How so u use gel and curl mouse without making it dry or stinging. I'm have shea moisture daily hydration styling gel in shea moisture coconut & hibiscus frizz-free curling mousse. In theory they seemed great however shy away from them and use a cream gel and a wrapping foam what's some curl cream and or leave-in conditioner depending on my hair needs. However I have these things that you so greatly say are wonderful for the hair but I'm finding it to be stringing and again my hair is very long and loves moisture long fine blonde 2b - 2c waves. And even the things I'm using maybe too much but it's just like I don't know which one does it but that something's working :) so you say use a gel to get a cast and that's styling moose is moisturizing. So why do these two products used separately maybe once together just really take my hair from wow to ow. Need some help would appreciate it ❤❤❤
I shower at night and I always sleep with my hair in the cast. It definitely helps my curls to last longer. No pineapple, no bonnet, just a satin pillowcase. 😊
Can I ask, what’s your hair type? I want to try this because I often only have time to shower at night since I have two kids under 2 and o just never find time in the day - but I do NOT have the energy to try styling it and doing the whole thing at 10pm just for it to get ruined overnight and have to spend a whole day with my hair in a hat yet again 😂
I put my hair in the cast and then sleep in a satin bonnet just to avoid frizz and to keep it safe because I... am a rotisserie chicken in my sleep 😅😅😅
Me and my mom both have curly/wavy hair but were never taught how to take care of it. You’re videos have helped me and my mom sm! Thank you for representing more wavy curl patterns! I feel like ppl shame having a less curly curl pattern.
Woah.. someone who actually has my hair!!! I thought it was super weird how mine straightens out so easily prior to a wash day - but then has the same curly waves afterwards that you do! Subscribed - now I have to binge your videos to learn more 😅
I thought it was just me who thought that my hair had to get used to the new haircut, but you confirmed it👌 Generally, it takes a couple of weeks every time I do a radical change of look. Oh, that included the hair dye when I used to dye my hair as well.
Growing up, I was never allowed to wear long hair. Always had to wear a very short haircut or at least a ponytail because of my bushy frizzy "straight" hair. I was nagged constantly to cut my hair and even threatened to cut it while I slept. I'm quite old now with 50% grey (or silver) and have decided to grow it (even dream my deceased mother is nagging me to cut it), and I would look like a mermaid except when you're this old, it's more crazy cat lady. Anyhow I'm happy my hair looks as shiny, healthy and full as it does at my age so just going to see what happens.
Me, too! I'll be 57 next month and for the first time, starting just a couple years ago, when I learned how to care for my natural wavy curly hair, I was letting grow and now enjoying my natural wavy & curly hair for the first time in my life. Before that, I had kept it short because I didn't know how to care for my hair.
I started my wavy/curly journey at 50. I also had no idea my hair could be so curly just with the right methods and product. I always struggled with frizzy looking hair. Thought I had to use silicone gels and blow dry or flat iron (cringe) to keep it under control. Finally, my hairdresser asked what my hair was like when I let it air dry. I told her it had some waves (and frizz). She taught me a few things and told me to look into the curly girl methods and that's how I found Courtney. I've learned so much from her and am embracing my waves. My hair texture is changing as I gray, but I'm determined to never let a flat iron touch my head again!
Similar story, except that my mom and brother had wavy hair whereas mine was straight until perimenopause. My mom made wear a pixie cut for many years and then a bob in my teens. I grew it out below shoulders once and have now done it again. At 62 it is the longest it has ever been. Wavy and down my back. I would expect my deceased mom to be nagging, too. She also, had a thing about women should not have long hair past 40. Still learning techniques and products. I do color mine, but I'm sure at some point I will let it go gray.
I had the opposite growing up. I had bleach blonde wavy curly hair to my waist and I wanted to cut it so bad because all my friends had short hair, but my dad never let me. I cut it myself in highschool and only appreciate now what I had !
Can I just say how grateful I am for you bleaching your hair!🤪! I have come into my curly hair journey with very compromised hair, and I have been thinking that my hair will never be very curly. However, seeing how your hair has changed after highlights gives me reassurance that, as my hair gets healthier and grows out, it will become more and more curly! Love your end result! And I will have to try the propping up of the diffuser!❤️
Im going to go try this right now. I have had straight hair my whole life, but Covid gave me wavy curly hair and I'm trying to embrace it and learn how to do it. Thank you!
