In the lightning round, I always thougt that if they have to skip a word and if there was time left after they got word number 5, they could go back and try to get the one they had to skip. But I guess it doesn't work that way.

Watching "The Danny Thomas Show" in reruns, I noticed how Marjorie Lord's hair got bigger and bigger with every passing season. Danny Thomas may have been a decent entertainer, but he sucked at Password.
I don't think I'm watching the same show as everyone else in the comments, because Danny Thomas is coming across as a total cupcake and not the least bit arrogant or dumb. It's not the easiest game out there and team games are only as good as the person you're paired with. Everyone had a bad run with those words, Marjorie came over every bit as badly as Danny did, and she didn't come across badly at all.

This is one of the WORST episodes with bad celebrities. The Password "Nation" was an example of why most showbizzies should never get in front of a camera without cue cards. Miss Doofus , who forgot that she was living and working here in the States , NOT in Vodka-ville/ Hammer & Sickle land, and Mr. Dense are examples of most "Hollywooders". Clueless without cue cards. D.T. must have worn house slippers all the time because he could not figure out "Comfortable" and "Shoes". HOW did he and she ever have a TV show that got watched?!? ugh! Danny Thomas may have donated $ to a children's hospital but this episode really shows that he was egotistical and stupid and rude at the same time. Total cheating on the "Horizon" clue with his hand and the enabler ( Allen Ludden 🤥) gave him a green light. The male contestant said he was an electrical engineer working on missiles.... oy-boy 🥵 His products probably never flew straight, if they even launched at all. To be an engineer, most people had to have good grades in High School to get into College. He had very poor English language skills. He was almost as daft as the female guest who made hand gestures instead of guessing a word. The Password "Staple" was mangled badly. Save bandwidth and trash can this episode from You Tube !
Hello. There is a book which could have helped the celebs and the contestants: A Thesaurus. {Latin for "Treasure House"} I have a Roget's and a Webster's N.W. edition. If I had applied / entered to be on a game show about WORDS, then I would spend at least a couple of days reading several pages in a Thesaurus. Garage/Yard sales and Thrift store finds make it easy on the wallet. Clues for comfortable could be ---> contented, cheerful, easy, rest, relaxed, untroubled, healthy, rested, pleased, soothed, relieved, strengthened, restored. There are several two or three-word phrases, but P-W did not allow more than one word.
