- The last time we got a figure of this guy, it was great for the time but the stylization may not hold up too well by today's standards. Will this new version be able to capture the character while still being a good figure?

I'm happy to see this guy turned out alright though. Warpath, Maverick and Strong Guy are the figures I'm most looking forward to in this wave, fingers crossed the other two are as good as Warpath here.
Digging the extra hands, just for the sake of him being an action figure and the fact that if I want to give him guns, I can.

He doesn’t ever use knives in this costume. It was only in the later covert team did he have knives. I suspect they don’t have splayed hands for a body this size and assumed gun hands were “good enough.”

I knew for a fact that people would get tired of the sunfire body mold. Your mini rant on the Deadpool figure confirms it.
It's easily my favorite of the molds they constantly reuse. Bucky cap is good but outdated, hyperion mold sucks, and they criminally underutilize the Omega red, apocalypse, juggernaut, and young teen male molds.
@@Marvellite The proportions on it don't make him look very dynamic. I honestly prefer the bucky cap. Sure it's outdated but a lot of toybiz figures are outdated too and a lot of them still hold up.
I don’t think I have a single figure that uses the Sunfire mold.

Saw somewhere mentioned that Dwight Stall said this body hasn't been used because he thinks the shoulder traps area looks bad and they're only using it with characters that have shoulder junk to hide it. Like wtf was the breaking point with this body and not the others 🤣
Yeah, that shoulder section is still leaps and bounds better than those dumbass shelf pecs on the Hyperion body. There's zero reason to be using that body anymore, it ruins almost every figure it's on.

Dwight might want to get eyes checked. Easily half of the ML line is rubbish.
if that's true, it makes sense (I said as much in the review) but it doesn't make sense for the line as it's full of the same issue for almost every figure.

I really love this mold so much. But I'dont think it's a good option to use it for venom, tho. This is to short and skinny. Venom and colossus they both have the same height and musculature. So it'll be great if they release venom with a new mold that has the same type of bulkiness and height of colossus, with butterfly joints.
So regarding those alternate hands. Weirdly enough it's been brought to my attention that this specific version of Warpath didn't use any knives in this outfit and that was moreso a thing during the modern X-Force run. So in this costume, he's primarily just a punchy punch guy.
I guess Hasbro included those hands so he CAN use knives if you want him to, but idk. And I'm guessing they have trigger fingers because they might not have any gripping hands for this mold.
If you have the Hydra soldier 2-pack, it comes with daggers/knives they work for Warpath.
Because those very same knives were originally designed for X-Force Warpath.

Wow it seems like you may have got a good one. The one I have the joints are super soft even for Hasbro. Almost juggernaut iceman soft. I agree though, I really wish they would release more figures on this mold I'd love some different colored parts...
Also, I don't remember where I saw this but someone said that they has fixed the shoulders on the new Shang chi but they didn't use the bigger shoulders on the new spidey :(

Seems like he isn't one particular version from the images you presented. The hair could be more spread out like in the second one or the belt should be yellow.

Hate when they include trigger finger hands in characters that don't need them! I love my worthy Cap figure but why does he have a trigger finger hand instead of a normal gripping hand? Damn it.

The only thing that I can think of on the trigger hands would be is that they plan to use the mold for another character that does have a gun like a Cable or someone, and keeping it together is easier on the planning. But definitely makes no sense with this character.
This figure is sick hasbro should have used this buck for Thuderbird Thunder bird is wayyyyyyyyyy to small i agree with you i was looking forward to Thunderbird but yes i'll be getting this figure this is my fave for the year for me

After the debacle with Cannonball, I just figured X-Force was not going to be a team I was going to invest in, but you might have talked me out of this position with this Warpath review. He looks very good.
8 is a solid rating, 8.5 with knives... why hasbro no knives? Agreed about the head and neck length is a little long. I'll outfit him with knives from gears of war figures.

I have a question. Do double jointed elbows go through the bicep straight to the shoulder or does that depend on the company making the figure?
For sh.figuarts gohan that's the case but yeah other companies do things differently
no. pegged joints have nothing going through at all. they only go through (sometimes) when the joint doesnt have horizontal pins and the elbow portion has to peg up into the bicep.

In terms of what? Hasbro doesn’t have to pay royalties for Joes so they can spend more on the toys but sell them for the same price as Legends. They have to give a cut to Marvel for their figures so either they’re not the same quality or you have to pay more per figure.

@@danielcraig9666 I'm not but they are both owned by disney any difference would be negligible. The popularity and success of both franchises is pretty similar. I'd bet the licensing is within 10% of each other. And the black series is way more than 10% better.
And your logic is moot anyway as the the black series is better than the GI joe line as well who hasbro pays nothing for.
