised. Can i reallly be one with that qaulification?
Yes definitely you can. There are economics skills that align with data analytics
I'm kinda confused on the data analyst&scientist part does it mean that when one is a data analyst they are also a data scientist?
No, they are different. Data analysts look at data to make reports and charts. Data scientists use advanced statistics and programming to predict future trends. Both work with data but do different things.
@@TheTechTalkSA so one can become both a data scientist and analyst
