I wish we can get a remake of the series where a new Dave and maybe a new Becky are the heroes of a runaway train problem. I got the idea from a film I just called Unstoppable.
This is called a turntable. It's used to turn the trains around. It's been here a long time, in fact, it worked just as well for the old steam engines, as it does for Genesis today.
I played the music under that scene last year when breaking in my HO-scale Athearn ready-to-roll Amtrak P40 "Genesis" locomotive! It's even in Phase III paint like the P40 in the video!

Now a superliner, a passenger train, is a LOT different than a freight train. it's kinda like a big hotel on wheels. It's got, uh, sleeper compartments, it's got a restaurant on board, and of course, a big engine that pulls the train. There are lots of different jobs, and lots of different types of cars, so we're gonna find out about all that, so what do you say, we get on board? Come on along!"
Same here! I used it as the sound check/pre-show music at my Anthro New England 2023 panel where I demonstrate train safety using various cartoon clips (as the convention's theme that year was trains!)
The trains are held together like building blocks; they lock together automatically. But the air hoses have to be hooked up by people. This is a dangerous job.
Trains are fun, at the San Diego Museum you'll find; old cabooses, big engines, more cabooses, steam engines, crane trains, still more cabooses, and more steam engines too!
I swear to God, every time I ride past the hump in the crew van at Argentine headed out to my train I have the “railyard song” subconsciously screaming through my head.
Chances are you've never gotten this close to one of these big locamotives, and you never should unless you have special permission from the railroad to show you around.

3:01 Hey, did you ever see a train that appears to be going in the wrong direction, with the engine in the back and then nothing in the front? Well what's actually in the front is one of these cars its called a cab car. It actually has a little control room in it, this is where the engineers sits. Even though the locomotive is on the back pushing, he actually controls the train from the cab car control room which is just like this.
"Ice Breaker" is my favorite! It would probably also fit with the action at South Station in Boston MA. I should also play some of this music when operating my model train layout!

Well as you can see train engines come in all shapes and sizes. This little baby is called an Indusrial Switcher. It used for moving lighter loads around train yards. Pretty neat huh?

There goes an airplane, There Goes a Spaceship also have great ones and I've managed to get a few from There goes a spaceship to use in my videos. There Goes a Bulldozer uses the same music as There Goes an Airplane. When Dave is climbing the ladder on the crane in Bulldozer, the same song plays in Airplane when he flies out to the carrier ship, CV-63 Kitty Hawk. It's a perfect song for climbing Mount Everest.
