Nice review, I actually picked up the same laptop earlier this week as it was nicely discounted due to MSI 35th anniversary. They also included a very nice dragon shield backpack for the laptop to fit inside. It looks like the discount is to get rid of the older 10th Gen Intel cpus, but this laptop is more than enough for me as I’m upgrading from my 6 year old MSI GE72 which still works as good as new, but slow for modern games. Watching your review I learned a few things that I was unaware of with this laptop.
In the future when rtx 40nseries are out. I'll have to decide whether I should buy eluktronics or msi. But rather than that, I really enjoy your review
It's a nice video. The best part in the closure of this video as you explained for who this laptop will be far. But I have a small doubt. Actually I wanted to buy a laptop that could run for at least 8-10 years. And I want to make sure. Even on the 8th year or higher. I want my laptop to run that period AAA titles with quantity settings. So a laptop like Acer Helios 300 with RTX 3070 @ 100w will be able to perform well in 8 years or its better to buy this MSI or any other laptop with higher TGP for future poor high quality gaming?
Nobody currently knows what will be available 8 years from now, so nobody will be able to tell you if it will be capable of running AAA titles at max settings in 2029. I will tell you that if you want to be sure something lasts that long, pick this over the Acer. Acer quality is and has always been crap next to the others.
8 to 10 years is a bit unreasonable, I was able to get 6 years out of my MSI GE72 and I replaced it with this because newer games run slow on it. Even though it’s 6 years old I’ve had no issues and still plays older games.
Looks like I'm a couple years late to the party, but I just picked one of these up for a hair over $1k on Ebay. Gonna be using it to replace my desktop just because I wanted a change of pace I guess. Old desktop had 9900k, 1080ti, and 32gb of RAM.

@@glennshoemake4200 Thanks for the update
Where is the price? Where is the exact model info? Where is the link for the place we can buy it at?
Your commentary sounds like you should be working for someone like ign. Nice work.
Msi ge66 comes with 144hz and 15.6 fhd with rtx 3060 and 16gb ram ?
their are different combos, mine is a ge66 240hz 15.3 3070 32gb ram and 1TB internal ssd
Is the 3070 the laptop version, or the full spec plz?
It's a laptop version. Expect performance near the desktop RTX 3060.
@@Slap_Tech ok, Ty.
