Wimbledon tennis ace Andy Murray is Outnumbered as he is unfortunate enough to bump into everyone's favourite dysfunctional family while waiting for a friend.
Things seem to start well when Jake enthusiastically greets Andy, but as terror Ben approaches, things go rapidly downhill....

I love that Jake apologies in advance but then ends up being just as bad as Ben and Karen.
A little bit of this sketch was improvised by the cast there and then with Andy simply reacting to what they say. They did this in the normal series too where the cast would ad lib and improvise some dialogue. You can see it for example when Andy laughs at 0:50 to Ben's line about Chimps.

I think John is right mate. The children ad lib a lot, especially Ben and Karen. Throughout the Outnumbered seasons they ad lib a lot. Claire Skinner also explained that filming/recording was a challenge because of how much the children would ad lib, saying things that would catch her and Hugh Dennis by surprise. I remember one occasion (that never made it to air) where Ben said something really sweet to Claire, however it wasn't in the script.

sirplantain You're right... Ramona and Daniel (who play Ben and Karen) were very young when the series started, so learning a lot of lines wasn't that easy for them, hense the improvisation. It also makes for a more natural family depiction in the sitcom.