What an interesting way to diffuse! I had given up on diffusing, because - like you experienced as well - my short waves just turn out reaaaally wonky and weird. I've been air drying it and sleeping in the cast, but that means I have to have time to wash my hair at a time when it leaves me with enough time to get it to dry before I go to bed. And as a mom, that's not always an option. I will definitely give this a try!
Glad I came across your channel! I'm on the early side of my journey and while I love creators like Mell and other really curly girls, I'm more on the wavy side and won't get the type of results they do. This gives me a better idea of what it can be.
I must have watched 20 videos on curly hair.😢 Your video was absolutely the best! I have naturally wavy hair but was never able to get definition. You are a terrific teacher! Thank you.🎉
I have naturally low density fine high porosity hair and I do 80% of this routine especially the smooth out the crunch! I live S and E of you Courtney and the humidity here is how I designed my routine and ended up near 1:1 for this routine here:)
I got 6” cut off yesterday, came home and did a deep moisturizing (very high) protein conditioning mask, I used 1/3 of the normal of my styler, but, followed my same routine- my waves are huge, juicy & crazy. Your massive chop was my inspiration - thank you!!!!
Only till recently did I realize I have wavy hair just like yours! I've been trying other tutorials but it always ended up looking frizzy and some areas wouldn't curl like the rest. This is the best tutorial for me! I can't wait to try this tonight!
Thanks so much! I didn’t get a new haircut but I had a bad health year. My hair is thinner and just reacting totally different to my old routine. You’ve made me feel a lot better about feeling like I’m starting all over figuring things out. Fyi-my hair and I are starting to feel healthy again!
Glad you are feeling better! And that is okay, take care of you at your speed. I get that health wise! Hope you continue to feel better and gain strength!
I loved this video. I was missing watching you wash your hair. I don't mind at all that you use curlsmith a lot. I recently bought the Essential Moisture Cleanser and Conditioner with the Hydro Style Flexi Jelly and the Curl Defining Styling Soufflé and I LOVE it all! My hair is so happy and I get day 2 hair!!!! I also bought the curlsmith hair dryer and it is perfect. I love how it doesn't get to hot. Thanks for all you share. It is very helpful! ☺
You are so kind! Thank you! I’m really glad you like this style of video. I missed it too. I would LOVE to hear what you think of all your new CurlSmith goodies once you have had a chance to try them out.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney I love all my CurlSmith goodies. I'm getting my best results with curlsmith. It makes my hair so happy, soft and it last for 2 days! It has become my go to every wash day. I've been using it all for about 3 weeks now. I've enjoyed it so much that I went back and ordered more things from the orange line to try with it ,lol.
Thanks for the routine update! Not hair related but your eyes look amazing, can you provide a makeup tutorial? Or if there is one you follow, please share!!!
It's interesting to see how your styling products and techniques have changed. I have hair about the length of yours, medium texture, and it's high porosity due to me coloring it so I've always had to use way more product even though my hair was half as long as yours. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. But it seemed to be what worked for me so I kept doing it. I'm glad to see your new routine here. It is some much needed validation that maybe I wasn't doing it wrong after all 😆 Also sleeping in a bonnet really helps my longevity!
Brushing off of the top of the head is a major part I added to the scc. I thought I was doomed to have a perma-part from a back of the head cowlick. This fixed it all. Hoping I did as well today as I didn't see his in time and wasn't sure how you did this but first time experiment was like whaaaa? I sent a picture to my hair stylist saying like a woman in labor would say to the father "you did this to me!" 😅 Thanks girl!
I like putting my conditioner on my roots I find it helps us detangling I don’t know how I could like detangling my hair without putting conditioner throughout my hair and only putting on the midst ends I don’t really find a problem with making my roots greasy I think you just have to be more thorough when rinsing it out
Agree! I have always put conditioner on my roots and can't imagine doing otherwise. All parts of my hair need conditioner, as I have a scalp that sometimes gets dry. If I don't condition my roots properly, I have frizzy and dry roots which is not cute nor easy to work with lol.
This is so weird, after following you for a while I watched this one for the first time and you’re new routine is exactly what I’ve been doing. Sleeping in my cast for me has been a game changer. Much love ❤️
Curl Shock, now I know why my hair is not curling like it was when it was long. I got it cut off end of last year and to this day I can hardly get it as curly as it was when it was long and I thought less hair more curl, 100% not true. Thank you now i know i need to play around with it and try stuff that I couldn't when it was long.
