Honestly my hair was that frizzy wavy consistency all through high school but is was surrounded by people who idolized straight hair. I told my mom the other day i was sick of my hair bc i got caught in the rain and it became slightly curly and she has curly hair she said don’t brush your hair after your shower and i didn’t and this is day two of embracing my wavy/curly hair. I had layers but i made the mistake of brushing my hair when it was wet.

I’m so very happy people are embracing their natural curl patterns instead of trying to always beat it ( aka straighten) it into submission. I quit using chemical relaxers 12 years ago and now my two daughters are being raised to love their hair, experiment with it, and most importantly learn what works for them. I know not all curly hair is the same ( our curls as are tighter and coarser because we all three have 4C hair) but ALL hair can be lush, healthy and beautiful

Hi I have type 4a hair but this will work with your hair type too! If you use a satin bonnet, pillow case, or scarf it will most definitely make your curls last longer and stay moisturized! I do this and my best friend with type 3 hair does this and our curls/kinks stay soft and defined for up to a week. Cotton sheets and pillowcases dries your hair out really fast. Plus you will save products. Also for the gel cast I recommend covering your hands with a very light oil when you’re scrunching you’ll get shine, moisture, and really soft hair ! Have a blessed day💕💕💕

Buying a satin pillowcase was the best thing I ever did for my hair! I’m one of those wavies with ridiculously frizzy hair, but the satin pillowcase really cut down on that. IMO everyone should have one because they’re better for skin, too

I've heard so many good things from curly girls about satin pillowcases! They're especially good for curls, but honestly everyone can benefit from them. i've got fine 1b hair (but a lot of it) and the silk pillow case is great for reducing breakage and tangling! also it is soooo much more gentle on my acne (which is what I bought it for originally)

before school when I was young I would shower and then my mom would always brush and blow dry my hair. It was always long and straight, maybe just slightly wavy at the tip. So growing up I naturally just brushed my hair right after showering so it’d be “easier to brush”. I noticed after swimming it would get significantly wavier. I no joke thought nothing of it, maybe just the chlorine. I also had a lot of heat damage in high school. Fast forward to me at 20 and I quit all heat and got frequent trims. My hair got thicker and I noticed it was getting more texture. I looked up wavy hair routines on here and stopped brushing my hair the second I got out of the shower. Now I have waves and literal ringlets near the back of my neck 😂😭 i was straight up dumbfounded, not knowing you have wavy/curly hair is a real thing!

We have literally the exact same hair (same length, color, thickness, wave type, etc) and I’ve been looking for a routine that wasn’t complex (because lazy lmao) because I have no idea how to get the curls I have to fully come out and shine like they should be, so thankful to you and honestly love the loyalty to not your mothers because it’s so easy to get your hands on anywhere and I’m so tired of seeing peoples routines with super expensive or hard to find products. Thank you so much you are exactly what I’ve been looking for and you’re absolutely adorable and have a great vibe too!

    • @sangeethaas7556
      @sangeethaas7556 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

@@lilianalyn9608 I use aloe vera gel on damp hair and scrunch, plop for 30 mins after hair is almost dry and seal it with some light oil. You can use any gel and oil that suits you.
Also I use shampoo and conditioner from khadinatural.com they are mild and free from harmful chemicals, you can use any brand you like but just don't use products that are harsh.
If your hair gets weigh down easily, maybe this will work and I hope you get your perfect waves or curls. Have a nice day.

I am going grey in a streak at the front, and all I do with my one-length (sans my long fringe/bangs), shoulder-length when straight/chin length when curly is slather it in good light oil/serum and light gel/curl cream--something shiny--and just.... twirl my hair into ringlets. I've figured out they need not much encouragement at all and just had suuuuuuuuuper dry hair (it's been falling out due to chemo, long story) but now I am living my Edwardian girl fantasy and love it so much.... people also compliment it all the time ^_^

Yay, you showed root clipping! I have been dealing with really flat hair at the roots and ending up with the dreaded triangle shape until I started root clipping. I do diffuse it when it’s about 90 percent dry and then let it cool completely before removing the clips. Gel is usually too much for me and I prefer mousse but I’m going to try the Hawk curling jelly next. I love your hair, your style and that bathing suit is stunning girl! I wish my hair was thick but alas, it’s fine and thin. Hence my fear of gel. I’m still learning and experimenting though. Thanks for the video!

I wish my hair was this thick, I love how healthy and shiny your hair looks. Once my hair grows out a bit more I might try this routine and those products :). Looks pretty promising

Your hair is really beautiful! I just wanna say that I’m currently transitioning back to my natural hair. I’ve straightened my hair for 12-13 ish years (not that often before middle school, every day in middle school and every day throughout my freshman year before covid). When there was that lockdown in March, I started to try to transition back to my natural hair. I had no idea what I was doing, and I really wish I did know what I was doing because my hair would look so much better today. Two months ago, I finally figured out what I needed to do to as far as transitioning back. I’m still unsure what my curl pattern is because my hair is so damaged and thick and very tangled from wearing it in buns and ponytails all the time (it’s probably 3c ish from what I can tell when I’m washing it). I really just want to cut it all of somedays and just completely restart because my hair is such a mess, but I’m not gonna do that. It also really sucks to hear my mom say that my hair looks bad and that I should just straighten it (she has curly hair too, but wears it straight), even though I know 100% what I’m doing.
Thanks you for listening to me vent about hair.

I have the same hair as you and I’ve been straightening it my entire life because of the frizz and poof just like you said!! I’ve had super long hair for years and I decided recently to go short like yours and realized .. I have no idea how to style this mess and everything i tried just never looked good. We have very similar hair and I’m so excited to try this technique!! Thank you for this video because you saved my hair🥰

I've never seen someone have such a similar hair type to mine! The beginning hair was so relatable 😭🖐 but my hair has never looked as good as your end result! I'm going to take some of these tips for sure, thank you so much!

Have you made a vid on how you sleep with your curls? I’ve found since cutting my hair short they don’t hold overnight because it isn’t long enough to tie into a pineapple pony.

Hi! I really learn a lot from your videos, you explain the steps really well and it's easy to understand what you're doing. Is there any way you could make a video to refresh curly/wavy hair?
Thank you so much for your content! 💚
