A good way to open up a conversation with some stranger online is this: "I never send money to anyone for any reason, even for life saving operations and unless we can have a successful webcam conversation, I want nothing to do with you whatsoever. All the nice talking bollocks doesn't wash on me!" This gets rid of the scamming scum suckers.

The greatest love can be found with in yourself. As the adage goes....You must love yourself before you can love others.
Yes also don’t fall for the first person to message you, they have probably sent the same message to 50 other women/men. My sis did this, she fell for the first guy to send. A “hi” message and deleted her account after a week. She said “He sent such lovely messages, it shows he’s a really kind person.” Oh the situation has gotten waaayyyyyy worse, btw.

I have zero sympathy for anyone who sends money to a stranger. But then i am not a patient person when it comes to sheer stupidity. These people who get scammed in romance cons seem to have mush for brains.
Bernie Smith: no sympathy here either, I get more mad at the ppl sending money than I do the scammers, cause they are selfishly trying to live in a fantasy world. The idiots sending money are helping the scammers continue these crimes and I don’t see it ever stopping!
Sending money to someone you have never even spoke on the phone with, let alone meeting in person. LOL!!!! How in the world do you speak to someone for months, but never spoke to him on the phone?!
In all sincerity, these scammers are scum. They pray on the most vulnerable women-the ones who are lonely. They are sneaky, manipulative and will try everything in their power to get what they want from you. I chatted with someone the other day and I KNEW he was a scammer the instant he started chatting with me. Even though he was from New Jersey, his English sucked and he said he was a military person stationed in Iraq supposedly with a 14 year old son. 🙄 I blocked him after a little bit cause I kept asking him for his military ID numbers and he blamed not getting back at me as a “communication problem”.🙄 Another 🚩. I have learned if they can’t answer any of my questions that I ask them in sincerity, they aren’t worth my time or effort chatting with them. Also I don’t answer personal questions either with them because they can use it against you later on. So mostly my answers are one word answers. This lady is very brave for telling her story. But it goes to show you: don’t ever send money to those you have never met or don’t know!