I cut about 6" of my hair so it's just a touch longer than yours in this video. I've only had the new cut for 48 hours, but oh my goodness, the waves in my hair are getting so much more defined and becoming more 2B/2C. I even had a few actual spiral curls when my stylist did it! I'm still in transition but I think the haircut really helped. Also, I use this Essential Moisture from this line and I have been loving it too!
This is so helpful, thank you Courtney. My hair is fine and my natural texture is super soft but I have a lot of blonde which is high porosity and water and moisture just evaporates from it. It's difficult having two different hair texures but I just like the blonde so much. My main issue is stringy waves where the most damage is and too much gel seems to just make it worse. Finding lightweight conditioners suitable for fine hair has been a challenge and I also rarely have 'slip'. I'm hearing so many good things about Curlsmith and I'm going to invest in some of their range as I think protein is what I'm lacking. Sorry for the novel 😅
Based on your videos I just purchased CURLSMITH FEATHER-LIGHT PROTEIN CREAM and I love it! Best cream ever and I've spent a lot of money and tried a lot!
I am so glad you posted this! I also just cut my hair, to about the same length as yours, and it is behaving the same way. I really needed help with how to handle it now. Now could you please give us some ideas for formal event hairstyles for this length?
Oh goodness thank you for this.I just cut my hair and I'm only halfway through trying to figure out what my hair likes. I chopped a good 7-10 inches and now it's like my hair drops out of its wave as soon as it's dry; even though I know it's got wavy/curly potential! I'll be trying this method next!
I have your hair! Finally! So, above shoulder, coloured hair......so happy you managed to donate so much.....even happier I can now try some products along with you 😊
I’d love to see this routine but completed upright, I’m pregnant and cannot upside down wash my hair. Also love the product recommendations! I’ll have to check them out since I still highlight my hair and wear it curly.
I'm not pregnant, but standing over a bath like this kills my back. I've adapted her routine by using a hair clip. I get all my hair wet in the shower and then clip up the top two-thirds. I do leave in and then curl activator, and I brush through with my Denman brush and squish before letting down the second third. Once I've done all the layers I tilt my head to the side and brush away from my face, then to the other side, then backwards to brush the hair off the nape of my head, and finally I bend over for a few seconds to brush the hair off my crown. I do gel in two parts (bottom half of the hair and top half) and brush it through, then I swish my hair from side to side a couple of times before wrapping it in a cotton shirt.
Courtney actually does have upright routines on her channel, when she's pregnant, too! One of them uses the Curlsmith Fragrance Free (Shine) line products shortly after they were released: th-cam.com/video/7RKzIHlyAEY/w-d-xo.html. You can also search her channel for more 'upright' videos.
I'd really like to see how you get your hair to be straight with no frizz. Mine curls similarly to yours when I style it but when it stretches out its never as consistent all over. I know its a bit different to the usual aim on your channel to style for curly hair but I'd still love to know :)
I really need to try this technique ❤ I cutted about 20cm of my hair last month and I'm really struggling to find a routine that works like it did before...
I love how you go in in certain layers i soet of try that i think i go too far tho. But my brain cant comprehend how just doing prayer hands on top and bottom does Aanything to the hair in between!
Your swing method has been so helpful for me! The best results I've had so far. Before trying your method I was always frustrated with my results. However I've learned to let go and have fun with your method! Love the feather light protein cream! One of my fav products from curlsmith. I love your hair. You've inspired me to do the same thing!
Awesome! Just cut My hair to this lenght and My curls are clumping together in huge s’s wich I dont want them to 😄 great video, great results! Will def try this next washday😀
I got into your channel because I needed/wanted to do background research on Curlsmiths Bond Rehab Salve. I definitely went down a rabbit hole of 1) your videos and 2) Curlsmith products, but I also enjoy them a lot. So, YES, I was influenced by you, but I am also happy about it.
You should give K18 another shot now that you have highlights! :) I love it so much for my highlighted fine wavy hair. And I’ve been on the same bottle since April!!
Yayy! Hi beautiful sister in Christ Courtney! WOW! Your hair transformation was AMAZING! I was so HAPPY to see your hair routine, I find it so educational (and cathartic, hehe)! Something about watching the whole process is so therapeutic
Have you tried damp styling your shorter hair? I've recently cut mine short and I don't know what to do with it now! I'm not sure soaking wet is working.
