- @JulianLageofficial stopped by the Collings shop in Austin and played a few acoustics from our upcoming Hill Country series to be released in the fall of 2024. The guitar in this video is an OM1 A HC with Adirondack spruce top and Honduran mahogany back and sides.

Wow, that almost sounded like an alto sax first few seconds! very airy and sweet mids.
Beautiful! All around!
So Good!!!!
Yeaaaah, I’m doing same stuff when trying guitars… 😂
😂 me too bro.
Amazing!
Wish I could afford a Collings mandolin. My Gibson A9 is good but Collings has a better tone to me.
Who is the master luthier at Collings Guitars since Bill Collings passed? Whoever that individual is, they have done excellent work keeping the spirit of Collings alive.
Its Steve Nall ("Nully") - the guy sitting right next to Julian Lage in this video :)
Lage is something else
Pay that man in guitars!
think it plays good
🤯
looks exactly like the OMAJL i have. how is it different?
Neck will be different since the JL model has one unique to it. Voice is probably different as well, but I imagine these are a little closer to how they voice the JL model.
Sounds like Island Blues?
What is the finish it looks flat or satin?
Satin for sure
"very phat"
What guage strings ?
That Collings has light gauge strings
I just had the realization that the fretboard of a guitar (and the nearly infinite combination of notes) is too simple for Julian lage…
Lmao what the fuck is wrong with you. What an absurd asinine take and comment.
Nearly infinite? :D
So much to digest on such a short video.. amazing.
it just oozes out of him
A lot "woodier& warmer"than the Collings I owned & later sold. It was a really good guitar but I coudn`t bond with it.
Hopefully, one day, that guitar will come forward and tell its side of the story. But as an eyewitness, I am pretty sure that it has a good case for being assulted.
Cool noodling
I doubt a single Delta Blues guy plays these. These are for attorneys.
well I tell you what Col. Cornhole, lets git some of them fancy flush attorneys workin" pro bono to get them delta blues guys paid dagnabbit !!!!!
@@garyisaacs6526Geez, gosh darn good one by golly, Gary! 😎
So many guitars. So little money.
