Thank you for sharing your informative and concise video. I have wanted to see how Infusible Ink works but all the other videos were an hour or more and I haven’t had the time. Your 14 minute video answered all my questions. Great job!
The only reason they strongly urge the pen and markers users to use only laser printer paper is because it was designed for use with the heat the laser printer uses to adhere the plastic toner powders to the paper. I used both all printer paper and regular copy paper. The only difference is that the copy paper shows the beginning of scorching, yellowing. I also do traditional sublimation and have used the all printer paper till my sublimation paper arrived with no problems.
What a lovely sentiment. It's so bright and vibrant. I picked up the pens but didn't realize that they are different sizes. Can I ask what are the sizes? I love this machine and the press. I just wish I could afford them. Thank you for sharing. Jennifer
Thank you. When you made your label did you write yourself or do on the Cricut. Wondering if you can utilize your own handwriting somehow when making the label.
Will parchment paper that you bake with work in place of butcher paper? "so impatient I want to peek but I can't" you are adorable. (how this video got any thumbs down votes is beyond me. Lots of sour grapes in this world with nothing better to do I suppose.)
Thank you SO Much for this video! I just purchased a Cricut Maker mainly for quilting (cutting fabric) and have been searching all over on how to make labels for my quilts. Finally found your video and it has answered all my questions! One remaining question though is can you add a quarter inch seam allowance around the square? I using sew two fabric pieces together then turn inside out. I am new to design space and wondered how would you do this. Thank you Carole for providing this video, looking forward to following you!
So many many months later, I’m sure the quilt has been washed. How does your quilt label look now? As a Longarm quilter this may be something I offer my customers, but I want to know how well it washes up. Guess I’m going to have to make one and see!!
Good video. Just needed to be closer. I need to make unique quilt labels. You left out what fabric you used. I am assuming it was the square that comes in the box with the transfer sheets.
Thank you for a great video. I really would like to make my own designs on fabric for quilting. Can you use this on a cotton poly blend fabric? The present Cricut blanks would not do this. Thanks.
I have old quilts my grandmother made. I wanted to put her name with her birth and death dates on the quilts. I wonder if it would work on different fabrics too
I love these fusible ink pens. I watched another video and they showed t-shirts, tote bags and coasters. Does cricut sell fabric squares? I like making my own labels one little square won't be enough for me.
absolutely you can use the Explore family machines or the Maker and I purchased my laser copy paper from amazon or any office supply store, like Staples or Office Depot

I want to hear how it works on any fabric..... basic cotton pre washed no fabric softeners or dryer sheets. I’m thinking perhaps the same chemical treatment process as used to make fabric printable for inkjet iron on transfer fabric I know pre treated printable fabric is already available at most office stores.... I wonder if you might try that and wash and such to let us know how that works with the pens I have so many brands of pens for all separate projects and uses.... I don’t want to invest in a mother set of pens that use can’t be expanded to use on the limited “cricut” brand items. Thanks
When I chose the draw feature to write out the fonts they are always outlined, not just solid. How do I change that so I can make fabric labels like you did?
This seems to be Cricut’s alternative to “sublimation”. If so, then this process should work on white polyester shirts, and other sublimation blanks (coasters, Totes). The pens, for me, defeat the purpose if unable to fill color and would prefer to use the transfer sheets for small embellishments such as the stars and also for solid images using the pattern sheets. You would still have to weed the excess material from the transfer sheets for graphics with detail or typography.
Yes, Infusible Ink transfers work like dye sublimation. What is different about the Infusible Ink system is that it is uniquely designed to work with your familiar Cricut products and tools to give you consistently incredible results at home - without the cost, size, and complexity of commercial dye sublimation equipment.
C Rob she stayed in a previous video that it will not work on 100% cotton. As with any sublimation you can do it but the results will not be the same as using polyester
Carole, another video I watched cautioned to not touch inked area as fingerprints leave oils that may mar design. But that was with the sheets not the pens. Does it hold true for the pens? Also can parchment paper be used instead of butcher paper?
and I haven't had any issue touching the transfer sheets so far but I would not make a habit of carrying them around in my hands... light touches while you weed haven't effected it
They made it sound like you can only use their “blanks.” Will they be also selling fabric? Did not see that in the product blanks. What fabric did you use?
This is exactly what I was looking for. You jump right into it and make it simple to follow. I love that. THANK YOU!

Can you use quilt cotton for the label? I just got a cricut maker for my anniversary. So I’m brand new to this world o’cricut
hi. thanks. how did you get that 4" square for it to cut out? did you just pick a square in the image options or create one in text using lines?

What type of material was this you used? Can you use this method on cotten I wonder ?
Hi there, what is the differance between laser & ink jet paper ? Why laser ? Ive got the ones that can take both, will that be ok ?
Thanks for the tutorial. How long can you wait before applying the design to the fabric? Also, the fabric has to be polyester.?
gorgeous image ... and great video as well
Just a question Carole whats the difference between the Infusible ink pens and the markers ?

Can I go directly to my cotton quilt fabric label vs t-shirt material for my quilt label?

Do you have to iron it on right away after creating the drawn image? Or is it ok to not for a couple days?
I’m wondering if the cricut maker will be able to write lettering to fit to label measures 1”T x1.7”W
I’d really love to use this technique to make a personalized handkerchief, would that be possible?

Can you reuse the same image? or is it a one time use thing? thanks for the video
reese jones you can with the pens but the second press will be less vibrant
I am wanting to put a great grandma recipie on 100 percent cotton but I would rther not do iron on will this work for that project
The infusible ink pens are basically sublimation so need to be used on a polyester base/fabric.
Can the pens do all of the colors or do you have to only do the black and then hand color the others?
there are some new images in design Space that your machine will colour in with the pens/markers...and more to come...
What fabric other than Cricut brand can it work on ?

There are lots of new blanks coming.,...
Could you use the cool setting on a hairdryer to cool off the fabric?
tweetybrd78 I guess you could but it doesn’t take that long to cool...
What is the advantage of the infusible ink markers over using fabric pens? And does Cricut have a universal pen adapted?
The ink is fused into the fabric fibers, it is permanent
Can we use A-Sub paper?
Can I do this with explore air and where can I get laser copy paper from