Dear Cortney, I somehow fеll out of your channel, i do not know how, but TODAY I just made curlsmith's hair test and it resulted the products you use. I open youtube to make research and the first video I see - is yours! What a coincidence! I love you and your videos.
Hi Courtney, like you, I have shoulder length swavy/curly hair. I really struggle with refreshing day 2 hair. I’ve watched your videos when you had longer hair but my question is, do you do anything different now that your hair is short? PS-I just recently found you on TH-cam and on this snow day I’ve binged about 3 hours of your videos. Thanks for sharing your wealth of info with the world.
Just ordered these products. My hair is a couple of inches shorter so I'm happy to add to my Curlsmith collections. They always work so well in my hair.
I love it! 👏🏻 I was so inspired by your haircut video that I showed a short clip of it to my curly specialist. (I showed her the last part where Alyson explains what to ask for) I was told that I would end up with _mushroom hair_ as it grew out, so she needed to make adjustments. I told her the length I was wanting (either just brushing my shoulders or just above, not chin length) Unfortunately, she kinda went all Edward Scissorhands on me and 2 1/2 weeks later, I might still be a little salty about it. 😆 It'll grow, I know but I now have *so many* layers and I didn't before. 🙄 Sorry for venting, but I guess I'm just still frustrated that I didn't get what I asked for. Anyway, thanks for sharing! ❤
I have gone so many times to get my hair cut, taken pictures explained etc. never have I gotten a haircut that I was happy with. I found a video of a self haircut that works for me. Given up on professional haircuts.
I’m with you! Although I wanted layers, I got these chunky choppy layers all around the top of my head that make my styling limited. I can’t wait for my hair to grow out😭
@@arianaavard7770 Ugh...so sorry it happened to you, too! Chunky, choppy layers is a perfect description. 😐 Before it ("it" being this bad/current cut) happened, I thought I had found "my girl" but I'm seriously considering either trying someone else at the salon, or just going to a new place altogether. 🤷🏼♀ Anyway, thanks for understanding. ❤
Just cut my hair, I I've been dying and bleaching & swimming my hair was dry, so I got a cut well I've been growing it out for 6 months, but my curls are so awesome now ❤
My hair looks a little bit curlier than yours, although I do have areas where my hair is much curlier & unfortunately, places where it just hangs there. One of these resistant patches is right up front & only on one side of my head....nice. I noticed your hair is a little straighter on the right & am curious if you ever to a pin curl while it's drying or hit it with a curling iron in those areas. What are your suggestions for dealing with straight patches & do you have any no-no's for diffusing shorter hair (2" shorter than yours & lightly layered)? I'd love to hear about how approached troubleshooting with your own hair journey & thank you very much for teaching an old dog some new tricks.
This is great! Your SCC method works so well for me, and seeing it on hair more my length was really helpful. I find that styling upside down makes my many baby/regrowth hairs want to stay pointing away from my head (sooo much halo frizz!) But volume is so tricky! I'd love to see a series where you test out drug store dupes for these products- curlsmith is hard to find in Aus, and exxy, and also seems to make me itchy 🫤
Thank you! Glad this helped!!! Those baby hairs can be tricky! And thank you for your suggestion! Ugh wish it wasn't so difficult product wise in other countries!
It will help if you do some layers. And don’t stretch out while breaking the cast. Just scrunch the crunch gently. You will get better results and will not affect the curls.
Just finished watching your entire curl smith series because its the only brand I use 😆 Also I just got my hair chopped off because I donated it and that’s when I started the curly girl method about a week ago! I still have a LOT of experimenting to do with my hair, but I can’t wait to figure it out and get those perfect curls! (2c and 3a waves / curls)
Awesome video! Such definition! I was wondering, how often do you use the curlsmith thickening lotion? What's your take on it months after its release?
You know, I've been doing this journey for over 2 years now and every once in a while, I still forget to (stc) squish to condish. Lol! In spite of me forgetting to stc, today's washday came out pretty good. Probably would've been better if I did stc. Oh well. Next time. Lol! I also found out my hair comes out better with just wet hair, not soaking wet, too and doing the gmg (gel mousse gel) technique works best for me and spray my hair with some hairspray for extra hold and quicker drying time before diffusing. If needed, I smasters will gel foam.
One question, do you think you can make a video postpartum about your hair change? My hair's texture is so different post partum (11 months now). It used to be much wavier naturally without products, and now it is super soft and more stretched out but gets easily oily if I use products. Hugs!
I prefer to do my routine at night before bed. It's easier because I struggle with getting up early due to chronic fatigue issues related to fibromyalgia and depression. So it's easier for me. I'm currently on a curl journey as I learn my curls and what works and train them into what they always should have been. (I'm 27 and just now trying to learn this) I used to get teased for frizzy hair in school by my bullies and they even called me Mufasa because my hair is so thick and straightening lasted maybe an hour when I was shoulder length but the longer it got the less I had to do with it and it always had some form of wave and I loved the texture and over time began to hate my hair straight and flat. I did a big chop and went from waist length hair to an asymmetrical pixie 6-7 years ago and haven't looked back. But now I want to grow my hair out and the top part is long and the sides and back are growing out because I had an undercut and so I wear it in a faux bob because that's how long the top is and the sides are reaching the awkward stage where they wanna look like I was electrocuted so I wet and gel them down or when I've come from the shower I pin up the part I'm training to curl with a big clip and use a light hold gel and the concentrator nozzle with a comb or my fingers to dry the short bits until they're long enough to comfortably include in my style for the day. I have so many little claw clips to keep my hair back, I've fallen in love with bandanna's again and am trying different methods I learn from youtubers like you as I grow it out. It's completely virgin hair at this point and I want to add color but I'm not ready to try and find another method to use while I'm still learning so I decided to do it later when I know my hair and have grown it to what I am aiming for. I love these little tutorials and info videos of other people's journeys because until recently I didn't know that you had to teach your hair to do what it is supposed to do naturally. I always thought that if it was curly it would be curly but boy was I wrong. Now I have a beginner routine, good dupes for expensive products, stuff that works for me at this point in time and I agree with you 100% on the sleeping in the cast. I like to put my hair in the gel cast before bed, diffuse til mostly dry and then air dry for an hour or so and then I tuck into a satin bonnet and sleep. I invested in the tik tok viral bonnet from MNJ Sales (no slip bonnet) and when it comes in hopefully I will finally have a bonnet that won't slide off my head in my sleep (I sleep like a rotisserie chicken and it always comes off) I haven't tried Curl Smith yet but I like Zotos All About Curls products, Texture iD products, and Soapbox shampoo and conditioner. They work great for my hair and needs, but I need to switch to a stronger gel hold so I'll be off to Sally's tonight to grab the other 15oz bottle of Zotos crunchless gel in Ultra Hold and keep using that in tandem with my Kinky Curl Custard gel. I look forward to more videos to learn and help me along the way!!🥰🥰
I think with less weight in your hair it is looking even curlier 😉. Mine is also very close to straight if I let it dry without scrunching but with good styling and hold I can have a lot of my hair staying in ringlets.
I also get some wonky curls pixie diffusing with the CS diffuser bowl but love to hover diffuse. Did you know that the old beloved BLACK ORCHID diffuser fits on the CS dryer snug & secure with inner ring inside of BO😮🎉❤the deeper bowl May help
This is so helpful! I just chopped off maybe 6 inches at least and have been having to play around with how I style my waves now. Thank you for sharing your new routine!
I need to know how you got your hair to grow that much in one year! Other than the HSN vitamins i used to get from ItWorks! I massively need to retain growth and speed it up! My hair dry idek all the things! Its fine its brittle its damaged (relaxer +3 (only 1 succesful) perms) + dyes.
With shorter hair you should just wash at night and style the next morning. Doesn’t have to be quite so wet and diffusing goes fast. Works wonders for me
I find it easier to bend over and lay my hair on the counter, on a T-shirt. Saves the back, having something to lean on. Courtney, do have layers in your hair now? Since I've been on this journey, over 2 years now, I know I need to get it cut, but debating whether to get layers, I think, for me, like Jannelle O'Shaughnessy, my hair is curliest in the ends, to layer it makes the curls sparse. So, she does light layers on top. Does anybody else have weird hair, parts that are clump so nicely and another part is almost refusing to clump and wants to be frizzy? I think that section is just so low porosity, water just beads on it. How can I help that section that section? It also were my white hair is.
I soo enjoy learning from you!! Several "new" techniques I will be trying!! Also just want to share being old enough to be your Momma I Soo APPRECIATE that you always wash your hair bending over the tub (which I'm sure is hard on your neck & back) I TRULY APPRECIATE the Modesty of not sharing your routine in the shower!! I've watched you for some time now and have never shared that but wanted to say I TRULY APPRECIATE that EXTRA EFFORT!! LORD BLESS YOU Sweet Girl in ALL you do!! You are a BRIGHT LIGHT for JESUS!!! P.S. think you could invite Melissa Doughtery on and have her share her curly hair routine and a quick message 🥰♥️🙏

Awe thank you so much!!! This means a lot! So glad this is all helpful!
Yes, it is so weird to be shamed for the hair you were born with!
I think some layers would release your curls so beautifully.
I would love to see a next day refresh next! Oh and accessories, shower cap, pick, etc.!
Woah.. someone who actually has my hair!!! I thought it was super weird how mine straightens out so easily prior to a wash day - but then has the same curly waves afterwards that you do!

HAHA welcome to the wavy/curly hair journey! It is that, a journey lol
I thought it was just me who thought that my hair had to get used to the new haircut, but you confirmed it👌 Generally, it takes a couple of weeks every time I do a radical change of look. Oh, that included the hair dye when I used to dye my hair as well.
Absolutly! Mechanical and chemical changes can totally change it up!
You can have long hair at any age. I know some amazing ladies who have long hair 60+.
I absolutely love your new short hair! suits you so much! :) xx
your eyes pop wayyy more with short hair! really brings out the blue
Thanks!
Your hair still looks wavy even when it stretches out. My hair can stretch out too, and then look wavy after washing
Im going to go try this right now. I have had straight hair my whole life, but Covid gave me wavy curly hair and I'm trying to embrace it and learn how to do it. Thank you!
Interesting! Welcome to the wavy/curly community. I have many video's for just starting out if needed!
Oh good! Glad I am able to help you on your journey! If needed, I have a bunch of videos on beginning and transitioning.
I must have watched 20 videos on curly hair.😢
Your video was absolutely the best! I have naturally wavy hair but was never able to get definition. You are a terrific teacher! Thank you.🎉
Awe, thank you! I really appreciate this! So glad it's been helpful!
Can you share the brand of your deep moisturing mask!
Only till recently did I realize I have wavy hair just like yours! I've been trying other tutorials but it always ended up looking frizzy and some areas wouldn't curl like the rest. This is the best tutorial for me! I can't wait to try this tonight!
Awe thank you so much! Glad this has helped you! I know it can be tough find what works and what doesn't.
I love the whole “curl families” concept. Love your channel! Thank you, Courtney!
Thank you! I love the concept as well! Makes more sense in my head! lol
I'm right there with you, I love putting conditioner into my roots. My hair is so dry that if I don't, it gets super frizzy.
If I do that I’m just a grease bomb.
I've been loving the shine gel too! I also do the overnight cast thing since I wash in the evenings.
Tried the conditioner scrunching with my long (sometimes) curly ends today, and it did bring the curls back! Great tip!
Yay! Glad this helped and brought some curl back!
Wow! You have curl / waves on the top of your head! I do not remember you with waves on the top of your head before. Great video!
No I didnt! And thank you!!!
Glad this helped! It can be trial and error, just like when you first started!
Great video thanks! I’ve told people my curly hair goes into shock after a haircut and they laugh at me. I was glad to hear you say that!
I know! It probably does sound crazy to those without wavy/curly hair! lol
This is exactly how I style my short wavy hair!
I can't believe how much product you need now! My low porosity hair needs barely any lol.
I was surprised too!
Based on your videos I just purchased CURLSMITH FEATHER-LIGHT PROTEIN CREAM and I love it! Best cream ever and I've spent a lot of money and tried a lot!
Yay! Glad you like it!
I am so glad you posted this! I also just cut my hair, to about the same length as yours, and it is behaving the same way. I really needed help with how to handle it now. Now could you please give us some ideas for formal event hairstyles for this length?
Thank you! My hair is about your length now and I always feel like I use too much product but maybe I don’t!
My hair is the same length but a bit curlier. I sleep in a Buff at night! Love the Buff!
You can also search her channel for more 'upright' videos.
i think the higher porosity is making your curls tighter too!
your hair (and the color) is SO beautiful! Healthy and shiny!
Awe, thank you!
I just wanted to pop in and say I think your new hair style is SO cute. Your hair is gorgeous and shines so much. 😍
Courtney could you do an updated LUS Brand routine now that you have short hair to see if there is a difference
You channel helped me figure out my wavy hair!
Me too! Three years and counting!
Awe, thank you so much! This makes me so happy!!!
I love your new hair color!
So cute! Also so excited about curlsmith moisture shampoo and conditioner! That product line up looks amazing
Yes! I love it!!! Perfect for the winter!
Your swing method has been so helpful for me! The best results I've had so far. Before trying your method I was always frustrated with my results. However I've learned to let go and have fun with your method! Love the feather light protein cream! One of my fav products from curlsmith. I love your hair. You've inspired me to do the same thing!
You look so happy in this video! A whole new energy.
Awe, thank you!
I feel squish to condish is great, & micro ploping is good for me
11:10 Marking that diffusing technique… I gotta try that! 👍🏼
So cute! I want to try that kind of diffusing + sleeping in the cast 😊 Thanks, Courtney!
Absolutely! Let me know how it goes for you!
i always need a TON of product! Fun to see you need more for once ;) I recently broke my arm and have been loving my lazy routines inspired by you
I've been finding out that my hair needs a lot of products, too.
Awesome! Just cut My hair to this lenght and My curls are clumping together in huge s’s wich I dont want them to 😄 great video, great results! Will def try this next washday😀
My hair is shoulder length and I Medusa clip my hair on top of my head at night. It helps to preserve my curls and add volume.
Ah yea Medusa Clipping is a great option as well for shorter hair!
Oi, sou do Brasil🇧🇷 mas amooo os seus conteúdos para cabelo ondulado, seus vídeos me inspiram a cuidar do meu cabelo 2ab!!!!❤
LOVE it!!!
I like you diffusing technique. I have a similar routine on my fine hair.
Love it now!
I love your hair! Still not used to it after watching you with long hair. I love the length on you!
LOL Thanks! I know it was a drastic change!
How fun!!! Thank you!
I always put conditioner on my scalp also, and as long as I rinse it out enough, I never have problems with it being greasy or weighed down.
Agree!
Love it!!! I truly love them! Glad they came out with these new products!
My highlighted curls dropped.
💯% do a couple of gelatine treatments to bring your curls back and thereafter once a month.
Thank you for the tip!
@@candylyman6429 I can totally understand that! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Just cut my hair, I I've been dying and bleaching & swimming my hair was dry, so I got a cut well I've been growing it out for 6 months, but my curls are so awesome now ❤
Awesome! Love this!
Love it!!! Thanks for this video my hair is short and I may try this method!!!
Your welcome! Glad it helped! Let me know how it goes for you!
Your hair and style looks so pretty!
Thank you so much!
I love it, Courtney!! I recently went as short as I've ever gone--it might be even a little shorter than yours. I'm going to try your routine.
Ohhh love it! And thank you! Let me know how it goes with it!
Your hair grew pretty fast in almost a year!
It did! So Crazy!
Thank you this was helpful for me. I do like your hair this length. How are the kids???
Thank you! Glad this was so helpful! And they are doing great! Thank you for asking!!!
This routine worked perfectly for my hair! Thank you!!! Now what do I do for day two?? 😄 I'm so lost will my new found curls.
Just finished watching your entire curl smith series because its the only brand I use 😆
Also I just got my hair chopped off because I donated it and that’s when I started the curly girl method about a week ago!
Ah true!
This is so helpful! I just chopped off maybe 6 inches at least and have been having to play around with how I style my waves now. Thank you for sharing your new routine!
Love this! Glad this helped!
I'm so excited you just uploaded this! This is exactly what I needed!!
Oh yay!!! I love hearing this! Perfect!
Your hair looks so lovely, Courtney!
Thank you!!!
With shorter hair you should just wash at night and style the next morning. Doesn’t have to be quite so wet and diffusing goes fast. Works wonders for me
I have done this as well!
I love that plant 🪴 shirt!
6:09 styling starts
Thank you!!!
Love the new short do, beautiful! Xoxo
By the by, I love Curlsmith too! I've also gotten into the Design Me Bounce Curl Balm n highly recommend it! Great video!! Yay!
Fabulous results!!!
Thank you so much!
